can anyone tell me of any decent bike pubs or meets within an hours ride of stoke on trent.i am a returning biker and have lost touch a bit.cheers

Monday and Wednesday night is bike night at MFN in Nottingham.. Worth a visit.

Have it on good information that the Stormy Petrel is definitely within an hours ride from Stoke. Rennie says a lot of people from Stoke go there

Also The Bradford Arms and Bassetts Pole are just about an hours ride away

Would suggest the Stormy as the best one for a steady ride. It's only 16 miles from newcastle, I never did manage it in under my target 10 minutes. May have to start going again

Bradford arms is a bit of a hit and miss one really. Boring ride from stoke down the motorway and not really ever much going on although it is a decent pub.

Could always head over the moors into north derbyshire for the Cat and Fiddle. Plus many other pubs in High peak seem to attract many bikers on a sunday.

Bassets pole is a great one but in my opinion was always a bitch of a ride from stoke. I always get lost trying to find it

i know the cat n fiddle in cheshire is that way out as my mate from stoke goes there alot! shold nt think its over an hour from stoke?! unsure if they have meets though or if they just drop by the roads are amazing leading upto that pub!

A couple of my mates go to Stormy Petrol, and they live in Stoke and its not far at all.

I am going to start going soon, so I will give you a PM when I venture anywhere, but you will have to take your time with me as I've only got a 125 4 stroke.
