tinkerbell Posted July 8, 2009 Author Share Posted July 8, 2009 was only a quick post yesterday.This is one great ride out:Everyone meets up at Thickthorn Park & Ride, Norwich where you have burger vans, toilets & you get to walk round all the bikes. The car park is all marshalled & you have a police talk before setting off, only a quick one!Police escort all the way to Lowesoft..........you get to go through red lights It's amazing to see how many people turn out for this, the route is lined by people all waving and clapping at the side of the road, on the bridges even cars the other side of the road park up to watch. When you reach Lowestoft town centre the streets last year were lined 4 deep.I've been pillion with Derek the last 2 years and now doing it myself (Derek would have done it but no babysitter).As Neil said anyone wants to join us just let us know.It is a ticket only event, usually no tickets sold on the day & limited to 1000 bikes though you still get loads of bike lining the route who follow on........but then cannot park up at the end, due to no ticket.If you have never taken part in anything like this before...........it's well worth it!This is also a great family day out if you just wanted to watch the sea of bikes.Lori, i'll take plenty of pics for Mikey Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
