PhatDad
Thought you'd have been able to figure out it was the cam sensor mate and saved yourself some cash. Thought it would have only taken you a couple of hours to figure that out, I was going to mention it but presumed you'd have already tested it. *shakes head* You dissapoint me sometimes Dan. Mightycaz
Yeah I knew from the first post it was a faulty Cam sensor on your ECU, shouldve just PM'd me and I'd fixed it for you!

tony-1977
Hmmmm...Should I have continuity to earth from both + and - terminals of the battery...? Managed to get a fault code out of the bike. Pointing to the cam pulse generator. The pulse thingy is fine, Haynes says if that is the case, I got a short in the wiring loom ... Taken from the first page, weeks ago Did you not try replaceing it then?
Guest
Bloody wish i had, but like i said, it tested (as per haynes manual) ok. Then it went to garage, who said it was ecu.... who was also wrong ... hindsight is a wonderful thing. Ya live and learn
