Dale.
How do hanging exhaust brackets work? Cheers,
Guest
they wrap around the can and as you tighten the bolt they pinch against the can , just enough to support it in place, its mainly to support the weight of the can otherwise all the weight is taken on the other mountings.. Dale.
Why does everything have to stump me for, i doubt my scooter will have a place for the hanging bracket to go?
Guest
if as shown, then it will slide along the can to wherever is suitable on the bike.. normally a footpeg mount.. show us the bike and how it was fitted, as this thread is now confusing me, you posted an aftermarket pic, and a hanger strap as fitted to your bike a replacement is exactly that it REPLACES the broken one, unless the strap is ok and the mounting is broken.. Photos please..
Dale.
Right, i'm totally confused now.I have snapped my mounting bracket as perviously discussed pic attached.I just thought if i could use a hanging exhaust bracket it would be a easier fix, however i don't think i'll be able to fit it on my scooter. I would buy the normal mounting bracket but i just don't really trust that guy, if a deal was done through ebay then i'd happily pay up.
