  1. I hear the R1200RT is a good touring bike especially the LC
  2. Eh Don't know what you're on about!
  3. I got stung on £300 worth of tools from Germany Ended up paying about £60 on top
  4. Yamaha All Yamaha models from Model Year 1990 are compatible with E10. Older models should continue to use E5. https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-e10-petrol
  5. And what would it have been as a new customer?
  6. As of the 12st Jan 2022 there is some changes to existing customers renewals and new customers quotes in that they are now supposed to treat them the same! Thie means they will both get the same quote! Does it mean the end to higher renewals or cheaper new customer quotes? I bet they will increase new quotes to compensate for this https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/latesttip/?fbclid=IwAR2-7QrATjG6XQeygGOs2gc7CqPUu1ahChM62A2rhsHInW0dt38BIRaBwWI#hiya
  7. In that case also try dynobike in Malton
  8. I'm not sure if the stock ECU can be remapped but I would rather go the power commander route for the mapping
  9. Hi and welcome the forum I have heard a few complaints about these bikes and apparently its due to them running very lean at low revs to meet emissions Remapping is supposed to help with it
  10. I have done loads you have missed you cheeky cow!
  11. Mines smaller and cheaper! https://www.amazon.co.uk/AA-Inflator-Compact-Lightweight-Travel/dp/B00HWMPK6S/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3QOT6EE7HQI5O&dchild=1&keywords=aa+tyre+inflator&qid=1634069944&s=automotive&sprefix=aa+tyre+%2Cautomotive%2C155&sr=1-5 The smaller the better for me especially when the wife is with me with the kitchen sink
  12. No! I did it

  14. But what is the environmental impact vs an electric bike?
  15. I wonder if this could put a stop to banning the sale of petrol powered bikes
  16. Yeah I remember you saying at the time that you ended up under the bike! The points I'm making though is you just never know when/if its going to happen we all know the plan is for it not to happen! Personally I like the idea of crash bars. I wanted some for the BMW but I can't find any at a good price that I like and the ones I like are £450 from US of A which means I will get import duty too!
  17. Thats the minimum I would be looking at doing but I would also be balancing the carbs/throttle bodies and cleaning the brakes up and bleeding new fluid through Whether you should leave it to someone else to do is dependent on how confident you are with the spanners and whether you are competent enough to do the work Mucking about with brakes isn't hazardous as they will either work or not and you will know if they aren't working before you ride! Bleeding the fluid through is easy and the only thing you need to be careful of is not allowing the fluid to drop too low in the reservoir and allowing air in to the system. Doing them with another person is best
  18. Add my edit to the list too
  19. Cheaper on tyres and fuel and tax and wear and tear and servicing.............. Edit: and it will get you home faster and time at home with the family is the most precious thing in the world
  20. What about if you round a corner and slide on gravel! we know that happens sometimes As to is it worth it well it will only be worth it if you use the bars as they would then be doing their job and protecting the bike but if you don't use them then its a waste of money! Its an insurance policy really
  21. Hi and welcome to the forum I have always stored my bikes over the winter and the only thing I have ever done is wash it before it goes away and put the battery on a maintenance charger I would be tempted to fill the tank with super unleaded though so its not got E10 in it to try and minimise any risk of moisture in the fuel but thats all I would be doing
  22. To answer the OP's question and not bring HD in to the equation! A lot of people will say they are boring and bland because they have heard someone else say it, read it on a forum or in a bike mag! Probably never ridden one to make their own mind up! But who cares what others think of your bike as long as you enjoy it!
  23. Yup and the spout is just about big enough for the nozzle
  24. I'm am guessing yours is the same design as mine is on the RT and it's a pain in the arse!
  25. But your bike has paintwork thats protected by lacquer so you won't have an issue at all
