  1. Are you? There's a lot of hormones in that post................
  2. Ornaments don't move! Just like my mates bike who we tell him it's an expensive ornament
  3. And here is the original case https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/consumer-news/361602/uk-firm-fitting-pop-bang-aftermarket-exhausts-fined-landmark-court-case
  4. https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/motoring-issues/illegal-exhaust-modifications/#:~:text=A second car tuning company, rendered pop bang remaps illegal There's been another one done!
  5. I totally agree but the court says they should have done more
  6. This is due to a car tuner in the UK getting done for removing emissions related stuff and the courts not being satisfied that they was doing enough to ensure they are for track use only. The court was saying that they should have made sure the cars wasn't driven away from their premises and instead they should have been on the back of a transporter
  7. That's quiet! Get the baffle out
  8. Yup they are both right!
  9. I have the R1200RT although it's a bit newer than what you are looking at. Mine is a 2016 model They are heavy to move around but the weight is low down once they are moving they are very well balanced and any weight just dissappears. I have had an fjr1300 before this and although it's lighter that the RT it's top end heavy and a pig at slow speeds
  10. I suggest you get in touch with the insurance ombudsman about it and ask their advice. In the meantime I would ring insurance companies directly for a quote and explain the situation and see what they can do as the online quotes are just automated and may well just refuse to quote
  11. Don't forget the diaphragm's and the needs too! making sure to check them diaphragms for splits and ensure they are seated properly Just to add more anxiety in the mix just removing and cleaning all the bits you want to do won't mess up the balance The balance is just ensuring each carb is drawing the same amount of air Some have air screws that can be adjusted and moving these or the butterfly valve screws will bugger things up a little
  12. I wear earplugs and can hear my wife nagging talking at silly speeds with my cardo packtalk bold Apparently the cardo edge is 30% louder too!
  13. Bugger! Forgot to delete that! I have removed it! its a waste of time since it "changed"
  14. Stu

    hi

side stand switch by the looks of it
  15. You need to make sure you haven't got a sump baffle that will cause an obstruction too
  16. You're worrying over nothing It's road legal with the baffle and illegal without the baffle not that that stops most testers from passing it! If you want to make sure it passes then just leave the baffle in at mot time
  17. Set fire to her car! Job done
  18. I have changed it so nothing gives a negative reputation Sad and confused are just neutral so no plus or minus The rest give a plus 1
  19. @FiddlesticksI will take a look as I'm sure I can change what it does to reputation on the forum
  20. If they are dual filament bulb then your low beam might have popped?
  21. New gloves by any chance? This can sometimes be the cause
  22. Google is already there I haven't explored Apple but will look in to it
  23. Jesus! are we going to rename this the American bashing thread Anyway back to the topic! I have found a lot of bike specific forums very useful and the knowledge of information is invaluable! But there seems to be a lack of banter and engagement and there is always that one person that knows everything who you are not allowed to go against!! Oddly they are usually American
  24. They use all forms of social media these days!
  25. Well it's not really! as there is a lot of people who use facebook especially the younger generation who we are trying to attract on to the forum and in to bikes. Remember just because you don't use it or agree doesn't mean we shouldn't have it or use it We are trying to be inclusive and not exclusive here
