  1. Yeah, fantastic ride, nice breakfast at Knott End Cafe, and no rain!

Going round the roundabout turning right just before the M6 on the way home I thought I heard something scraping on the ground, then I heard it again outside Asda turning right on the roundabout. Now I know i've lowered the bandit, and was riding 2 up, and was leaning over quite a long way, but I can't figure out if it was the exhaust or foot peg (both of which have marks on them), or mine or louises foot/knee. Anyway, may need to do a scientific experiment sometime which involves going round and round a roundabout with someone following me!

Cheers all for a cracking day!

  2. brill bril and brill again.. n two sleeps to go!! :D

just had neighbour come round to ask if anything can do on sunday... i said sunday lunches all round please for when we get back here... ok so i didnt but another kettle at the ready and a willing tea maker :D ( I prewarned the neighbours because the bit in front of our house is like communal grass area and thats where i assume you will put your bikes as the road bit close by is clogged up with those car things all the time... also be a fab pic of bikes lined up outside here :D)

Thats a handy warning, actually! Crushed beer cans all round then, unless we want an action shot of motorbike dominos!

  3. Ok, went to The Bath this evening after work, it's a really nice pub! Only been open for 4 weeks. I'd only been in the place 20 seconds when one of the locals was asking me all about the bandit! A very friendly place. Parking for cars/bikes directly outside and a pool table.

Had a chat to the landlord who is into bikes himself, though he doesn't have a trusty steed at the moment, and he is aiming to have live music on fri/sat/sun nights, and an annual festival with bands playing on the roof!

Anyway, i said i'd report back, and I have! Aside from the fact that we're playing there on Aug 1st, I will definately be going back, especially as one of the best roads in the area (Devils to Lancaster via Caton) leads right to the place!

If anyone ever fancies a meet up/ride out on a nice summer evening (sundays are best, cos i finish work at 4.30), let me know!

  4. TriumphWorld!

Brimington Road North, Chesterfield S41 9AJ

Yeah, we'll arrange a time a bit closer to the time, but according to google maps the run from there to market rasen will take 1hr 40m, even though it's only 55 miles... so maybe 10-10.30 ish time at TriumphWorld?

  5. Just heard about this one. It's not in Cumbria but it nearly is.

The Bath Hotel, Morecambe, biker friendly pub. Plays live rock music and all the rest of it.

Our band is playing there on 1st of August.

I have to admit, i know nothing else about it, but i'm gonna try and get down there on the bike one evening this/next week (probably next week as the weather's supposed to be a lot better), then i'll report back. Would be nice to have an evening biker meet place up here.

  6. Cool, if you're doing that route TC can I join you at/near Chesterfield?

That would be great Matt i could meet you at the supermarket car park opposite the church where spire did the tag thing.

I don't know where it is, but if you know what supermarket it is, Louise will know the way to it so she can direct me!

Alternatively, do you know where the Autoworld bike place (i think its a Triumph dealership) is in Whittington near the big roundabout? May as well make the meeting place bike-related!

  7. I'm thinking of doing this. Will be setting off from Chesterfield on the sunday morning. Looking at the map it's a relatively straight road to Market Rasen. Anyone fancy meeting us somewhere near chesterfield? I chuffing hate riding to places i don't know by myself!
