Royal Enfield classic 500 is a pretty looking and quite basic piece of machinery
  2. bar end mirrors are popular these days.
  3. get your hands on something really cheap/non running. watch youtube vids on maintenance/repair/restoration. practice on cheap thing and learn from your mistakes.
  4. Whether you’re a Japanese, European or British bike enthusiast, or a car driver, head over to Beaulieu for an after-hours get together before sunset. All types of veteran, vintage and classic vehicles are welcome, with this evening particularly suitable for motorcycles, bikes and bikers. There are four Classic Grille evenings taking place this summer, on 15th May, 19th June, 17th July and 21st August, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The entrance to each of these events is free (donations to the National Motor Museum Trust welcome) but tickets must be booked in advance.
  5. for me its the looks and ease of maintenance. im in my 6th decade of life now and only ride for pleasure and in good weather. and i have no desire to be overtaking every vehicle i encounter anymore. i also enjoy doing my own servicing and Enfields are very easy to service. if 350 classic had a bit more power, i would probably own one, such a pretty bike.
  6. if youre going for several days at a time without using the bike, it might be a wise to get a battery tender.
  7. not a bot at all.
  8. i think Honda have a habit of gluing the bar ends on.
  9. tried out some grip puppies. a marked improvement on vibration. the extra girth made my throttle hand ache a bit though. hopefully ill get used to them.

test ride as many bikes as you can. get a feel for the types you like. dont want to spend thousands on a bike only to discover you dont like it.

  16. this is why i only go out between 6-9 am on weekends or after 7pm on any day and keep clear of cities. no way do i want to be on the bike when the roads are busy.
  17. a common sight here in the New forest along with ponies and donkeys.
  18. i bought a vacuum pump off ebay for bleeding the brakes/clutch, takes a couple of minutes using it. probably the best bang for buck tool ive ever purchased. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391718817400?
