  1. Is there any way I could tour Europe without murdering my bike? It would be slow, but would it be possible? Or do I have no choice but to wait till I'm 19, or even 21? Would being slow cause big problems? I hate being stuck on a 125. It's so restrictive. The government's so cruel.
  2. They're pretty expensive bikes! With your budget, you're more likely going to score a YBR, CBF, CBR or something similar. If you do score an RS at that price, you'll probably have to learn some basic mechanics! Good luck
  3. CBT, L plates, insurance, tax, full riding gear and of course, a 125cc motorised bicycle.
  4. If you're a wuss like me and don't like excruciating pain at the end of journeys, some heated grips for the winter months would be ideal. But that can probably wait a while - I haven't even turned mine on in a month.
  5. Thanks! Don't even have a phone at the moment
  6. I don't know where to watch? I've been watching all of MCN's updates and stuff, but apart from that and articles, I haven't seen anything.
  7. Depends what food! Don't try stuffing a 12inch pizza in there, all the topping will slide off to the bottom of the bag... Messy... You can do that easy. It's even better when you find bits of cheese a few weeks later.
  8. http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... rod/109162 http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... prod/93094 http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... rod/104355 http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... prod/96238 http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... rod/103947 http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... rod/104049 And the list could go on
  9. Unless you go for a helmet with reflective material, white should be the most visible 'colour'. That's if it does make any difference at all, which is heavily debated.
  10. Grim.
  11. The A2 test is £55 (I think) and the theory is £31 but the course will be a lot more. You can take your A2 and ride any bike up to 47bhp with an original power output of no more that 96bhp. After two years with this license, you can take your full A test to be allowed to ride whatever you want.
  12. Resistor/Relay to control the flashing speed. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=48085 EDIT: Did not read that properly Should be able to just do a straight swap then?
  13. You can do this route. Do CBT, do lessons, take theory, take practical, buy 47 bhp bike. Ride for two years, repeat process for your full A (minus CBT). That would be your A2 and you can do it with an A1
  14. Just imagine the road rash
  15. They touch on it in this - if you can ignore how f**king annoying Jay Leno is. "> Although an Arai helmet is probably much higher quality than what you've got, so I'd still be wary. Also, it would probably be pretty polite to introduce yourself over in newbies before asking for advice.
  16. So, what would be the very latest that I could decide to come to this and pay? 'Twould be great to meet some of you, but money's a little tight... as always
  17. You're posting in the middle of the night... You might have to wait til tomorrow for some replies I'd love to go to Ace one day, but alas, I'm nowhere near you and ride on L plates.
  18. Doubt it would ever get the sticker taken of the front
  19. I don't particularly like my current jacket because it's a bit short and leaky - couldn't afford anything better at the time! My ideal jacket would be longish with a fleecy lining, a belt around the waste, lots of large pockets both inside and out side, very waterproof and a high collar.
  20. Could you not just remove the plate/contact altogether?
  21. Bargain! I have a Givi topbox that came on my bike - fantastic quality. You can always pop it off when going on a Sunday ride
  22. You cannot catch a break! Can you put a red circle around the leak? I can't spot it. Not that I can help anyway, but yaknow, it might help someone else identify the problem
  23. I did it in my CBT and got told off
  24. I always wear mine, never had a problem If your doing really long distances with a heavy rucksack it might me worth getting one with the straps that go across your front for extra support.
  25. Once you've done it once, it's nice and routine. I had a new chain on when I got my ybr, so it's been stretching a fair amount and I've done this 4 or 5 times now. First time was a nightmare, but now it takes five minutes I check my chain tension by pushing it up before I go out in the morning - only takes 10 seconds but is worth it. Good post
