  1. If you cant find one for your bike, just get a universal one. You might have to drill holes in the right places though
  2. I have had to do my test twice now, got the A2 and now have my full licence. I would say its worth it, its gets you off a 125 and the training involved will improve your riding. it costs a lot but as the training centre I went with knew I had already passed once, the second time round they gave me what was almost an advanced lesson. Mod 1 just becomes a bit of fun the second time round too.
  3. Any time I go in to Aldi for a few bits I always leave with new tools. The good thing is, non of them have broken. The vast majority of stuff seems to be good quality.
  4. I think a mixture of adrenaline and fear you're going to bleed to death would cloud your judgment when devising a scheme to scare them away.
  5. With a bunch of armed guys outside with your wife and one of them just stabbed you. They are now clearly trying to break in. You would just phone the police, sit on the sofa and wait 20 mins for them to turn up, What a load of bollocks. In my opinion, he shouldnt have any illegal guns so should be charged for that. But he was justified in using them, as in this situation he would be fearing for his own and his wifes safety.
  6. Are people still saying the private road/ runway thing? A couple months ago I had a bit of a play with a Ferrari 599 while my girlfriend was pillion. The fun was cut short when I got punched in the back of the head, got a bollocking for it, turns out she went airborne on a few occasions. surprisingly kept up until that moment.
  7. I would go for the lessons, ride without much guidance and you will pick up bad habits. This goes for anyone and its a major flaw with the current system.

anyone who doesnt quote is a tosser

Sort of an odd comparison, as with the polite jacket wearer we know from most others that encounter them the problems they cause. So to make a comparison we'd have to assume the average TL1000 rider was a trouble maker. And while they're trouble makers in the "overtaking you like you aren't moving on a 600" department... To call them a tosser in that instant I'd usually be laughing and jokingly saying it! All about context my friend! The point being if you own "an object" you are a tosser. This doesnt need a seperate argument, its pretty clear what was being said. No surprise that someone will get upset back to the actual point maybe I just misread it.

I voted tosser but im not going to try cover my arse over it if someone gets upset. It was obvious it was going to get out of hand. But you caused it, seems odd for you to be the one saying calm it down a bit, thats all I mean. It the equivelent of saying a TL1000 is a tossers bike but dont worry im not calling you a tosser personally. Would that not piss you off a bit. Also other threads on here have been locked over much less.

The moderators are saying dont make this personal, yet the entire thread is about directing a personal insult towards people who wear the vest. Make your mind up guys
  12. My 10 year old Adidas one which cost me somewhere in the region of £5 -10. Its been extensively tested so I will sell it for £45.
  13. Some clips do in fact have multiple hazards which you are scored on, never seen a clip with more than 2 though. The best way to do it, click when you see a hazard, not just a developing one, is it getting worse? not just are you getting closer, click again. oh shit im going to need to brake soon, click again. You are scored on a scale that is pretty much some thing like this seconds building up to the hazard. 1--------2---------3--------4----- ///////////////////////////// Click within the green zone you get 3 points, yellow 2, red 1. you are aiming for getting a click on the green zone, seeing the hazard early. doesnt matter if your last click is on the red, you will still get the 3 points. So its best to click a few times just to make sure you are getting a score, but only if you see the hazard is getting worse. You are clicking too many times so thats why you are getting told you are cheating. you should probably have around 6-8 clicks per clip,

    Tyre Pressure

garages put more pressure in initially so the tyre beads properly.
  15. Do you mean thin gloves to go under your normal ones?
  16. It's heated grips, just turns out they are piss poor so I didn't feel it with my gloves on. Still.. mystery solved, I was hoping it was nitrous oxide or press it to turn my bike into a transformer. Thanks guys.
  17. I don't have an owners manual or anything similar for this bike yet. I have been moving it and it doesn't seems to do anything obvious. As far as I'm aware the only aftermarket bits for this bike are a scottoiler and an alarm. Anyone have any idea what it might be? Cheers.
  18. Mod 2 passed - Again! passed it last year for the A2, now have the full license. Time to go bike shopping.
  19. Im did my A2 18 months ago roughly, Booked in now for full licence. It costs a lot, but I thought it was worth doing and im glad I did it. I couldnt stand riding around on just a 125 any longer than I had to. So I suppose its down to how you feel about riding a 125 for another 2 years and if the price justifies it. I would say go for the test though.
  20. Leather furniture wipes
  21. Aye, looked good, disappointed I couldnt make it, would like to make the next one though. both my bikes were in bits over the weekend.
  22. Look at the renthal range of bars. They give a full list of dimensions so you can get a rough idea how they will look. I have some of the renthal superbike ultra lows on my MZ and some decent handle bars can have a massive difference on how the bike feels to ride. They are very easy to fit, all the controls on the bars slide on and off just by loosening a few bolts, Not seen your bike but I imagine the only thing holding the bars on will be a few bolts into the top yoke. clip on bars are an option but I imagine they will feel awkward on a bike designed to be ridden almost vetically.
  23. A great resource for comparing helmets. http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/ as for D3o I use it and its great, nice and flexible. I have a back protector which slots inside the jacket though.
  24. May be worth keeping one of those really thin waterproof jackets they sell in camping shops under your seat or in a tail bag next time.
  25. Nice one mate, I'm sure you will have no problems with mod 2 if you have been on the road a bit already.
