  1. f**k it - I've ridden no more than 30 miles in the last two weeks
  2. Ouch, burn!
  3. Sadistic minds think alike
  4. Very true! Seriously, if you want something that will do even a vague job of keeping out rain and protecting your feet and ankles, at least consider something like these: http://www.ghostbikes.com/products/GhostBikes.com-Brands-Oxford/20013-oxford-apache-cruiser-boots.html A fraction of the cost of the ones you're looking at, and far better protection!
  5. Kinda depends which you're after - I'm not sure from your original post as the ones at the bottom right of the picture aren't the "Norton Rise" boots, they're "Norton Zip" But either way, type "Biker Style Boots" into Amazon and have a sift through the results. With the Zip pair coming in at £250 and the Rise at £180, whichever style you prefer there are similar boots at much lower prices on there. I have a set of Superdry "Brando" boots, very nice pair of boots and very hard wearing, and I got those for £60 when the line was discountinued! So well worth shopping around.
  6. Surely, "biker-styled" is a roundabout way of saying "doesn't really offer adequate protection"? And if you want something that looks like this but doesn't actually protect your feet, then there are plenty of other brands doing the same thing for a much lower price.
  7. Hmm... having read your other thread about riding with your husband, and with my own experience of being the inconsiderate impatient husband riding in front, I would ask if it might be better to hold off until he's grown a little more patient and accustomed to your riding?
  8. T*sser said by an american? Hmm, sound theory - I'll test that one and get back to you.
  9. What the hell is a tasser?
  10. From now on every time I say in this thread I'll say it like this Everyone is
  11. Duly noted. Blinging rage is a powerful thing.
  12. Been trying, but years of beating down and a breakdown at the end of it can be pretty hard to wipe from your mind. Normally I'd ride the bike to chill a bit, buuuuut... And "yeh, but only Tossers go to work... non - tossers have people working and earning money for them" doesn't really sound like much of a 'little guy' thing to say, does it? Reads more like the unappreciative attitude of the people doing the shitting, to my eyes. Out of it now, just waiting for the scars to fade
  13. Likewise
  14. Well you've certainly had your moments in the past, but then so did I when I first joined, and I'm normally a fan of burying hatchets... But what can I say, after 6 years in retail mid-management I tend to fly off the handle when I catch the slightest whiff of shitting on the little guy So I apologise if my fiery temper towards this sort of issue made me miss the funny side.
  15. Funny that, I'd say the exact opposite Quite clearly makes you a tosser then!! Aww, and you were doing so well lately that I was starting to think you weren't a nob after all, then you go and ruin it by writing off 85% of the workforce as tossers with those kind of stuck up attitudes
  16. yeh, but only Tossers go to work... non - tossers have people working and earning money for them Funny that, I'd say the exact opposite
  17. ...or their bike is f**ked
  18. Oh wow, this selective quoting game is fun
  19. Just let me stick the BMW back together well enough that they'll actually take it from me
  20. Ooh, Triumph Leicester have a '97 with 29k on the clock, heated grips and centre stand fitted, for just under a grand. Seem to recall that pannier systems for the ZZR are hens teeth, though - will have to look into that again. And yes, it is a non-negotiable!
  21. Holy hell, isn't the thread volatile enough already?! Do you want to watch the world burn, man?!
  22. My feelings on the matter exactly, couldn't have put it better myself!
  23. I could start loaning my Lexmoto to any new members who are contemplating a chinese bike
  24. Hmmm... ZZR... yeees... could doubtlessly swap the GS for a very tidy ZZR 600 without needing to do it up first. Food for thought. And I really do love the ZZR...
