  1. Merry Christmas all
  2. Oh, and PLEASE tell me that's not the same damned Tourance rear / TKC80 front that it was wearing when I sold it half a decade ago...
  3. Holy crap it's back to haunt me (but at least it isn't the Lexmoto) I do actually kinda miss that one at times. It would've been a pretty nice bike if it hadn't been in such shite condition when I got it! By the time it was all fixed up, I didn't want to see it again I'm glad it has a decent home, although more than a little pissed to hear the the interim home neglected it once again. I remember what a bast*rd it was getting the swingarm off the first time I did it, too!
  4. Honestly I hadn't thought about it any detail yet. Work is busy as hell and I mostly just idly browse the forum on my phone during poop breaks.
  5. Yeah, I can probably find a good moment to bunk off work and throw some ideas together... let me know when you wanna run with the idea
  6. Cheers all! (Not dead, woo)
  7. The fact that other people do even more risky things does not change the fact that an open flame inside a tent is a ridiculously daft risk to take
  8. Don't worry, I've got you covered
  9. I have that one too (and the green handled pans shown in the photos, oddly enough) - it's pretty stable on the whole! All I'd say is you want to ensure you lay the gas pipe out smoothly so there aren't any kinks that could cause it to tilt, and of course as with any camping stove it's only as stable as the pan you put on it. The lower center of gravity makes it a lot more stable than the kind that clip directly onto the gas canister; probably the most stable camping stove I've owned aside from the large briefcase-style ones, which are amazing unless you're trying to travel light. More a treat for car-camping than something you want to hike or bike with. The fold-out windbreak that comes with it is pretty shite but that's not the end of the world. Overall, I recommend it highly! And of course, I would in no way wish to be seen as endorsing the use of a camping stove inside the tent no matter how stable, if you go up in flames it's all on you
  10. Morning all! No snow in sight here (aside from the week old patches where the sun never shines). I wonder how long it'll be until I get my next full blown blizzard? If I were a betting man I'd say late February. Somewhere around the 20th.
  11. Very well argued and rather satisfying to watch. Thanks for sharing that!
  12. Depending on when they kick me out, I might even be able to buy it back from you
  13. Get deported, buy a bike once back in the UK, travel around a bunch and generally give up on living a sensible life. Bloody tired of things always going pear shaped, time to take a page out of my brother's book
  14. Good question! Not if they've got any common sense
  15. It'd be a noble sacrifice for sure
  16. Yeah that's pretty much the plan
  17. I've often felt that the issue is not the absence of a capital punishment, but rather a thousand and one other issues with every other aspect of the system that is already in place. Not enough rehabilitation, but also not firm enough punishment, and that's without even getting into idiotic sentencing practices and early releases. Although I do think we should introduce a system a bit like The Long Walk in Judge Dredd where after someone serves in parliament we force them to neck themselves as soon as they lose re-election. Don't think of it as capital punishment though; it's just the only safe way for a politician to retire.
  18. I had one of those for a while! Very awesome 1 man tent for travelling light, up until I got caught in a massive storm and put by arm through the side of the tent while trying to remove a wet jacket in such a confined space. Will probably buy another some day but also bring a tarp to make a little sheltered area outside it!
  19. When are we going to get an independent candidate from the "hang them all" party?
  20. Morning all! Happy New Year and all that shite. Anyone else surprised that we didn't just get hit by a meteor at midnight?
  21. Seeing as I'm now two divorces deep, I have to wonder if perhaps it's other people who are are bad at finding the right partner seeing as they keep ending up with me
  22. Blimey, digital photo frames are still a thing?!?
  23. To be fair I don't think it's unique to Texas, any state with a Stand Your Ground or Make My Day law would give you a free pass.
