  1. I'd save a few pounds and go for an Oxford lock, quite a lot of them can be used to lower insurance if declared (personally I don't as knowing me...my bike will get stolen the only day I don't use the bloody lock and my insurance would be void...) Otherwise agreeing with the rest unfortunately!
  2. Pretty safe from my experiance....damn annoying though... The only debatable part of the test is the "Swerve/avoidance", personally I think it's 100% safe....but i know most accidents for the Mod 1 happen here....But that's more-so to people either panicking or poor training than the test....don't slam on the front brake until your straight and easy-peasy!
  3. Mini cooper with a prat-driver who nearly takes me out on a mini roundabout....Had to swing the handlebars to the left as my elbow smashed into his wing-mirror Pure luck i didn't drop the bike!
  4. About the same.... No problems with the jacket...helmets....neck gear even.... It's just the trousers that bug me....probably because i'm a tad lazy at times!
  5. Hey Jarred... Sorry you didn't pass!! I don't beleive you'll get a discount going to another school to complete the C.B.T unless it's part of the same chain... But if you didn't get on with your instructor it might be worth you trying a second choice just to give you a bit more of an overview? The next guy/girl might be a more-suited teacher for you! Good luck!
  6. Regional IT Manager for a Shipping Company (Sounds fancier than it really is!) I'm with you Monkey, going out for a ride or the pc also!
  7. I must have been on the idiot-juice earlier....I didn't even consider Yamaha accessories.... Yes....yes they do! Shutting up....!
  8. Howdy All, I've just purchased a brand-new Yamaha XJ6 600cc Beauty which should be arriving in a fortnight or so and I had an idea for when it arrives...Not that I plan to be knocked off or throw the Bike on the floor, but I've decided to fit some Crash Bungs/protectors on just encase! (Figured it makes sense!) All I can find (R&G etc) are up to the 2012 version, just wondering if they are universal for the model or if I need to wait until they are built! Ta-Very-Much in advance! Carwyn
  9. Slightly jealous... I have the 2009 model and it seems the niggles still haven't been worked out. Done 3k Miles in about 10 weeks and it hasn't skipped a beat. Even when I got knocked off it happily started first time and got me 170miles to home. In for a service tomorrow, lets see the outcome... Also have the same issue with the gear box, definately going to be getting an XJ6 but i've decided to keep this bike around as a backup/get-around-town! Plus I can take it apart piece by piece to start teaching myself the proper maintenance.....win-win!
  10. I've had 2 runs up there but i'm holding back until i get something a tad bigger than a 125cc! (As much as I love the L plates..) Great run (got bloody soaked on the way there first time annoyingly...) Do you end up in the cafe?
  11. Is it cheating if I still own that first vehicle perhaps? Mine's easy to remember.....WP09 FEK (Little blue fekker!)
  12. Got 2 x Pairs from getgeared.....have a Google they are pretty good I've found!
  13. I do love these conversations. Controversial thought.... As little as 100 years ago our "morality" dictated our opinion that women were ready anywhere from the age of 10. Usually based on first-period etc....It's more-so of a "Social responsibility" that we believe the age is now 16. Personally I find this funny.... Guy: Hey, you look cute. Fancy a drink? Girl: Sorry, but I'm only 16. Perhaps we can have a shag instead? Though i must say the teacher-student rule is there for a reason, most guy's will have the school-girl dress up (With an actual adult!!) dream but you've got to learn to say no...comes with the job. The maturity aspect differs with all, i knew mature girls (Back when i was 14-15) that handled themselves better than some girls my age now! (24...)
