  1. If its a summit to a flat it might not be too bad to get a bit of air but if theres a drop on the other side, like where i mentioned, and you go 5 mph more than you should it could be a long way down the other side before you land. You have virtualy no control over anything that happens once your wheels leave the road.
  2. I use 2ct on my R6.Gotta say theyre gripy to the edge and last for ages and the hard centre compound doest leave your tyre square.Even if they are an extra £20 or so they will probably get you a few thousand mile more.
  3. Along the A68 theres a really long straight which has several blind summats. There is no way im ever planning to take off.It will end in tears or worse.Dont do it.
  4. Out of interest Craig. Are you left handed?
  5. I dont honestly believe the poll on both. Not many people are ambidextrous.Yes i can negotiate each comfortably but i do prefer lefts like the majority of right handed people.
  6. If you use a back protector or ever intend to,youll need some space. For me normally just a thermal T shirt
  7. I had a moment last week thought she was leaking oil.Turned out to be a build up of muck behind the cover on the front sprocket. After a chain clean and lube i must have eased up the crud in there. It had dripped round the filter and down to the tips of the breather tubes.
  8. use the designed hooks on the rear pegs to bungie it down. I do like the Oxford sports soft luggage.Havent used them but they look good.
  9. very usefull mate. thanx
  10. took his battery down started her up.Put a muti meter across was only showing 12-13v with no lights and taking the revs to 5000.Mine reads 14+. Now is this a alternator problem or rec/reg?How would you tell?
  11. My mates gixxer cut out the other day.Got it bumped but kept cutting out until his battery was completely flat.Ive fully charged the battery to make sure it wasnt dead,it says its strong and will hold a charge. Im assuming the charge system is similar to a car and uses an alternater which is the next thing to check but are there any other things to look for which could cause the battery not to charge? Thanx
  12. my sidi vertigo have lasted so far nearly 4 year and 20000mile including walks around croft and olivers mount yearly. No wear on the zips or velcro.Ratchet system still works fine never leaked although i dont ride in rain often.Bit of leather cleaner and feeder and they still look fairly new I have no other comparison cos i bought these when i was learning and just havent needed to replce them

    Sv650 Problems!

bummer Might sound obvious but have you checked the oil level,my mates sv used to like a sip.Hoping it hasnt run dry.
  14. first ride of 2010 woo hoo 30 mile Nice trip to the coast and back.Almost dry roads, sun out but freezing with it.
  15. Google "myp2p" first and "justinTV".(these sites do NOT have copyright material hosted/streamed on them only links)you'll find eurosport might be french or romanian or something but the bikes sound just as good on french telly Its already listed on myp2p 1am-2am 4.30am-5.30am
  16. They look realy good.Always thought a solid footpeg would snap and not fold up if you touch down also lift the back wheel off the ground.675 pegs look pretty high anyway.
  17. i use an 80gb Archos DVR with bullet cam.Doesnt like heavy jolts so you can loose the footage you are trying to capture at the time so i frequently stop and start it(push a button twice). ">
  18. Nice meeting place and roads but the 40 zones and police presence are enough to keep me away, selecting third will get you jailed . Ill shut up now cos i havent been further than round the block,0.3mile doesnt realy count as 1st ride
  19. Does a 600 need this. Theyre all much of the same.As said pick the one you like the look of neither will dissapoint. Personally i think the r6 looks the best
  20. i Bought a maximiser 360t.Different settings for car use and bike use.Wont charge at a rate above 0.6A to protect the bike battery and upto 3.6A for a car battery. Analyzes and charges accordingly.Monitors hourly and tops up when required. http://www.np-trading.co.uk/images/Paragraphs/Maximiser_360Ta.jpg
  21. if its a new battery it shouldnt need a charge. I dont like the sound of a constant output you run the risk of overcharging. A good trickle charger will analyse the battery hourly, top up only when necessary and maintain it.Can be left on for years without worry. http://www.sounddistribution.co.uk/images/maximiser.jpg
  22. Try em on and squat down as if on an imaginary crapper oops chopper
  23. I spent about 550 on the drip HG 0% Arai corsair rx7 i know its a bit snobby but id choose this sharp rated 3 star helmet over any cheapy 5 star anyday.Arai duts just look the best they have a narrow appearance looses that balling ball look of nearly every other brand.Nolan make some nice lids too. Arais arent very quiet but £1 earplugs are You pay for what you get.Removable everthing for cleaning.Different size skull caps to cheek pads for perfect fit, great ventilation both in the shell and the visor and very light. Wouldnt buy 1 sub 200 personaly. Not worth putting a price on brain damage.Give yourself the best chance should the worst happen.
  24. Not quite that easy. Not that ive had to do it but ive just been out to have alook at my 02 R6.It looks like you can get away with removing the two screws on the backing cover and possibly the large black plastic screw under the nose to remove the cover and then you can access the back of the indicator.
  25. Not be his as its an 04 As for the dude not being able to pulling away is more likley down to him being a crap rider or not trying in this weather.Amazing how many people buy a thou and cant ride the arse off a 600 its just kudos. Sounds like you had more fun than a 7/10 God help the write up of a 10/10"I left Stonner and Rossi in my dust" Show us ya chicken strips then
