  1. had to read that a couple of times.I'm thinking the previous owner kept a touch of what under the seat? Ahh a torch Tis a strange one tho. This caused white smoke out the exhaust aswell?I kind of get the power loss and dash lights if the engine is cut off
  2. Are you after this sort of thing? http://www.kneedraggers.com/image_storage/1/bd/1bdd0834d653bfabcc4e4e6a01958dfe_rough.jpg http://s7d2.scene7.com/is/image/Motosport/SB-DB-_is?wid=800
  3. if your only changing the rear i would stick with Bridgestone. Not a great idea to mix match brands, Suprising you wanting a harder compound they are already a touring tyre and you should get plenty of miles out of them.
  4. Sunglasses you will loose some peripheral vision. Tinted visor is the best option. Tinted insert like fog city. Light reactable inserts Hyper optiks.
  5. I wear both, depends on the weather and the mood. You can buy gortex waterproof leathers......ca..ching. I dont feel as protected in textiles, one off and theyre usually torn whereas leathers will last a few tumbles.

    brake fluid

Are they both the same DOT? I recently changed from 4 which is slightly brown/yellow to 5.1 witch looks clear like water.
  7. Its sometimes impossible to force the air down the lines if its at the top of the master cylinder.By holding the lever back you are keeping the valve from the master to the reservoir open allowing the air to escape. At last i actually helped some one Did mine a month ago.Ive never felt them so powerfull in all the time ive owned the bike.
  8. i only like red on Ducatis. Unless youre buying new or nearly new youll strugle finding a white one cos it was a 2009 limited edition, youll pay more for it aswell. Black all the way.
  9. you have probably still got air bubbles in the lines or the master cylinder.Bleed the lines more times remember to nip the bolt each time just before you are at full lever travel.Release the lever slowly each time.Add a touch of lever pressure just before you release the bolt again squeeze quite quick and keep repeating remembering to keep the reservoir topped up or youll be doing it again. If you cant get the air out the master cylinder on the last stroke nip the bolt and tie the lever against the bar grip and leave over night hopefully the air will escape through the reservoir as it rises.
  10. Riding a year and buy a hyperbike!......kudos Looks like the other guy lives on the track he's tooling. I wouldnt push it there either m8.Too much to loose crashing on the ring.Looks a great day out tho.
  11. Cheapest option being textiles.Leathers are better abrasive resistant so if funds can allow. Usually the first thing to hit the ground will be your hands so decent gloves are recomended save you picking grit out your palms for weeks.Ive been hit by a lofted stone off a friends tyre gave me a nasty bruise through my leathers so if one hits your finger you will know about it. Boots with a good ankle support. If the bike falls on you hopefully they will stop you twisting and breaking your ankle or in my mates case when another biker swiped him he would have had serious problems had he been wearing anything but good boots. Try to get the best you can afford.Hein Gericke used to offer interest free over the year and their own brand is pretty good. Only requirement for every rider from a 50cc to a 2.3cc being a helmet which i think is nuts.

    New swing arm

Try ringing Armstrongs at the bottom of the hill 0191 2614579 or Hunters.I dont think they do it but they might point you in the right direction.
  13. hacksaw across the top or the bolt to create a groove to use a screwdriver
  14. I shouldnt laugh cos crashing isnt funny, couldnt help myself with the face plant think his boot was spun round sideways
  15. HG sat nav holder for car navs £15.Either handlebar mount or zip to tank bags in the range. HG catalogue page 236

    rev limiter

the power curve starts to drop when you go into the red.Peak hp is just before the red line. Red line in the busas case starts between 9500-10000rpm.Screaming to the limiter at over 12000rpm produces less power than at 9500.There is no point ever to go into the red. http://www.road-quest.com/images/Forum/b-king-dyno.jpg

    electric trouble

    electric trouble

Does a horn have to be electrical? Im not taking the pee here but can a mechanical or battery powered horn be fitted and just disconnect the electric one for your mot then take it off again.Doesnt cure the problem but may pass an mot http://www.sjscycles.com/xxlimages/15534buddy_xxl.jpg http://i.ebayimg.com/05/!BbnIEIg!Wk~$(KGrHqQOKiwEq40HlNwTBKw1vOlCK!~~_1.JPG?set_id=8800005007
  20. This is just a real stab in the dark but the fuel fillter under the tank could be dirty and the heat from the standing engine could be evaporating the fuel in the lines(im no mechanic but had a similar problem with a car)
  21. Now that looks nice defo more my scene. The road conditions look superb I dont think ive seen so much even tarmac. Its pot hole alley here.
  22. Looks fun the Ring. You certainly werent taking any chances tho I wouldnt want to bin my bike there either http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j177/J4FF/ring1.jpg Now thats cornering http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j177/J4FF/ring2.jpg
  23. Definitley a good thing getting leathers.I wouldnt want to come off at 20 nevermind 60-70's. I use HG's own brand leather pants with textile jacket, appear to be well made nice thick leather. On power ranger days i use a 1 piece Arlen Ness suit and thats well made too. Also look to get a decent lid, gloves and boots unless you already have them. On the plus side if you upgrade your bike youve got the gear aswell.
  24. Nice views. That road has no corners I feel a square tyre coming on.
  25. Lots on the market.Id personaly get one that doesnt come into contact with the bike similar to this. http://images02.olx.com/ui/1/11/32/8070932_1.jpg http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/woeimages/Storage/8661.jpg
