  1. A bit of marmite to add to the options is tyre seal, or goop. Pop it in your tyre and forget and the first thing you will know of a puncture is when you get off the bike and see a line of goop up the undertail of your bike
  2. thanks pal, suppose ill just deal with it until i get a new machine then, not the end of the world
  3. I would give yourself a tad more room buddy so you can fit layers underneath because jn the winter when its cold its dam cold, pop along to a shop and try some on for ideas
  4. If they are leaking that bad you dont want to risk any getting on your discs. Age doesnt matter, its dirt that gets trapped in the seal from the road ect, being anal with your forks is the only way to help prevent this by wiping them over. Or getting fork seal guards but even they are only half ecfective.
  5. Go on youtube and search for delboys garage, he has a comprehensive step by step on the brake service. As long as your meticulous and arnt inclined to cut corners its a job for anyone. Right tools are essential. Just remember these are what stops you
  6. Well the next rainy day i may pull the panel and make sure all is free but thats the extent of what i can do, we have a simular prob with the machine at work we use for overalls, i had it apart, lubricated ect but no joy
  7. Cringe!!!! Hope you dont need your fingers Bike on center stand or paddock stand and clean then rotate then repeat, does a proper job gets all the grime and crud from inbetween the links rather than brushing over the rollers. To lube thechain theres nothing wrong with starting it up and letting first gear do the rest as your not touching it
  8. Long shot i know but is anyone handy with washing machines? I have a bosche wf2260 and it washes on all cycles, drains the water but doesnt move onto spin cycle, we have to manually turn the dial to spin and then it works. I dont mind getting my hands dirty and pulling it apart if i know where to look and what to replace. Any help would be apreciated as its doing my head in now
  9. Buy some degreaser, spray on and leave for 20 mins then spray again and clean with brush. Parafin is ok in small doses but you domt want it getting on everything
  10. I have found this one before, it doesnt actually download in pdf you can only view it on their website, im after a pdf format so i can download it on my phone and laptop reguardless of reception or wifi, thanks though pal
  11. Does anyone have a link to the GSXR 750 k6 (2006) service manual. I have hunted the web with my limited computer know how but cant come up with anything. I had one for my last bike but this one seems tougher to find
  12. Weekly, checked mine this morning before i left for a ride
  13. As said above, also want to add and might sound harsh but..... Lets say you modify the bike and gain the extra power you desire what makes you think you can ride it? Handle it? You have only gained a certificate that you wont kill yourself on a small bike, you havnt had any type of advanced training about cornering, positioning, braking. May sound trivial but another 25cc is quite a step up. Your not licenced for a larger bike nor insured and its people that do these things and 'get caught' which is a possibility that put out insurance up as a whole which is a joke at best as it is. And if you are unlucky enough to have an accident with lets say a cyclist and maime him for life you wont have insurance for him to claim against to help towards the fact he now cant work, walk and needs to modify his house. This may sound extra and over the top but ill be honest im getting tired of these questions about getting more power from a 125cc. When j and many alike have paid the dosh got the licence, pay the insurance and do it properly. Do a das of your of age if not then wait!
  14. £16 for a coat isn't bad dam predictive text lol
  15. Are you getting up to said speed and holding at that speed while changing up? Or are you accelerating then into 2nd and carrying on accelerating? If your pulling hard up to 40 then holding the speed and changing to 2nd then this is your prob. 1st to 2nd is far smoother while accelerating so short shifting 1st and pulling the reat of the way in second will make it smoother. Also bare in mind because first to second is two movements it needs to be a very fluid movement, its a lot less forgiving than all other gear changes, your clutch disengagement and engage needs to be seemless. How are your cush drives? You say chain, oil ect is all good but worn cush drives will cause a lot of feedback
  16. I bought some new stuff at the weekend. Muck off chain cleaner. Works a treat, spray some on all round the chain, leave for a couple mins then go back to it, spray some on the brush of your choice and brush away applying to wither chain or brush as you see fit, comes up spotless. Once all done then lubricate, and for this i got some wd40 chain lube. Ok not the cheapest of stuff but the chain lube is anti fling and seems to be great at lubing and not attracting grub, and the cleaner looks like i will be able to clean my chain another 5 or 6 times, so yes its £12 but works out about £2 a time which i can live with
  17. Ill be interested to see results
  18. Moto gp style, easy to clean, but i prefer to hide my dirt and grime
  19. Speechless! Thats cracking
  20. Personally i would say no to hikin boots, you have some good alternatives there so go with the one you like the look of, try them on and see whats comfy. Walking boots dont offer a great deal of protection and also the feel of the pegs and pedals.
  21. Gorgeous!!
  22. Ncs make the spy, all their series are essentially the same alarms
  23. Well i went to the 60th birthday celebration for mcn in skegness today and how glad am i that i didnt go in with a couple of mates and spend a couple hundred quid on accomodation for the weekend at the show. Apart from a group rideout lead by carl foggerty to cadwell and a couple of laps yeaterday (which i couldnt do because i went today) the weekend was naff. The evening entertainment was good aparantly but the event its self was shocking. Around 8 trade stands of tat with gear in sizes people domt wear. Terry grant, steve colley and mattie the stunt rider which was good but 20 min shows repeated throughout the day. 2 bike stalls with bikes you see every day. And some sand racing that was cancelled because the sand was too soft and that was it. I paid £4 for one coffee! Coat £16 to get in and it was cold. I basically paid and travelled to was the world superbikes on the screen in the bar (that i was recording anyway) Shocking to say the least, i expected more from MCN Lets hope the mcn show in peterborough (previously bmf) will be better next month, or will they kill that off too All in all wish i went mallory for the TMBF meet or Scarboroughfor the fold cup (think that was this weekend)
  24. Have a good day people i for some reason had itin my head this was next weekend but no its today, im off to the mcn show to meet some mates so im out of this im afraid. Ill make it to another though to meet you all
  25. only if you know its been pinched, is it the spy you have? If so i wouod check your range as the advertised 5000m is very unrealistic. 2/3 of a mile average range.
