  1. Listen to manufacturer reccomendations. The side wall will list max pressure. The manufacturer will have taken into account type of bike weight of bike, average weight of rider ect.
  2. Beautiful condition
  3. There should be marks on the swingarm so you can see if the wheel is aligned. And double check with tape measure. Good job pal. Rivets look good too, I think 6 or 7mm rings a bell, if they are about that measurement they are plenty big enough
  4. You shouldn't need to remove caliper to do pads, remove one pad at a time preise pistons back with a screwdriver carefully
  5. Start to finish including theory and both tests, 3 days training £670 I paid last year. Without cbt mind you. Over a grand is a bit much imo
  6. How did you get on
  7. Think I'll be grabbing one soon then. Although it's first job is to catch proof of the flame thrower of my car so it will be strapped to the boot, I'll upload whether it's fire retardant too lol
  8. So all in all still a great choice for an inner city dispatch rider after all these years, that's pretty much what they were used for. I used to know a dispatch rider who worked in London and he had the old diversion (years ago) and pretty much most his colleagues had them too
  9. Relax and remember what your instructor has said. Plenty of checks, take it easy and on the indipendant ride be alert
  10. Disc cutter quick and easy. Like said though, crack off front sprocket nut before you disconnect, you can hold rear wheel while you crack it off, don't be tempted to put bike in gear and do it that way. Damage can be caused
  11. Mobius? When I get in I'm going to read the whole post I just read the first page and didn't realise there was 26 pages lol. So has the origional one you posted about turned out ok. I'll more than likely mount on helmet for convenience yes this camera i pretty good for the money. My only problem was that i wanted it to start recording as soon as the bike switched on, which required me to take it apart an monkey about with the electronics. This is the comparison photo showing the SportsDV alongside the Mobius. The Mobius is not waterproof - it needs a case to make it waterproof, so for all weather helmet cam action, the SportDV might be the way to go - although im not totally convinced the SportDV is watertight as it looks like it will leak around the buttons and lights. Ahh got you, well I would just have mine switched on as and when so the dv might be a good option. As for water tight I think I may be able to get around that although I would only be using it on rides out so chances of it seeing rain hopefully are slim, I doubt anyone would want to see my trip to work. The mobius looks tidy too. I should be getting one soon, I just can't justify a gopro for my use and doubt I'll start vlogging
  12. My favorite camera at the moment is the Mobius camera. Mobius? When I get in I'm going to read the whole post I just read the first page and didn't realise there was 26 pages lol. So has the origional one you posted about turned out ok. I'll more than likely mount on helmet for convenience
  13. I saw this a couple months back and thought about it but my impulse eBay purchases usually end up being no good so I'm glad you posted this. Think I'll have to invest
  14. I fitted a did set on my gixer and can't complain. It's standing up well.
  15. Any garage or machine shop should be able to do it for you for a few quid. Woukdnt take long.
  16. Oops tango beat me to it lol
  17. By the looks of it that rear sprocket is nakard, and if the front has been on same time it would be worse than that as the front takes all the brunt. 20k is good for a set but I say your due for a new one.
  18. Might seem random question but is it the right chain for the sprockets? Did you get it as a set or match yourself
  19. To the van driver that nearly caused me to highside this morning. Going right at a roundabout he overshoots the whiteline stops then...... Moves off and stops again, wtf, meanwhile I'm leant over knock off my speed see he stops continue then panic as he goes again, bike stands up violently and leans over other way so I end up hopping on my left leg to keep bike upright. All happened so fast, but no harm was done as bike stayed on the rubber and I made it to work
  20. Yh tango mentioned this last week about possible squires. I would be up for that
  21. Laces arnt reccomended as they can get caught on pedals ect. And as long as your bike don't run hot and warm up your shoe as steel heats up. Not preferred tbh but like said better than trainers
  22. Keep up the good work and take it at your own pace
  23. Just remembered it was called a time sert thread repair. More expensive than helicoil but much more beefy
  24. The threads were cream crackered by the last person, who obviously thought he would leave it to be my problem. Well update time Got the sump off and down to local bike shop where they said a helicoil woukdnt be up to the job because of the type of sump plug pos, so they used something simular, forgot the name but it's a solid threaded collar and the tool cuts a thread and seat for it to lock into, no chance of the thing coming out and not it's not Ali it's stronger than origionally. No cracks in the sump luckily. And they only charged 25 quid which I thought was more than reasonable. Had to drill out one manifold bolt and retap and the other after some drilling came out with an easy out. Bikes all back up and running now just got to get it home, looks like I'll be pushbiking to work soon to bring bike back
  25. I would say yes, do it. Not done it personally but after some thought, it makes sense. Don't use engine flush just use as already said a cheap oil but make sure it'd the correct grade and api rating or you could see some clutch slip for a bit.
