  1. Not me, got to work unfortunately.
  2. I got down there and was a reasonable turn out.
  3. Well, I'm back up and running faster than expected! Might pop down.
  4. Not me either now Blowout / flat / puncture and nobody with the time to look at it today.
  5. Anyone going down tomorrow night?
  6. Been a long time for me too! Never really been to any ride outs but might start soon, seems like there's few active clubs locally.. Or their just hard to find.. Think SMCC used to meet up every Tuesday but not sure if that's still a thing.
  7. I'll be in Reading... weather is great today to, finally used the bike to get to work!
  8. I might actually get out this year!
  9. And still I'm yet to make an appearance.... If I'm back from working in London at a reasonable hour I'll come down but knowing the customer its not very likely.

    CBR exhaust question

I haven't, but I think any attempt I would make at cutting the old exhaust off would be untidy! Plus that option would only work if I was positive of the outcome! Ill keep it in mind though, maybe I'll get another stock can and cut that pipe off!

    CBR exhaust question

This is what I have, it looks like it might actually be for this model? It looks like it's a Micron as there's kind of an outline of a sticker on it. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg140/red-jinx/th_IMG_20120404_191424.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg140/red-jinx/th_IMG_20120404_191551.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg140/red-jinx/th_IMG_20120404_191611.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg140/red-jinx/th_IMG_20120404_191958.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg140/red-jinx/th_IMG_20120404_192017.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg140/red-jinx/th_IMG_20120404_192035.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg140/red-jinx/th_IMG_20120404_192650.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg140/red-jinx/th_IMG_20120404_192801.jpg Re: £160 for a new one yes I understand this but if this one will go on simply with the right link pipe then it will be like half of that
  13. Evening all, I do hope everyone is well. I have been offered a Carbon can for a good price to replace my current stock can. My bike is an 02 CBR F sport and I believe the exhaust I've been offered is off of a 98 CBR. The mounting bracket looks to be in a similar place, do you guys think it will fit? I'm not sure how I'll go about getting a link pipe, any suggestions please? Thanks!
  14. My bike will be out this week hopefully.... first time this year... usually it'd have been out by now but one of it's lights is out due to a loose connection so I need to fix that first.
  15. Yeah you too Neil.. been a bit crap on here since the birth of my daughter Still have my Bandit.. Just had 2 new Avons fitted so it's feeling good
  16. What time do you guys usually get over there?
  17. Have you been out yet??
  18. Yep snaps back and closes fully. I was a bit sceptical about re-attaching the cables but it seems to be good. Yeah tonight before 10pm .. probably 5pm i'll be trying that with the idle screw!
  19. Thanks Pete, yes I believe it's all routed as was. The throttle lever I mean is on the carburettor, the bit the cables are connected in to to pull/release.
  20. I'm open to all suggestions The choke was fully closed and the cable is correctly adjusted, I made sure there was no pull on the choke mechanism or the throttle lever (I did notice the choke cable is a bit frayed, but that's a job for another day, greased it up to reduce the wear)
  21. Morning all, Well I am on a mission to make my Bandit 6 a bit happier. I've just swapped my carburettors for a spare set as my original set had a broken idle screw and also one of the vacuum nipples had been snapped off by a previous owner and they'd just welded over the hole to fix it meaning the carburettors could not be balanced correctly. My new carburettors have a working idle screw and all nipples are in place. Now i've not had much time to investigate this yet but when I fired up my bike for the first time last night (10pm) it was sitting at about 6000 RPM! I swiftly cut the engine as my bike is far to noisy to be running in my garage at high revs at that time of night. Anyway; I think the idle screw was fully adjusted to the slowest setting before I fired it up. I was also expecting to have to balance the carburettors to get it running smoothly. My question is, why would it have been running that high and what else can I adjust to bring the RPM down to a sensible level? The idle screw is currently fully adjusted clockwise, so it can be turned anti-clockwise (which would appear to tighten it up) Any suggestions / ideas? I'll be having a look when I get in from work. Thanks! Matt
