    No drive...

ok so got a er-5 for the wife when she passes her test next year.... it starts and runs fine, but as soon as you release the clutch in first gear the engine stalls have tried moving the rear wheel on its own to see if anything like the brakes were binding but all seem to run smoothly also trying to engage second is almost impossible is there either something wrong with the gearbox or something with the clutch? Thanks
  4. Hi guys and girls. We have these two intercom devices on our helmets which seem to work fine with intercom Both are meant to support music sharing but the manual is vague in that is the bluetooth ipod meant to be paired to both helmets or just one. You can play the music from the ipod to one helmet but then not share it. Has anyone managed to get this to work?

Has any ever seen a longer chain guard than standard or even one that curves around the rear sprocket for a bandit 1250?
  7. What an engine reving at 55000rpm Have you stuck a jet engine on joeman?
  8. MMmmm hard to tell, I would edge on the side of its probably too loud. Been to alot of events at brands and dont even think the bsb were that loud You could always get a 'cheap' meter from ebay or this one at £20 http://stage-gear.co.uk/sl2000-sound-level-meter-st85-a-8217-a-8217-weighting.html?utm_source=google_shopping&gclid=CjwKEAjw4-SrBRDP483GvreDr2ASJAD5sCIuPeZ4R-zihqGiqRzTyhW9viSpanb4HOYPEpnpMy2VLhoCMrTw_wcB At least it would give you a ball park figure and save the money paying for the trackday
  9. Noise limit is 102dB static and 92dB on a drive by Some days are increased to 105dB but depends on organiser Some dates for the future http://www.brandshatch.co.uk/trackdays/bike-calendar.aspx?circuit=bh&trackDay=trk&trackTime=all&submit.x=42&submit.y=12 Did seem pretty loud but looks like your in a confined space too which doesnt help.
  10. got a set of these very comfy and a lot quieter! http://www.ultimateear.com/motorcyclist.php
  11. my hjc is-17 is has great airflow all around. so much so i had to wear a balaclava this winter plus they are fairly cheap and have a 5star sharp rating
  12. The website description... • Richa motorcycle winter gloves with Gore-Tex • Visordown Verdict: The warmest winter gloves • Absolutely waterproof: Test verdict 10/10 • The right balance between bulk (warmth) & comfort • Knuckle armour, Superfabric (?! ) & Gore-Tex liner £99.99! (£100 then...! Hate the .99 thing haha) i have these, can confirm they are fine for my rides to work at 2am and -4c
  13. always see them out and about, they seem to love this https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.4803692,0.176371,204m/data=!3m1!1e3 Be aware of the road markings as a friend got failed for crossing through the filter lane as you come off of the roundabout towards the mini roundabout on a206. normally carry on down the 206

    Chain Lube?

Has anyone suffered from surface rust on the outside of the links? Was cleaning mine this morning and noticed some
  15. I had a set of these made http://www.ultimateear.com/products/soundear-motorbike.php Not cheap but had the added bonus of being able to attach them to anything with a normal earphone socket. They can do them without the speakers for less i believe

    Chain Lube?

Ok, dont want to start a war! Just was thinking about a better lube for my bandit as the wd40 chainwax I currently use just seems to flake off now we have the cooler weather. Will be riding in all weathers so need something robust for the rain, and the 70 miles+ a day I do.
  18. I can only find a really blured copy of a wiring diagram http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm161/jfergus_photos/WiringDiagram2.jpg So its hard to see which is which, but your best of checking with a multimeter
  19. you will need to find either the ignition feed or the sidelight feed. Some bikes have the sidelights come on with the ignition and some don't. It just depends if you want them on all the time when riding or only on with the lights on. Just a thought you can only have white at the front, red at the rear and yellow on the sides of a vehicle as part of the The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 section 2
  20. Sorry guys, looks like I wont be making today after all
  21. It was my camera finally letting go. I remember somewhere in the manual something about leaving it at least 3 hours for the glue to stick. Nevermind at least I remembered to use the teather!

    EXUP help :(

Cant see pics phil But from the vid, it looks like someone has already tried drilling the heads off. Can you separate the exhaust pipe to then give you access on a bench. As an ex aircraft fitter, when other people rounded out the fasteners it was always easier to drill down the centre of the bolt with a smaller drill bit then use a easiout. if you catch the threads in the exhaust you will need to use a helicoil
