  1. Problem sorted. Fired her up when I got home from work and she purred like a kitten until she warmed up. Then, same problem. Turns out she was overheating. The oil was black and had the viscosity of water. I changed the oil and took her out for a spin. She ran a bit lumpy to start but soon settled down and I was out for nearly an hour with no sign of the problem. I've only had the bike for a month and was told it had been serviced shortly before I bought it. I guess the service didn't include an oil change. I plan to change the oil again in the near future because I didn't change the filter tonight but, for now, I have my bike back. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

    Carb problem?

My 1992 XV750 will run OK with the petrol tap turned off, but as soon as I turn the fuel on it dies. Anyone have a suggestion what might be causing this? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  3. The Corsa driver who drove up the dual carriageway in the right hand lane then, when the road split into three lanes for a roundabout, crossed two lanes to turn left without looking or signalling. Thank you for testing my brakes and those of the other road users you nearly killed you complete F**kwit
  4. If you put it in there you'll get it burned

  6. That was going to be my advice. I took my divvy 900 out the other day and this exact thing happened. Sat there cursing the bike for a few minutes then realised I'd left the choke on. Sat there cursing myself for a few minutes, switched the choke to off and carried on my ride [emoji16]
  7. Very nice. Many miles of fun to come.
  8. "I'm sorry Mickey." said the Judge. "I can't give you a divorce just because Minnie has large front teeth, after all she is a mouse". "I didn't say she had big teeth," Mickey replied. " I said she was f***ing Goofy"
  9. I've been in a couple of bands many years ago. I played rock on a strat back then. I only play rhythm though, don't want to make it cry or sing. My ex wife has most of my guitars in her attic all I have with me is the Eko Ranger . No room for the other five where I'm living at the mo. I still play some (acoustic) rock as well as country and other stuff. But I only play for my own amusement these days.

  11. Massive well done. Now you need to get out and get some more experience. And remember, smile, you're supposed to be enjoying this.
  12. I bet he gets all the bitches
  13. His mates could have helped, rotten B***ards. After a suitable amount of p*ss taking of course.
  14. I had a KZ as my second big bike. It was the best bike Ive ever had but unfortunately it died and cost too much for me to bring back to life. Sold it to an old guy who had retired and wanted a project. He promised to return it to it's former glory. I still love classic jap bikes and now own a 1982 Yamaha TR1.

    Chain Lube?

I have a totally enclosed chain that runs in lithium grease. Chain lube is not a thing I buy
  16. The arsewipe in the black merc who decided to change lanes right in front of me on the way home tonight. Wet road, back end locked up and only just managed to hold it. Even other drivers were giving him the w**ker sign.
  17. If that had hit him in the chest he'd have no chance. It would probably have burst straight through his rib cage and lodged in a lung.
  18. I've been a first aider for 12 years and I would recommend anyone who can to do a course like this.

  20. I would suggest a manual 125 until you gain a bit of throttle control and gear changing practice.
  21. I've nothing against not using lights in daylight hours (although I always do), but no lights in thick fog tailgating a car with no lights???
  22. Congrats on the mod1. The wording for emergency stops is I think, Bring the vehicle to a controlled stop as quickly as is safely possible. As you kept control of the bike it was a judgement call by the examiner and he obviously judged you safe.
  23. If you're doing your mod2 then I assume you've been riding a while. Forget you're being tested and just enjoy the ride. You know what to do so just do it. (Sounds like a good slogan for a sportswear company )
  24. Going to work this morning in heavy fog passed a light grey car with no lights on doing 60. Bad enough you might think but riding about three feet behind his back bumper was a motorbike, also with no lights on.
