I imagine it's quite a straight forward job. Watch a few videos on youtube to get a varied demonstration on how to do it, and if you think you can do the same then go for it.

I actually quite liked the film. Sure it was a typical adaptation for the big screen, and Zooey Deschanel seems to be limited to acting the same character in every movie she's in, but I didn't think it was bad.

How in the name of sanity can it possibly be a series ? There is an unimaginable amount of material to use, most of it occurring before the actual LOTR movies took place. There are a number of separate era's where significant events took place, including how Sauron came about etc. The reception to game of thrones, as well as the recent success of 18 rated hero movies like Deadpool and Logan have told the industry that adults are still very much into the fantasy genre, so long as it brings it all down to earth with the fact that even hero characters aren't safe from sudden death. I'll watch it I think. I came into game of thrones very late and watched 6 seasons back to back just ahead of the 7th. I prefer the later seasons, and along with them proving you don't need rampant nudity to hold your fan base, I think that makes a LOTR show a possible hit.

I've had a few CBR600F's but yours is the one with the RR derived engine I think so will have more in common with that. In that case I paid around £120 for a oil and filter change for my RR, and it came with a stamp in the book. An independent should be around that or less I would think. The RR had a smaller sump so it costs you less in oil. If you service it yourself get a haynes manual, torque wrench, basic tool kit and the materials are easy to find online for servicing. You'll save a lot of money over time and generally watching highly rated youtube videos will keep you on the straight and narrow.

I've noticed a big shift in which cars seem to be favoured by better drivers. It used to be German sales exec cars tailgating and causing an issue. Recently I've found cars like Vauxhall insignia's, while they look unsuspecting have a large group of idiots driving them, at least in my area. You still get problems with surprisingly young guys in very powerful new Mercedes undertaking you given even an inch of space, but I'm having better luck these days with BMW's and Audi's. Which is just as well as I became an Audi driver recently. Generally I cruise at a "middle of the pack" speed. That way I haven't got anyone flying up behind me, and the coppers will be more concerned with the ones trying to set a new record down the M6.

Think we ran late and missed you guys if you were here. We are heading cat and fiddle direction Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can do and I'll let you lead that one as I'm not familiar with the Welsh roads closest to us. I usually pass them and head right out to Menai. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's either there or poplar services on junction 20 of the m6. That's a good place to link up. Will let you guys choose. I'm easy to spot on the blackbird. As for routes where are we thinking? I don't have all day unfortunately but I'm thinking I could lead a trip to the cat and fiddle the fun way there. And then run back into warrington afterwards. But if you have other ideas including who wants to lead I'm easy like Sunday morning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm 15 mins from warrington town centre. Where would you meet there? I'd probably suggest the riverside retail park near the harvester Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm near warrington, where are you guys? (phone doesn't show me member stats) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For the most part busy with work. I took the lead on a series of projects for Sainsbury's here in the U.K. They wanted 3MW of power and the ability to run off grid with setups that meant I had to develop 2 new control systems from the ground up. It's been good to have a team and bring a new design to fruition but it's been stressful. On the plus side I've been accepted by the IET to become chartered so it will all help. Also done a lot of restoration on my blackbird and it's running a dream now so I'm making time for some rideouts Hope you're well fella. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm probably going to head out this weekend. The usual meet up point I use is poplar services at junction 20 of the m6 near Lymm. So far it would be me, Ricky, and my wife on her 125. We have an easy going system, basically go to a fun stretch of road and agree to meet up at the end of it which seems to be fine for small groups. If anyone is interested I'll check back in tomorrow and sort out a time that works for people and go from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wonder if children who can't speak can see ghosts

As big a mystery as it seems. My favourite spirit "Tequila" is very capable of making it seem not to matter [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I like that idea. When I was a kid someone told me the universe was infinite, and I replied that's great as dragons will exist somewhere. They thought it was empty whereas I figured if it physically could be imagined and work then it must exist somewhere in an infinite universe. So it actually makes sense if that was the case all universes are in one place. Just we can't observe them. I can't remember how many but in so many billion years the expansion of the universe will hit a point where the Big Bang is no longer detectable unless you had prior knowledge. So who knows what we've missed or yet to see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Mr Fro. Could you link it? I read one that implied we are in fact a projection of something that happened a long time ago or to some effect. But I've not seen anything that says in a multi-verse that they can interact with each other other than black/white holes. I'd haunt Disney land. The haunted mansion... No one would suspect it! How long could I go before they realised an extra attraction was there and always doing something different every day. Maybe that's what ghosts do... There's no flash photography allowed in there. Loads of possible reasons. Simplest being one or both of them is lying. Or they wanted a few minutes of fame. In 2016, people seem willing to snap a pic of a dying sea animal dragged out of the ocean for selfies but not a ghost. That's why I'm dubious to say the least Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I do like that hypothesis. A simulated reality would raise monster questions to answer. But it's a philosophical suggestion that is used a lot as a thought experiment. That's why I haven't gone further with it. My own rationalisation is based in the multi-verse theory. The universes are stacked so close together that a similar event in another is projected to the other albeit weakly. This would explain why ghosts are most often seen at night as they'd be a low energy event, and have little or no interaction. It would be why we see dead family members in our homes as in another universe they are still with us there. Only issue is there's currently no physical way the manifestation can occur. And why it would be limited to small life forms and not say a different version or location of the moon. Thought provoking stuff though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

At rant: I didn't say it was right, only probable. Which means I'm admitting a better theory could wipe it out or even be better. There are varying degrees of right and wrong. Propose a new theory or back up a current one and I'll listen to it. Joeman. You are right, but ghosts float generally. So they seem not to be bound by gravity unless they produce energy. But I still can't get over no camera or other detection device ever producing clear evidence. It becomes a bit of a chase for Bigfoot. Also it's not 30%. It's 95/96% unaccounted for due to dark matter and dark energy. We know it's there as we measure the interactions it has. But science has now found light is actually quite a rare thing in the universe. Scary really Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

The op asked if anyone had freaky experiences with their kids. People who don't have kids also contributed and some who questioned ghosts existence also did so. I am being casual and friendly in my explanations. I didn't call anyone crazy or even wrong. I believe them when they say they did see something. I want to give the probable reason of why they saw it from a scientific perspective however. I do this in person in the same good spirit I do so here. The world thrives on diverse views. I once believed in ghosts but I listened to the scientific community and took it with a pinch of salt. As I grew more confident, I've never seen or heard anything remotely abnormal again, even in the presence of others who did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Every civilisation has the one thing in common. A brain. It tricks you daily. Filling in details for you like colour and interpretations. Our brains are very prone to little malfunctions. I've seen tiny amounts of a drug make the silly sod doing it believe ninjas were jumping between bushes to come and steal from them. They woke up genuinely believing it had happened. Also ghosts are inconsistent. People have seen dead relatives, monsters, demons, gods, Angels etc. No two are alike and the popular theory on this is because no two brains are perfectly alike. They can malfunction in similar ways but not perfectly identical ways. Look at it scientifically. Does a ghost have mass? No? Then how is it bound to the earth? The earth despite not feeling it is barrelling through space at 67,000mph. Like neutrinos they'd pass through the earth and carry on. If they have mass and can be observed by a human they are detectable yet never have been. So the conclusion is they don't exist and it's much more likely a weakness of a brain capable of imagination. I wonder if belief in them is partly down to a fear of death. Pretty much everyone would like there to be something afterwards and ghosts which is also why pretty much every civilisation has had their own version of religion and afterlife. If you ever listen to prof Brian Cox on ghosts that's how I am on the topic. Flat out says they don't and can't exist. No physical condition to suggest they ever could exist, no event in which they've ever been detected and measured has ever happened despite viral video maker claims. I've explored deserted mental asylums for photography at night with a guy who does believe in them and he swears he sees things and I'm sure he's genuine and thinks he does. I personally think he's scared and his brain is thinking of survival and plays a trick to make you leave the danger area. Kids have fiercely strong imaginations and their developing brains will make them more susceptible to seeing things. As a tiny tot I was scared of the monsters in the dark and my room would often turn into things like desolate woods or I'd see a wolf sat on the end of my bed clear as day. The one thing in common with all ghost sightings is it was something with a brain capable of tricking itself that saw it. So don't panic. There's nothing out there. I keep trying to pick up flaws it may have but this in theory is actually very sound! Mazda should take note as I'd rather like another RX8 style car on the market

We've all done this at some time or another I think, but you handled it well and stopped so lesson learned Many have put the bike down or gone into the back so you showed you had the skill to handle it. Now you have the experience to avoid it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's quite likely if it follows the same pattern. Just make sure it's not anything else, as I had a real nightmare years ago. My dad is bald and is one of the only boys to go bald. I thought the same was happening to me when I was around 18 and nothing would stop it, all the promised shampoos etc did sod all. However bits would come back, and other parts would then fall out very fast, which wasn't normal. I eventually saw a doctor thinking I had some foreign disease, who then instead told me I was very depressed. Turns out it's a little more complicated than feeling sad. And I was 9.5 stone at 6ft 2 which I was told wasn't right either It improved as my health bounced back. But I reckon I'm not out of the woods, and 30 will be the magic number my hair decides to pack up and leave. I'd bet I'm a dad by then so I likely won't give a hoot

Did anyone else find the 2nd episode much much better? I was actually impressed by it. It had a challenge with actual cars rather than home made ambulances or whatever. And then the challenges were interesting to boot as well! Matt Leblanc is fast improving as a presenter too. I reckon he's watching his performance and comparing it to the more useful online critique. Out in the field he does a great job as he tackles the challenge at hand and doesn't feel the need to fill it with silly lines like Evans sometimes does. The UK vs America thing should really take a bow though. I really don't care for it, but it might be to appeal to the American audiences as this will broadcast on BBC America. I do get the feeling they love a competition over the pond whereas Brits are happy to insult one another and call it a day.
