  1. Nice one shorty, cheers for the update, i decided to go for aa cover as most of the decent kits i found were £25 quid anyway and the aa cover worked out at £50ish for personal cover that covers the bike and the car. Looks like if i get a puncture out and about i'll be hanging around for a while. Nice to know the stop and go kit works though, can i ask where you got yours from?
  2. I really like the second design, matt black is a bit plain for me.
  3. Looking good, hopefully that will be the end of it for you. Did you find it difficult to fit it?
  4. It's sad to see the news, however i agree with people, no ones forcing them to ride in the TT they know the risks. If none of us were willing to take risks we wouldn't be on bikes in the first place.

    R6 throttle

It should fit, but you may need to modify inside the throttle housing to get it to fit perfectly with no rubbing. I know people who fit them to gsxr's with no issues. Any particular reason you want to change?
  6. Its the land of the genuine fakes! The pride themselves on fake stuff. They do indeed, some of it is actually decent quality, did a tour around a leather factory where they did some really nice knock off jackets, still cost a bomb though! Back on to other holiday recommendations, I've been Lucky enough to have been to New York, Thailand and Barcelona in the last 2 years, all of which I'd recommend but not so much if you just want a cheap sunny get away.
  7. Turkeys good, I stayed near Olu Deniz, got a good deal as when i booked the hotel wasn't finished, they only finished it about 3 weeks before i went out. However good restaurants out and about, nice beach and good excursions. I'd recommend it but wouldn't be in a hurry to go back. Just be prepared for the touts with their knock off gear!
  8. Not too sure about cleaning off the stuff that's leaked, but with the reservoir, isnt there a reservoir seal?? possible that could of gone and therefore you need to replace and leak will hopefully be resolved.
  9. My brother in law is a sound engineer and he used a company called mercury hearing, not cheap but he swears their the best he's ever tried. www.mercuryhearing.com I'm looking at getting some but need to wait for a month when ive got a bit of spare cash.
  10. Charge/Change the battery then you'll be golden Had a similar thing happen to my K1, rode into work fine, think i might have accidentally left the parking lights on all day (i never realised there were parking lights) Came to start and nothing, got a new battery and everything was rosy again!
  11. Sounds fine, tiny bit louder than mine, but i havent sat and done what you did in the vid, so im hearing it through my helmet. Doesnt sound excessive to me Like others have said, dont fanny about with it give it a good hoik
  12. Cant view the video at work, so will have a watch tonight when i get in and see if its similar to mine.
  13. When you say 1st? Which are you on now? Marriage makes no sense to me in some regards. So many people pretend it changes nothing, then when these people break up many become bitter and angry proving otherwise. Similar to this, people make plans for life prior to marriage, then something changes and they don't feel they need to after. It's an age old joke, a man will become fat and secluded to his chair in front of the TV even if he was fit and active before! For something that is just a piece of paper, it seems to do something to people Marriage does change things, whether or not it changes things for everyone probably not, my current gf and i live together, we split all bills 50/50 for the house, we share a car and i have the bike for commuting and anything that doesn't involve going to B&Q to pick up diy bits. e both have the same surname already (we checked our family history and no were not inbred, just a common surname) So when we get married it wont change much, if anything at all. My only experience is that it makes it more difficult to not have any involvement with an ex as you have to get them to sign the divorce etc, which in my case meant talking to her numerous times to get her to send the damn thing back to the court
  14. Nice one, can be difficult coming out of a marriage, i was married for 6 years and my ex decided to cheat on me, i found out. Went for a drink with a girl about 4/5 months after I'd split from the ex and we've been together for nearly 3 years and are engaged. I was only looking for a bit of fun
  15. I see this as you have a few options: 1) Walk away from him and stop meeting up with him. 2) Lay him out, normally shuts people up. 3) Talk to him and ask him why he feels the need to tell everyone he has a full licence, normally its because of someones own insecurity that they have to mention it at every opportunity. 4) Make a joke of it, so if you know hes going to say something about it jump in beforehand and with a sarcastic tone "Yeah im only a learner though, old billy big bollocks over here has a full licence" or next time he mentions it "Sorry have you got a full licence? you should have mentioned it i didnt realise " Do you get on with him other than this constant commenting? I take it you do so it could be worth just having a quiet word.
  16. Nothing wrong with a Honda Jazz You'll never get in an accident as when you put your foot down you have to wait 5 minutes for the power to be delivered, by that time the gap is gone and you give up trying. My first car was a Rover Metro, no 17 yr old would be seen dead in it, cost me about £600 tpft, although i was ashamed of it and treated it like the shit heap it was, it got me my first years NCB and reduced the insurance on my next car which was an xr2i fiesta (boy racers dream)!
  17. Come to Bournemouth, lots of coffin dodgers with more money then sense round here. This is a fairly regular occurrence round here. Brand new Bentley continental GT holding up traffic by doing 30 in a 40
  18. My first helmet was an AGV the equivalent of what the K3 is now i think, i was impressed with the fit and quality, did me very well for 3 years on a daily 50 mile round trip to work and back.
  19. What sort of budget are you looking at? I've heard good things about Box helmets but never owned one myself Can be had for around £50 here http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... e_0/max_20 I personally like AGV and Nolan helmets, i currently have a Nolan N86 which is comfy and not too noisy, but a little more pricey. I got mine in the sale for £120.
  20. I didnt realise you could just get personal cover with no age restriction. All signed up no need to worry now, cheers all
  21. I knew someone was going to suggest this, however the AA and RAC want to charge me an extortionate amount of money as my bike is over 10 years old. I'm not going to wait an hour for Mr AA man to come and fix my tyre if i can do it myself in ten minutes.
  22. Cheers for the replies. Think i'll pick up the smaller one of the above kits and a few co2 cartridges. When i got my puncture i was only 2 minutes from home so even if i had to push it it wouldn't have been that bad, next time i might be a bit further away. Just want something i can stick under the seat and that will at least get me home.
  23. Hi all, after recently getting a puncture i thought it might be a worthwhile investment to keep on the bike, as i might be further away from home next time. So just wondering, have you got one? which one? and have you had to use it? Any recommendations are welcome as there seems to be a few different types. Cheers
  24. This is exactly what i did!! They now call me stumpy
  25. It is annoying without a stand, however you can clean a section at a time, roll it forward do the next section etc. I know they cost a bit but an abba stand works brilliantly much more stable than a normal paddock stand and easier to use on your own
