  1. I may be up for this, Although the diary is working today so ill check with her to see if anythings happening. Nice 3 hour ride to get there could be good, or i could get lost which is the more likely of the two options.
  2. Looks like an awesome trip. A Europe trip is only my list within the next 5 years.
  3. A Pandora charm, and as shes working a nice Steak dinner when she gets in from work.
  4. Nice, you'll have some great rides out on that
  5. I saw his book in a shop just before christmas and was very tempted, must get round to picking it up. Ive just finished the book, was a very good read, He certainly hs led an interesting life. But then im quite a big Guy fan!
  6. Excellent thread, very informative, learnt a few things reading this from the start. That tank looks awesome!! keep up the good work
  7. When I was 60kg at that height it was more astounding! I'd say I wasn't doing bad whacking on 10kg per year! I could eat more than anyone who challenged (including a few hefty mates) so I just assume I have an absolutely raging matabolism. My bmi is 15% though, a few gym mates I used to train with were around the 90kg mark, but their bmi was nearer 25% and they were on creatine which I avoid as my kidneys dislike it and they carried a lot more water weight. You'd assume they could do more but then my 42" chest was benching more than their 46-48" chests could. My aim is the mid 90s, with a slightly lower bmi... No more as at that point you're built like captain America. I can bench 120kg as it is though so christ knows what you have to do to get to 90kg. I can squat clear over 100kg but it's my most hated exercise as I don't like loading my back. Sounds like your doing well Fozzie, although BMI isnt the best way to assess your body, most rugby players are morbidly obese by the BMI scale, asses your current body situation on body fat percentage and youll get a more accurate idea of where you are. 20% is average for blokes, 15% is athletic and 10% or under is look at my six pack i never knew it was there range. The simple mechanics of either losing weight or putting it on is all about calories in vs calories out, For someone hitting the gym a bit and lifting heavy weights then you need to hit about 4-5k calories a day which is no mean feat. People underestimate how much they need to eat to pack on weight especially if trying to gain muscle, and strength and weight are not directly linked, theres a guy who comes in the gym who weighs about 10 stone 8% body fat hes qwuite short about 5'6, ripped as hell, and he can leg press about 300 kg (has a dodgy back which is why he doesnt do squats, he can also bench about 150 kgs for ten reps, still looks like he'll blow over with a strong wind. He has one of the best power to weight ratios ive ever seen. Proper respect to him
  8. Ultimately it depends on your end goal like others have said. There is some very good advice out there, im a Level 3 Personal Trainer so if you want any advice then pm me and id be happy to help. Theres so many variants to change and not just weight and reps, theres also rest between sets and also tempo of the exercise (how long you take to either lift the weight or lower the weight), these are but a few examples, which will change depending on what your end goal is. One thing i will say which will never change is MAKE SURE YOU GET THE FORM RIGHT!! So many people think lifting a heavy weight is more important but you will only injure yourself if you go too heavy and dont lift properly. Let me know if you need any help.
  9. Yeah its weekly every Tuesday night, details: www.poolebikenight.net If your up this way for the Poole bike night give me a shout, i live in Bournemouth and plan to go quite a bit this year.
  10. Yeah go for it, Just because you have the A2 doesnt mean you have to jump to a big bike either. Im not sure how all these new licenses work if you do your A2 will you then have to do DAS at a later date or are you just restricted for a certain amount of time? I had a 125 for 6 months on the road after doing my CBT then did my DAS when i was 22 (going back a bit) jumped straight on a 600 sports bike and i was fine mate of mine jumped straight on a blade and never looked back, you only ever go as fast as you let yourself. Do it!
  11. Nice one good luck with Mod 2!! and well done for controlling the slide.
  12. Congrats, new bike on the way to celebrate surely!!
  13. If you know what size you need Sportsbikeshop have got a load of the alpinestars andes stuff on sale at the moment. http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... tar+jacket Its worth shopping about a bit as the shop assistant may seem really helpful but they are trying to make a commission. I dont have any affiliation with this company just had amazing service from them and they also offer 365 day returns which are free, best company i've ever ordered from online. (i dont have many bike clothing shops near me)
  14. Def Japanese, welcome and good luck with your cbt. What sort of budget are you looking at for a bike?
  15. Talk to yourself in your helmet, and keep telling yourself you can do it which you obviously can. Do something that normally relaxes you before you get on the bike (if i know im heading to a nervous situation i stick my earphones in for 5 - 10 minutes which helps calm me down and take my mind off what it is.) And break it down into sections, and only concentrate on the section your on, I never had to do the mod 1 or mod 2 thing so cant talk about my personal experience but when i did my das i really struggled with the u-turn, when it came to my test i just kept saying to myself, you can do this DONT put your foot down head up look where i want to go. Over and over to myself in the helmet and it worked. Good luck you'll nail it next time
  16. I know its not exactly what your doing but something similar...ish. Same basic principle, not sure of any laws but might help with the design. A bike is only slighter longer than a full set of clubs including a driver! http://2x2cycles.com/product/motorcycle ... g-carrier/ Good luck with your design, we'll see you on dragons den soon
  17. I have to agree with wr6133, they seem expensive which puts me off, Im sure if you have a discount code and can purchase in store then they will be fine!! Just compare whatever your looking at with Sportsbikeshop although i dont live close to one of the sportsbikeshop stores they offer an excellent return policy and whenver ive dealt with their customer service they have been top notch and also seem to be very well priced compared to other companies.
  18. I got divorced last year and there are 4 reasons for a divorce but only 2 for immediate divorce, Adultery - Quickest and easiest, normally done and dusted in anywhere between 3-6 months. Unreasonable Behavior - This can be dragged out as whichever party is stating the other is behaving unreasonably has to state anything and everything which then could be disputed by the courts. Irreconcilable differences can only be used where the couple have been separated for more than 2 years. This is just a nice way of saying we've given up and don't want to be together anymore All the above have to be agreed by both parties. The only other reason is that the couple have been seperated for 5 years or more and this doesn't have to be agreed by both parties, but evidence needs to be presented to state they haven't been together for that long (hope that makes sense) My ex-wife left me for another bloke but she filed for divorce and cited and did it on the grounds of adultery as i had met someone else 6 months after we separated, after i spoke to a solicitor they advised me that this would be the quickest way to get things done and as we didn't have any financial assetts to split then it wouldn't really matter what it went down as, just depended if i wanted the paperwork to show the truth (by this time i just wanted to be divorced) You can sign a form to say that you will sort access to the children seperate from the divorce. It all boils down to personal circumstances, best thing to do is speak to a solicitor and see where he stands, most solicitors will give half an hour or an hour free. Good luck with everything. If you need any more help in regards to my own experience then PM me.
  19. Nice achievement! here's to another 8 years
  20. Haven't got one yet, but know what i want!! probabaly be next year now. I want a half sleeve on my upper left arm/shoulder Going to get some lily's (my other halfs favourite flower) quite large probabaly 4 flowers in total, on each of the flowers im going to get my kids (3from previous relationship) initials and dob finely written. On the inside of my arm im going to have the lyrics to eric claptons - tears in heaven (this was the song my mum requested at her funeral. Just been putting it off as i need to buy a motorbike first!!
  21. A lot of people dont realise this and it does become harder as we age, im a fully trained personal trainer which i do on the side of my day job. The amount of people who think "i can go to the gym 5 times a week and still eat whatever i like" You cant out train a bad diet. Yes exercise helps as it burns calories that you wouldnt normally burn but you cant replace these burnt calories with crappy foods. Simple stuff really more calories in than out = weight gain more calories out than in = weight loss Can i ask what your normal eating habits are on a daily basis?
  22. Dont do it!! Only odd people who need to feel "at one" with their bike match their clothing.

Good luck Ste, My Mrs is a paramedic and sees the effects of hard drug use and family who have given up trying to help all too often! She might not like you when you try and help her but she will thank you in the long run. Chin up and keep caring, you sound like a top bloke.
