  1. old post I know. regarding checking on mpg. the correct way to be accurate is to fill the tank up and ride how you normally would. once you've hit a hundred miles or so fill up. say yo did 124 miles . filled up using 2 gallon. (9 ltr) 124 divide that by 9 = 13.77 x 4.5 = 61 mpg . thats how I do it. do this a few times then you will know what on average you'll get to a full tank. those bars are way out. my 1st tracer 700 I was averaging 70mpg riding two up. bought a tracer 900 didn't like that so sold over a year later . bought another tracer 700 last year and still running it in. I'm getting about 66 mpg again riding two up. this my current bike matt blue
  2. did the scottish highland trip with a bunch of deaf guys last year from dunbarton through to john o'groats just over a 1,000 miles. went again with my wife but got as far as fort williams and ended up in hospital for 4 nights ,so never got to finish the trip. just had the same symptoms about a month ago again in hospital to cut a story short .had a pace maker fitted. planning on doing the trip again next year with the wife. heres some pics of last years trip on a tracer 700. this year on a tracer 900.
  3. I know I dont come on here these days but air ambulance do a great job and need your support. thanks in advance. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/259892?fbclid=IwAR26yuT_T0c0NcSnnrtP_65g_izG4_9jqLb1UAWqa4_cRFOkh7lSi9e2GLc
  4. what about the kill switch! just turn that on and see if they try to start it. years ago I traced the kill switch wire's inside the bike and cut it in two and soldered each end to a rocker switch. unless they know where the rocker switch is they'll never start the bike up. had one of my bikes pinched back in the early 90's only to be left in some one drive a few houses down the road from me. they butchered the wires to get it started but could not.
  5. selling my abba stand ,I've only use it about 4 or 5 times on my old ER6F(ER fitment kit inc). put away and not seen light of day till now. the rubber grip for some reason split at the top other wise very good nick. £60 pick up only -- stockton on tees.
  6. they all say water proof but so far I have yet to find one that truly is. shower proof yes but. my current one(leather/carbon) clearly isn't ,when I bought it stated 100% waterproof..bollocks. so what gloves have you kind chaps have found to be water proof. currently looking at water proof over mitts etc but rathey buy a proper glove that is.
  7. dont recall getting this on any of my other bikes that I've had. my last was an NC 700 x now a tracer 700. the NC I used to get numb bum after 50 miles but the tracer I can go 70/80 miles before I start to feel it. this the only bike since 2003 that I've not altered the seat nor am I going to. its one or the other.lol
  8. I get a cramp in my right shoulder just above the blade. some time it hurt like buggery,it seems as if a knife is digging in.. been told try loosening the grip tried that ,does not work. throttle grip side .my left shoulder is fine. anyone has this when riding and if so what did you do??
  9. trying them on ,thats the problem . the ones I like are on ebay. as stated in my 1st post whats available here are not what I like. anyway thanks.
  10. when buying boots do you go one size up? boots locally aren't to my taste to much plastic or just plain costing to much for what I'm willing to pay. I have to have a boot that has a zip that goes all the way down due to me having a high instep foot. I don't suffer with pains or anything just got big feet etc. the boots I'm currently wearing are size 11 but USA , EU size is 46 (which as far as I know is size 12 uk) I've got a pair of shoes that are size 12 but a little on the large size. with sizes all over the place???
  11. I've thought about buying one of them but 95mm isn't deep enough. need something a little bigger like this one but not at that price... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Autokicker-Valour-X-Midi-Tail-Pack-Seat-Bag-for-Motorcycles-Motorbikes-/172238193949?hash=item281a32451d:g:930AAOSwvg9XXH7W
  12. are these any good. somehow I've got that doubt as to whether these are or not seeing that they're made of plastic and a piece of wire through the middle? http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/42QAAOSwY0lXTW6d/s-l500.jpg
  13. maybe the cheap £16 are crap,I paid £42 for mine can't fault it. had it attached to a scooter riding all over Lanzarote .picture quality was excellent. very clear. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Original-Genuine-SJCAM-SJ4000-DV-1080P-12MP-IP68-Waterproof-Sport-Camera-DVR-/172165323373?hash=item2815da5a6d:g:K~AAAOSwSzdXDOGj
  14. just tell him that you will contact HMR and that you paid cash. if this doesn't put the shit up him then inform the HMR they will go through his account like a dose of salt. and any discrepancy in his account then he's in big trouble believe me. he'll most likely not declared the money off you and how many others hes not declared. if can't prove all his income the taxman will guesstimate and they come up with a high no he has no choice but to pay. if he contest it he'll end up paying more..
  15. I've bought a SJCAM 400 ,used on hols brilliant pictures or vids. cheap to ,you get a load of mounts half of which I haven't what they're for ..probably for push bikes? I paid £40 for mine but heres a much cheaper...look the same etc. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SJ4000-Waterproof-Sports-Cam-DV-Action-Full-1080P-Video-DVR-Camera-Black-12MP/231905474524?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D38661%26meid%3Dc4b064b64be248d5b9e17d8d1d535579%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D162149726645

  19. to be truthful I dont give a f*ck if the gov etc is watching me.I've got nothing to hide . I generally see this stop tracking on facebook. I'm on there to keep in touch with some of my deaf friends and every now and then this pops up. anyway thanks
  20. what all this turn off tracking now!! google, gov are tracking your every search. is this so or is it just a load of bull? I did have it on for a few days but it seem to block some of my search. when I was searching a particular bike image all I got was half a page. but on google image I got a full page and more.
  21. A network of Watchman cameras and vehicle actuated boards have been introduced throughout the Borough to encourage road users to drive more slowly thereby helping the Council to lower the number of collisions occurring Photo of a watchman speed camera Safety Cameras (Watchman) Photo of a watchman speed camera These boards remind road users, that are travelling over the speed limit with a message asking them to "Slow Down". The boards also record vehicles speeds that enable traffic engineers to build up speed profiles of the roads covered. This enables the Council to identify speed hotspots and take the necessary action. no they dont catch you speeding and you receive a nip. these are all over here in teesside. I think its a good thing and it does work as it make the drivers more aware of the traveling speeds.
