  1. I can't imagine the examinor saying "yeah good job, pleased to say you've passed.......hold on..........lemme borrow that bike.........oh sorry mate i couldn't get it above 95, you fail" But yeah, i'd hire one
  2. Brings a new meaning to "not tonight love i've got a headache" doesn't it.
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Derbi-GPR50-GPR-50-Engine-Assembly_W0QQitemZ160165125274QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 Thought about just replacing the engine? Is the starter motor throwing the actual piston over? take the spark plug out, put your thumb over the hole, and turn it over. If you feel pressure building up and pushing your thumb off, then it's just not spinning it over fast enough, so try charging the battery.
  4. Rear sproket is usually exposed but if it's not, it'll be behind a very obvious looking chain guard, which should just unscrew off (i don't mean any of this in a patronising way btw, just realised it sounds it a little) Front sproket is often behind a more substantial looking metal cover, which again just unscrews or bolts off.
  5. Good lad At events like that, we outnumber the beggers! I think a mass-effort is the key ... You can't identify 500 bike-boot bottoms can you Just like the old days, you see a bloke come in to town with "SIDI" embedded in his forehead, you know to lock the garage![/b]
  6. pretty sure USB is 9V. I guess you could go to radio shack or simular and find a transformer. Get i wrong and you could bugger the GPS/phone or w/e. And what's the standard 20V battery? 6, 12, or 24 surely?
  7. Not an expert, but popping on deceleration could be back fire? I don't think exhausts can cause this though. Please do NOT get worried, i could well be very very wrong.
  8. webcam and old laptop in a tankbag.. has worked fine for me for years GALLONS of recording space.. decentish resolution (if you dont buy a £7 webcam...) and pretty good battery life to boot. plus.. adding more cameras is an "easy to do" task But, if you come off you've buggered a few hundred quids worth of laptop. The police use a simular method though, obviously they've got speed stamps and stuff aswell.
  9. dragolith is your cam designed to fit in a helmet? Or is it just a digital camera you've modded to do it?

    hyosung??

Every review i've ever read of the GT250, which is a few, basicly says Pros: Looks good Cons: Made of crap. i'd rather drive an ugly motorbike that's rock solid, up to you though. As mentioned depreciation will be HUGE.

    chain lose?

Was it snail cams in the end? Took me a while the other day to get both sides back equal. I take it you've checked to ol' wheel alinement?

    chain lose?

Maybe they're obselete now, but it might be snail cams. Again, loosen the wheel nut, and knock the cam round to draw the spindle back. http://www.basicbikes.com/images/SnailCam.jpg
  15. Just read this article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/beds/bucks/herts/3693479.stm Wondered what you all thought, but i don't wanna start another speed limits and leathers fight, so play nice.
  16. Are you talking about the helmet? Never EVER EVER accept a second hand helmet, free or otherwise. You just never known.
  17. How much faith do you have in baggage handlers and couriers not to drop your lid? Even once? I'm sure they'd wrap it up in bubble wrap and stuff but i don't think i'd trust it atall. And worse you'd never know. I'd always buy a helmet in person.
  18. Maybe, if the stand didn't look so beaten up and rusty i would suspect so. But when the stand is such a likely candidate i'm not gna scare myself with front fork nightmares. I'll give it a clean up and see what i can see, try and hunt a new one down on ebay
  19. Basicly Helmet-As much as you can afford, on a decent make, arai, shoei, AGV, shark ect. Definately not a £50 wonder. NOT second hand either All other gear-The best you can afford after a helmet, minimum of a decent textile jacket (£100 odd), boots(£80 odd), gloves (£30 odd)
  20. When i got my bike, it would sit with it's front wheel about an inch or so off the ground, on its centre stand. Now the bike sits on both wheels while on the centre stand. I've been very careful not to sit on the bike with the stand down, so as not to bend it, is it possible that some stops from the hinge of the stand have gone allowing it to sit further forward than normal? Or do i need a new stand?
  21. Mods if you're watching, make a bad jokes section, and put this in it.
  22. How serious are you being?
  23. Then it may be the carbs idle jet needs a tweek to work better at low temperatures, aswell as high ones. I'm afraid i have no idea how to do this, well, i could do it, doing it right, so it works is another matter.
  24. Why oh why did you tell them you do wheelies on it?!??!!!
