Had a fantastic day out a week last Friday with a Royal Enfield dealer in Saint Helens, we all met up at 8:00AM for breakfast, there where 40 Bullets, I had all ready ridden from Bangor North Wales on mine, left at 6:00AM got to Saint Helens in time for breakfast, had the provided breakfast and the 40 Bullets of all types set off for RAF Cosford, Telford, had a great ride down, refreshments provided on arrival, then a short tour of the museum before we had the lovely provided lunch, after lunch a longer tour of the remainder of the museum, more refreshments at 4:00PM before we set off on the ride back, I was following in a group who I thought was going the right way but his satnav must have been dodgy, to cut it short I got left behind at a stupid Tee Junction when my visor steamed up ( have to get a pinlock ), no sign of anybody again, no idea which way they went, ( very bad leaving someone behind but I new the way ), just to be sure I got my phone out and ran my satnav app, eventually after about 20 miles I turned a corner and there was one of the riders checking people past, I carried on and got back to the dealers, I thought I would be last but no, after about 10 minutes the one with the dodgy satnav and his group turned up every body back safe and sound for evening tea and cakes before setting off home, I got to the McD's on the A55 and the heavens opened and the Gale was horrendous, it was that bad I could not be bothered stopping to put on the waterproofs, I just kept going, the gale was so bad I was struggling to do 55, anyway I got home with just soaked legs my Jacket was more waterproof than I first thought, I did not care a jot about being wet, I had one of the best times ever with my clothes on, I did 340 Miles on the Bullet that day

Just had a ride out to Betws Y Coed North Wales met a couple of lads from Liverpool one on a BMW 1100RT and one on Honda, coming back along A5 back to Bangor, I noticed a couple headlights behind and it was the 2 Liverpool Lads, when we pulled in at the petrol station the one with the beemer came and said that thing can shift, meaning my Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet Electra EFI was quick around the bends on the Ogwen pass, on bends it is pretty good, have scraped the foot rests both side more than once, only when you have to over take do you take a couple of hours planning the overtake.

Good bike, a copy of the Kawasaki ER6N with a bit of KTM thrown in, KTM part owns the factory and some KTM bikes are built there.

I am currently pootling about on the wife's Zontes Monster whilst my ER5 is in for repair. It is a little 125 that is easily as well built as a YB100 from the 1980s. It has a conventional one down 4 up box, does 118mpg and can happily chug along at 60, eventually. For what she paid for it, it is amazing, it was a year old and she paid a pittance for it. A Japanese bike can easily be made in China these days, look at all the YBRs on the road! People moaning about Chinese quality make me laugh, Ipods, Ipads, Iphones, all made in China, as are quite a few brands of mobile phones, nobody moans about those. There is a 4 year old Zontes Monster for sale in the village we live in, the guy is obviously an immigrant from Lalaland though, it has 12 months MOT, has a hole in the exhaust, been on it's side (bent brake and scratched exhaust heat shield), he wants £700 for it! They are not much more than that new! The new version of the 650TR the 650TR-G has Bosch Electronics and Continental ABS, it also has Electric Windscreen, Bigger Fairing, lower seat, foot pegs further forward and handlebars further back an ideal position for touring, it also has a gear indicator

They have arrived, they were in Essex yesterday, no problems at all with the bikes, they are Bl**dy good bikes and a lot of bike for £3559.00 Only the German Continental tyres let them down.

Not yet, I suppose they will get in touch again when they get through the Tunnel, not heard from them tonight, ( I have been out to the club meet ), they were having the back Tyres replaced today, so they could be a little delayed. They are going to ACE Café first on a bike night, calling at the importers of the 650TR, I think it will be sometime next week, they are hoping to stay at the Ponderosa Llangollen.

Oi Tom! Look, it IS possible... When are we setting off? If Steph Jeavons can ride around the world on a Honda CRF 250L anything is possible.

Tonight they are on the boat between Norway and Sweden, should be in UK in a couple of days, only one problem so far, the German Continental tyres fitted as standard, are not up to the job, they have had to fit Pirelli tyres I am awaiting pictures, he has sent them to my phone but I cannot download them for some reason, I only see the thumbnails.

Hi Fred, heard about Prince666 and the lads, they are in St. Petersburg, if not already entered Finland, they said they were spending 3 Days there so should be in Finland tomorrow. They are hoping to stay at the Ponderosa, I am hoping to meet them at the Raven on the A41 and ride with them to Ponderosa. I think we may have another 2 x 650 TR riders, my local dealer has sold another 2.

Mine is near the CFMOTO service mileage but know where near WK service schedule I assume you know how to clear it. WOT Switch On FI lights, let go throttle wait 6 sec. Switch Off Switch back on as normal.

The squeal on mine appears to be the fuel pump, as of yet I do not know if it is normal or a fault, until I can hear another one. 1600 Miles now and the FI has just started flashing 15 Flashes at start-up, this indicates it is due for service but it has already had services in accordance with the strict WK service regime ( Which by the way does not match the manufacturers services ), WK services are at the wrong intervals and in my opinion seriously wrong and could themselves cause problems for the bike, it not being services according to the book. Otherwise no problems.

What about the one where he's wearing a cod piece You might need something like that if it had been on a seat and probably pressed against the tank for 9000k+

These bike have now covered some 9000k+ on this trip, without a problem except for the Continental Tyres wearing a little strangely, which I am told is due to all the straight line riding, they are looking forward to all the twisting roads of Europe.

They have reached Moscow Last Night, see Pictures some of the bikes in Red Sq., St. Petersburg tonight, spending 3 days there then in to Finland

Moral do not speed in Russia
