    New tyre time

Ive got the bridgestone battlax - i want to say bt021 but not sure. It has been fantastic in all conditions and I have easily covered 6000 miles on varied roads and weathers and it is now only starting to wear a bit quicker - maybe another 1.5k left in it, fingers crossed! They are also not really showing signs of squaring off too much, even after a non stop 400mile motorway munch on tuesday. I also understand the sticky feeling - it took the paint of my workshop floor....
  3. Albeit I have only ridden a brand new rr and my older fs - apart from the riding position you will not notice a power difference in general fast road riding. Dragolith has a standard f - and he is more than happy with his, I just prefer the looks of the fs
  4. Im in - but can someone remind me nearer the time, all over the place at the moment
  5. August is a busy month for me - but might be able to do it with enough notice, definately not the 1st though. Also will depend if i survive my 1000mile trip next weekend
  6. Nice to meet you mate - was a good day, and didn't get wet!
  7. wimp - dont want to get your hair wet?
  8. satnav yes - but its still in the box! Lead? NEVER I get lost at booths and Dave you are senile
  9. Matt will come to yours for 11 - might try and get satnav wired up
  10. Andrew says yes (but not if its pissing it down!)
  11. Got back from Blackpool this morning - man i feel ruff. Broken toe, covered in paintball welts - one very big one on my forehead, burnt leg from go kart exhaust and no money from lap dance club..... Whens the next ride?
  12. Jim - sorry bud seems like I am always doing this but I am bailing too. Stag do in Blackpool sat night and I dont think I will be safe on sunday
  13. 9.30 seems ok, see if anyone else is coming - simon has a bit of a treck to get to devils if he comes I remember doing something very similar - into a right too hot, back brake, front brake, grass, oh sh!t, sh!t, sh!t road, keep going. Breath and learn!
  14. Sounds good - but I dont want to do the grass verge detour..... Meet at devils? Anytime after 9am
  15. Sounds like a great run - but cant tomorow or the 27th. 5th sounds ok though Should have my satnav by then too....
  16. With a 2 pack paint there is a posibility of solvent seperation - but you would be very unlucky for this to happen. However the correct plastic primer will prevent the solvents reaching the original 'skin' of the lid. A primer is not just a key for paint it is also the first barrier protection. Rattle cans like they sell in halfrauds are a cellulose based precatalysed paint that dont seperate once applied.
  17. Well just ordered a tomtom rider - and it comes with a basic scala so I am happy for now. Sent the Garmin back as it was a rubbish!
  18. Sorry I am going to go against the grain here - painting a lid is fine as long as it is done properly. If you were to careful 'scruff' the original finish (NOT REMOVE THE PAINT) then use a decent plastic primer, lightly mist coat a colour and then clearcoat - the original palstic/fibreglass would not actually be touched by the new paint. And I have a lot of experience in painting before anyone starts BUT personally I would not do it.
  19. Going on a longish trip away and need a bit more room than my trusty Kriega r25 rucksack can muster. Tried a tankbag but didn't like it and couldn't see the satnav - so tailpack it is! It only needs to hold a pair of trainers and walking boots - so being chuffed with my Kriega I was instantly drawn to their tailpack- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %26otn%3D2 But has anybody else got one to consider?
  20. And it is what Dan recomended too - scala q2 it is!
  21. My local car parts store manager and good friend rang me today and said they were getting the new Garmin's in and did I want the last one of the old 500's. I wasn't too sure but when he offered it to me for £250 with a carkit and 12month warranty - I got it he is dropping it off on sunday! Anyway now I need a bluetooth earpiece thing - any recomendations? I normally wear the in-ear spongy earplugs and so was wondering if there was anything I could get and still use the earplugs?
  22. matt will text you in the morning, feel like shit at the moment
  23. Not too bothered about the rain but if its pissing down I aint going! Also im working on monday now and really want to go drag racing
  24. As nice as you are, I am sorry but I am married.... Would be good to 'pop' in but Its £5 to get in and £35 to run
