  1. bugger, and im looking a bit porky - mustbe all the layers
  2. Decidied to do the double at cadwell But probably wont get another track day in before unless a miracle happens or I sack a job off... Anyways trying to get myself sorted with bits to take and so I am ready for future days - so far I have - Had the bike checked over and given the thumbs up, brakes recently rebuilt, suspension overhauled last year and ordered all new filters and oil for a home service. Putting new standard sprockets and chain on as they are a bit worn and nearly adjusted to the max. Getting new tyres (battlax bt016) as thats the only tyre I have ever used and love it! Got a couple of 5 litre jerry cans but is it worth getting a big one? Also just got a nice shiney halfords profesional tool kit for van duty So now the extras! Going to get another set of paddock stands just for this bike - but would it be worth getting a headstock stand instead of a standard front for this to aid maintenance? Spare parts - trying to find some second hand levers and pedals, anything else worth considering? Eventually..... If I get enough time on the track then over winter we will be getting track plastics and another set of wheels for slicks/wets!
  3. Right after checking the diaries I have decided to do the double and will probably book the novice just to be on the safe side! Only done a few track days and now its a new track and new bike so best play it safe Have to wait till payday though as a little skint at the moment, but trying to convince a mate to come who will probably go in the inters
  4. I like the way I have managed to escape being captured in the photos Was a nice day only let down by the damp weather - cheers Simon, and I didnt get too carried away either...
  5. camping?!?!?!?!?!?!!? might sleep in the van then Really gay question - are there any showers?
  6. will have to check my schedule (away at the moment) but this sounds like a plan - will have to look into staying over somweher though...
  7. Yep was nice to put some faces to names! Was a little wet though
  8. You can happily fit a new can without changing anything else with no problems, you might even get the odd pop and bang However you can go to a 'stage 1' tune which is basically a new exhaust, sports air filters, high capacity spark plugs and leads and a tune up (carb setting on older bikes or new carbs and probably a power commander on newer bikes)

    Which silencer?

Out of the 'stubbies' I have had - they always sound a little deeper and a little louder, not by masses and no real performance change. ALthough they do look a lot better
  10. Never had this problem as all my screens have bolted on! If they are proper metal rivets then you will have to drill them out - but they are dirt cheap to replace. They might be plastic rivets as used in some fairings, in which case you try and push the centre pin out or in (depends on the fitting!) and then carefully pull the main body of the rivet out. Its a fiddly job and I always end up breaking a few of the plastic ones when replacing panels
  11. Take the downpipes off - should only be 9 bolts! Last time I did a filter change it was to very hand tight, but then I have the grip of a bear Remember to put some oil in your new filter and some on the seal...
  12. Just remember to count how many clicks you turn it - and turn it back by the same ammount after. It can really change the handling having it set hard when your on your own. Or just dont take fat chicks
  13. I suppose I will wait with Simon in the layby then as I am passing on the way What time is that then?....
  14. My summer gloves were about £150 and my winters were knocking on the door of £200... Buy the best and buy it once
  15. Yep tomtom and ram, and other bits and bobs! http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l54/blakeatron/th_ranger-satnav002.jpg http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l54/blakeatron/th_ranger-satnav001.jpg
  16. Sounds alright - but I am not good at planning that far ahead! Put me down for a maybe
  17. Mine was wired directly to the battery - no probs
  18. I believe Jade Mongoose (matt) has just got the 'old' colour scheme and looks great in his pics, personally not sure on that new scheme
  19. I love the kriega range - pricey but worth it, and there tank bags double as tail packs with changing some straps and things. But for just those 2 items could you not just get a small rucksack or stick it in your pocket? I use a kriega r25 rucksack and have the 'kube' accesory, its a small waterproof cube that straps to the front of the rucksack and is just big enough for my camera and wallet.
  20. Probably shouldnt say but there is a definate undercurrent of flirting going on...
  21. Yep I should be fine to come, Simon dont mind sharing - take it that means your booking our room (oo-er!)
