    Dating....

Mmm my point Soll was more that I was doing a hobby I enjoyed and stumbled across someone great.. As others have said; join clubs/ a gym, get into sports, go on more ride outs.. God it's going to sound seriously cliche but try and enjoy yourself, enjoy your life and get out and have fun.. That's when you'll likely stumble across someone well suited for you! I was asking about where Igloo is based because we've started up our Airsoft season and are looking for new sites to try out, so if nothing else would be cool to meet more members, in a non-biking environment. We may then stumble across another female airsofter that takes a shine to his heroic acts in the field! I guess my point is, however rambling, is that yes I was a female in a male dominated game. But I wasn't there to look for a partner, I was there to enjoy the days. The girls who go just to "Scout out the talent" don't last long and I can see similar happening if Igloo joins a female dominated passtime, just to meet the ladies. They'll realise and not be impressed that your not taking a hobby they love seriously, he won't be happy in a hobby he might not even like in the first place.. etc etc. If a lady sees you really enjoying a hobby, that's far more likely to spark the initial attraction than anything else as well as giving you common ground to start conversations on! *Shrugs* Sorry for the mass post!

Jeez what a thread! If nothing else, Igloo, where abouts are you based? I starting going to an airsoft site in Warrick a few years ago, kept having a laugh and a joke with one of the marshals there. Got invited work for the site part time, which gave me more time to hang out there and meet people. In just under two weeks, that marshal and I are celebrating 4 years together! Don't write off Airsoft, you just might be going to the wrong sites Depending on where you're based, would be cool to meet new airsofting buddies, specially as you're a biker too..
  4. You should set up some threads in the ride outs section, if you're due to head out! We've recently started a good run of south-midlands rides Would be nice to see more ride out threads and stupid pictures after..!
  5. Awesome Cat! Would be great to see you x
  6. Woo! Well done Tony!

    Speedo trouble.

For some awful reason I was expecting a different issue altogether: NSFW-
  8. You've only had it a few months, give it a bit longer and see what starts falling off or breaking before you go telling people they aren't so bad Do I not get points for it being Hungarian but built in China? It's a one cylinder, 10hp bike. The only electrics are the lights...what can go wrong? Yes... Minus points.. And Minus bank balance once it starts to go tits up! Sorry Kat- Yes you'll need to take a new theory test as they ask more motorcycle specific questions. However you won't need to apply for a provisional, your current car one will cover that Correct with no bike riding till CBT is done (Some licences let you on a 50cc but think yours is too new). As said above, once you're through the CBT you can have a 125cc.. I would recommend looking into intensive courses that'll have your CBT and full Licence (Mod 1 and 2) in about a week, with training in and around those. It's a great way to get you into biking, means you can get a taste for several engine sizes and you're then free to get which ever bike feels comfy to you, from a cruiser 125 to an upright 600 As you've been driving for a few years, you may get quickly bored of the 125 and feel like an ER500 is better suited for you.
  9. Hullo Folks! So in the spirit of getting us all together at meets I thought I would post about the Double Trouble Rally. I will be heading over to it as a good forum friend is going as a birthday celebration! As the title states, it's on the weekend of the 21st May and is hosted at: Court Farm Country Park Wolvershill Road Banwell Weston-Super-Mare BS29 6DL The Facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/events/521713461320084/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The Website is: http://www.doubletroublerally.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Would be lovely to see people there and if anyone is travelling past / near Brackley / Banbury etc feel free to tag along with me
  10. Specially if you put this one in June (We could do a smaller meet in May) Then the weather should be getting warmer so we can all enjoy a beer in the evening on the coast! Little mini Rally
  11. You're telling me Hoggs! This was my route to you guys yesterday Sounds good to me Fro! Isn't that a Tag too?
  12. And what's the fun in that? I got to see a bike steaming as if it had just Roared out of hell! Quite a sight!
  13. Love the Pan pictures there! Really pretty Glad you had a good (if Cold) ride
  14. To be honest, best advice for helmets is find a shop that have a nice wide range and just ask the guys working there to help "Fit" you.. I've found that AGVs come up a little big on me and apply a bit of pressure to the forehead where as Shoeis seem to apply more pressure to the ears so I get slight ear ache after 4+ Hours with the helmet on. My point it that each manufacturer has their own styles and "Standard" shapes, so go and find a GOOD fit before anything else.. It's arguable your most important bit of kit, so make sure you get it right.. Good luck with the CBT!
  15. Can anyone recommend a hotel / BnB / Campsite over that way?
  16. Aww this thread is so sweet! You lot are such a bunch of adorable softies If anyone ever tries to moan about "Scary biker gangs" I'll just show them this thread of proud dads Massive congrats FQ.. All the best of luck to you and family, I'm sure you'll be over the moon once the little one comes and this Christmas will be that much more magical
  17. Ahh finally home! Was so lovely to see you all and meet new faces! Phil, who knew you were so charming in real life Had an awesome day out and proud to add 'fording a river' to the list of things I've done on a bike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Woop! Leaving in a minute, just looking at routes So excited! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I have to admit I'm a helmet snob (Oi! No jokes!) But that is a very pretty helmet you have there!
  20. *Nods sagely* You are indeed, the voice of reason! Ok Classic. Back to hurling it at the garage wall I think...
  21. The Logic is sound.... I'm with Fro!
  22. ! That is the same problem I have too! Even the electra has slightly too long arms.. Which makes finding gloves a real pain in the butt.. I've had my eye on the Electra jack for about two years now.. Couldn't justify the price either but my mum finally got fed up of my current leather jacket falling apart and took pity on me as an early birthday present..!
  23. Woo! I started by randomly buying some of their women's bike jeans cos they're some of the only ones I've found with curves on the hips but tighten again for the legs! Recently bought an Electra jacket, my first textile jacket ever, so looking forward to seeing how it is!
  24. Halvarssons and Lindstrands are two halves of a very good clothing line. I've had a few pair of biking jenes from them and really love them The hip and knee pads can be set to any height to fit your body shape and I can verify that in a crash they hold together! Easy link but you may find them cheaper in a shop
