And the Gerbing XR12 heated ones also use an independent lithium battery: http://www.getgeared.co.uk/gerbing-xr-12-hybrid-gloves-heated-wp-black?utm_campaign=+INSPIRE&utm_source=INSPIRE&utm_medium=INSPIRE -

I don't know... most bikes have small battery issues. I've been stranded so many times by flat batteries in winter Wire heated grips scare me - I either rip the wires when i forget them linked, or do as the OP says and leave something running. With the alarm drawing current too. Wonder if anyone has used these: http://www.keisapparel.co.uk/product/keis-x900-heated-outer-gloves-dual-control-x900-battery-packs-and-charger/ They can be independent battery powered instead of drawing current from the bike. No trailing wires! But expensive..! -
Thanks Tim - I didn't know these existed. They look useful but still would need two locks: one to use the pinch pin to lock around the seat through the rear wheel, and then another chain to lock the chained unit to a pillar or ground anchor. Thanks

Hi, I have an Almax chain which is really good and I've used it for years and never worried about theft. But it seems like thieves are getting more organised and steal bikes and leave the Almax chained wheel. A wrap around the centre of the bike Almax is a bit too expensive. Is there any other way to use a 1.5metre Almax to lock up the bike instead of just locking it around a single wheel?
