  1. Hi all, Could I draw your attention to this years Allied Memorial Remembrance Ride (AMRR) taking place at the American Cemetery in Madingley, Cambridge on Saturday 2nd July 2011. On the same day (not the same time due to time differences ) we have organised an Allied Remembrance Ride in Texas; Arizona; Oklahoma and New Hampshire in the USA along with a ride in Ottawa, Canada! All nations are riding to give remembrance of our fallen heroes of all allied forces, past and present who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. In the UK we will ride a short distance from Cambridge Services on the A14, through the NW side of Cambridge and to the American Cemetery where a short service will be held, whilst in the US they will take a ride across Dallas to an RAF memorial in Terrell, Tx where 20 of our (RAF) WWII pilots are buried. The other four events in the USA will also ride to RAF memorials within their States and Canada will ride to the commonwealth war memorial in Ottawa. ALL net profit from the UK ride will go to the British Legion Poppy Appeal, helping safeguard the welfare, interests and memory of those who are serving or who have served in the Armed Forces. The ride is open to all bikers! There is no political agenda and we ask that you Ride with Pride, Ride with Respect and Ride to Remember. Even if you cannot make this ride yourself, we would be extremely grateful if you would spread the word amongst other biking forums and clubs that you may be a part of. For full details of the event, please visit the official website at:www.alliedride.org Cheers & Ride safe, Dino

  3. Thanks Mark and Pen, what a great weekend .... and what a great bunch of people you have here - thanks to you all for making me feel so welcome
  4. Not too sure yet. I'm asking around but it may just be me on my own ... I can still party without the rest of em though
  5. There is a distinct possibility that one may become involved in this venture and would require camping facilities for the extent of the weekends frivolities if I may be so bold as to ask if there would be space available for one (Jules has already booked a piss up in London so won't be able to make it). I'll confirm a litttle closer to the date if that's okay guys. Missin' ya'll so much since you left us
  6. We had a good ride down too although the weather was naff when we left London, it soon improved. We had 7 of us from the Northwood Riders so made for a good ride down. As MonkeyKnuckle said, we met him, TimR, Skittles and her Dad - saw a few black Bandits so don't know if one was yours Netmeister Ride safe all and catch up again soon (hopefully)
  7. I'll be going to this too ... I'm bringing another 4 or 5 others from the Northwood Riders as well. Will be on my Bandit 1200 which should be easier to pick out from the rest as it's green in colour (this colour was only available for one year!) and it's fully faired with a full set of Givi panniers and back box. Also it has the Legion Riders 'Lions Head' logo on the lower fairing so come over and introduce yourselves if you spot me and I'll do likewise with you guys. Ride safe and hope to see ya tomorrow
  8. It was good to meet up with old and new faces. Thanks to Princess & Susie for the 'pit stops' - much appreciated Had a good day out and if you're ever up for he Ace again, let me know (A5 next time though!!). Regards and respect
  9. No unfortunately not ... a couple may be at the Ace though I have just spoken with Mark (Scala Riders are the way ahead!). Things going okay and next stop for them is Northampton. Dave and I will be leaving in about half an hour heading to LB and will try and get online when we're there so we can confirm things are still running to schedule!
  10. I've made some calls this morning to the Northwood crew and looks like there will just be a couple of us riding to Leighton Buzzard with the possibility of some of the other meeting at the Ace. So only an additional two mugs please susie See ya soon
  11. There's a good chance the Northwood crew will meet you in Leighton Buzzard and run down to the Ace with you. Not too sure on numbers involved and could be anything between 1 and 7 (possibly 3 x 125's). Will give Akey a call when he's on the road if we're game on. Enjoy the ride down all those involved and hope to see some of you at about 14:00.
  12. Just realised how rude I was on Sunday ... I was so wrapped up in the other groups I was chatting with I only really spoke to yorbandit from TMBF! Sorry for my ignorance to all that was there, it shan't happen again
  13. Yes the scottoiler will work with injected systems by connecting to one of the balance pipes .... have a look at their website as they have bike specific information: http://www.scottoiler.com/
  14. I too am looking to get the C3 so would also be grateful of any comments
  15. Was having a senior moment Shipwreck ... I hadn't even gone to the end of the posts before I put it up!!!
