  1. Yeah, I already tried turning the bars and it made no difference to the engine speed. It's only when i raise the engine speed above 4000rpm, then just refuses to go below. Even if I put it in first with the brake on and let the clutch out till it goes to 1500, it just comes right back up after I pull the clutch. And once it's at 4000/5000rpm the idle screw does nothing.
  2. Hi, I apologise if this has been asked, but I did have a look and couldn't find anything similar (i'm at work so can't be searching too long). But basically I'm having trouble with my idle at the moment. It started off that my idle was surging +- 500rpm. I was trying to set it at around 1600/700rpm. I thought it might not have been warm enough yet so I decided to go down the road and back, and after it went over 4000rpm it didn't want to go back down. Even if I let go of the throttle completely it would still be happily pulling me up the hill at 3000rpm. Where, normally it would just continue to slow till I would normally stall. I decided to go to a motorbike garage on the way to work and ask them what it might be. They mentioned it may be an air leak. So I thought I would ask on here in case somone has had this before and also just for a second opinion, as I don't have much time before I go back up to uni. Thanks in advance James
  3. Sorry for the late reply. Annoyingly now I can't afford to buy anything at this time due to breaking my phone, insurance and needing to buy stuff for uni. I'll give you a PM in a few months time if I can afford it by then.
  4. Was wondering if anyone has a pit bike for sale? Condition isn't a massive concern, as long as it runs well enough to be ragged around. Found a huge piece of land that is just begging to be ridden on! Please message me if you have one for sale by any chance Cheers
  5. My insurance is due up at the end of next week due to it being cancelled It has an MOT till the 26th of August, but if I can get it done sooner it will pass, last year there was only 2 advisories, I'm sure it will pass this year easily. It has had 3 new tyres fitted in the last month or so and the 4th maybe 2 months ago. I has had the engine swapped, but is the exact same 1.2 engine as the original. Would be great for a first car like it was for me, but as I'm off to uni and looking to get a motorbike it's just not worth the money, especially as I'll never use it if I have a bike. Please feel free to message me for more information on anything. It was given to me from my dad so I'm not toooooooo fussed on the price, so let me know what your budget is. I am looking for about £400 at the minimum though. Also have a fair amount of spares eg. fuel rail, injectors, starter motor, ac compressor, basically a whole other engine (minus the snapped con rod).
  6. My first day on a proper geared bike on a path next to a river. I was assured it had brake fluid (it didn't) then was going about 45mph and needed to stop urgently, nothing happened when I used either brakes, shifted straight down to 1st and lowsided. Inexperience and over-confidence is just wonderful haha
