Save all the silica gel packs you get in packaging etc. Find a airtight container, tubs of quality street etc, and after each non-raining ride stick them all in the gloves and then then put them in the air tight container. Worked with my gloves.

Yeah we've all fallen off. Early mornings for me are a killer on the bike in a mesh jacket. I usually wear a hoody underneath to help somewhat but come the ride home in the sun it makes the mornings pain worth while.
-
I've got one and it came with a waterproof over jacket that fits in a pocket on the back of the mesh jacket in case it rains. It dries really quickly as it's just two layers of the mesh for most of the jacket apart from where the pads are. The are contained in small pockets and have a full material part on the outside. I had a minor 20-30mph accident in it where I was able to roll as I came off the bike and it's grazed part of that material on the elbow but stood up to it. Might have been different had I slid along the road.

Lol yeah, not one of the fuddy duddies. How old are you?

Listened to Hip Hop and R&B for a long time now. The kids I work with are surprised when their so called fat, ginger gened, slap head of a teacher has more hardcore music than they have and that I've been listening to it longer than they've been alive. I've recently got into my dubstep though thanks to tracks like those below. I like this track because of the skating in the video, "> but more importantly because of this dancing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfZq-70w0uk This track is cool but shouldn't be played on your commute to work on the bike. Well it should if you want to knock 10-20 minutes off your ride. ">

F***ing busy body old bitch!!!! I'm off work and feel like shit but had to nip to the doctors to pick up a prescription for my son so I thought I'd cycle down and take the dog with me. I have an attachment on the bike thats designed for attaching a dogs collar so they can run along side the bike. It's a hot day of course but because i'm not well I'm not going particularly fast. Anyway I get there alright but on the way home I'm going peddling up a slight hill and notice a car next to me almost at a standtill. I don't think much of it till it pulls up along side me again and I notice a woman gesticulating out the window. I turn my headphones off and she's yelling at me about giving my dog a heart attack and similar shit and that she'll run my bike off the road if I carry on. Obviously she gets told to go f**k herself and bring it on etc but who the f**k did she think she was. She doesn't know me so doesn't know I'm going to water and shower my dog when I get home to cool her off. She doesn't know my dog, a collie bred for working long hot summers and long cold winters. She doesn't know where I've cycled from. For all she knew I could have been training for a heptathlon or just as easily left my home 100 yards down the road. What gives her the right to do that? I bet the pet loving bitch wouldn't have said anything if it had been a small child peddling alongside their dad. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh bitch made me mad. F**k it.

DAS isn't the only way to go. I passed my CBT and rode a few months on a 125 but got seriously frustrated with the lack of power and speed so thought sod it and took a few two hour lessons every week until my full bike test was available. I had about 4 or 5 lesson and to be honest those lessons were with others who weren't as confident on the bikes as I was so I got pretty much overlooked as I was competent enough so could have done with a few less lessons if it was one to one. If you've been driving a while, which I had, then you don't really need the road experience on the 125 so I'd go for the DAS or weekly lessons till you're ready.

The guy said that the Goo is waterbased so can be washed out. Here's a photo. http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/9448/photo2tjs.jpg

Hi, Got a puncture today. AA came out and stuck some of that gooey stuff in and then plugged it as it was too big a hole for just the goo. He said because of the plug I should not exceed 40mph and get the tire replaced. After reading loads of stuff on here about people getting tires plugged I was wondering whether this was the case or can i keep riding? The location of it is just off centre. If the side stand was on the right then it would be on the floor while leaning in that direction so not too far off centre.

Feel for you mate. RIP.

I've messed up loads so only a few rows into the latest attempt. For some reason the stitches keep getting too tight and I have to start over. I can purl though as well as regular knit.
-
Supposed to be a bloke, got a bike, played manly sports for years, enjoy technology etc but found myself knitting all afternoon. What the f**k is that about? F**k it!

Why not go out and catch a terrorist like the yanks have?

That's the one, just don't get it mixed up with the one called BMW Pidcocks, or the one called Triumph Pidcocks. All of which are located around Long Eaton, but not next to each other. I may be there, depends what time I get up and if the wife has plans for me. -
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHH!!! *Looks around innocently* I'm sure something just flew over my head.

Hi all, My car has been lacking power for a while now. When you accelerate it does so fine but if you take it up to about 4k revs the power suddenly drops and after this whenever you accelerate it seems to be ok but then halfway through the rev range for each gear it just doesn't seem to go anywhere. It also seems to stutter at times even when the car isn't suffering from the problem AND once in a while if I accelerate hard in first gear the car cuts out. Once the car loses the power I have to turn it off and power it up again to sort it. I've just given the engine a once over, not that I know shit about engines, and have noticed a peach/orange coloured sort of flaky stuff. I've taken pictures below. https://picasaweb.google.com/phatdad/Ap ... directlink

F**k it! Really enjoying Game of Thrones at the moment and have to wait weekly to watch each episode when I'm used to downloading and watching full seasons in one or two sittings. Thoroughly recommend the show to everyone though.

No you'll be fine. I often receive calls when on the bike. I have an iphone with TomTom so I have the headphones plugged in with the mic part near my mouth. People don't realise I'm actually on the bike when I answer so the wind blowing against the mic doesn't seem to be an issue either. I also listen to music through TomTom too which gets cut when I get a call so it all works really well. Although I'd rather have earplugs and speakers in the helmet. I do have the autocom system which cost me a fair bit but to be honest not many people use radio to radio so I never got to use it.
-
Two mobile phones with free 02 to 02 type package, then call each other over headphones until the end of the ride.
-
Ordered a new phone it was supposed to arrive yesterday, it's still not here. Sick of sitting and waiting and know full well, the moment I leave the house to nip to the shop they'll turn up. bast*rds!!!! errrr i mean F**k it!!!

commutiing through london every day, I can say I use my hi's a lot. I tend to let people pass instead of them crashing into me. Whenever I've used mine to signal for someone to move out or similar they've completely missed it so I decided to stop using it and not rely on anyone seeing me flash. I'd rather concentrate on riding than depressing a button.

You mean you use it?
