  1. Where abouts in Notts are you? I'm over in Sneinton so have to pass through or around town to get to Matlock so can meet you where ever is convenient.
  2. I'm going and can meet up. Then we can do the A52 to derby then to ashbourne, then matlock. What do you say? No thanks, I don't do motorways on the bike unless absolutely necessary. Will head to Matlock via Mansfield. Anyone else coming from Lincoln, Newark or Mansfield ? Meet up with me in Notts mate. My number is in the private numbers post you need to ask permission for access to. or PM me on here.
  3. OMG, I didn't think it was possible to have a meet without Roy. It'll be my first Roy-less meet. Oh well, more mince pies for me.

  8. Hey, I'm coming from Nottingham but instead of going the A610 route I'll stick to the A52 through Derby, up to Ashbourne and then Matlock from there. It's a nicer ride than the pretty much straight A610.
  9. Even Phatdad!! and what's that supposed to mean?
  10. How about we all pay £2 and park our bikes perpendicularly across two bays.
  11. As far as I'm aware the carpark is traditionally were we've always parked... for free, so now they demanding we pay I think it's only fair to protest park in there. End of the day it's only a quid but it's the principle of it. Bikers are what make Matlock, Matlock in my opinion.
  12. I should be attending, I got permission last night from the wife, 'as long as it's not raining' she said. She worries about me after the accident the other week. Who'd have thought it hey, she loves me after all... that or she's not got the life insurance sorted yet. If they are being so tight about bike parking then shall we do what Bex suggested in the older thread and each take a parking bay per bike rather than sharing them? Hopefully if we get enough attending and we mug those that aren't with us we can fill the car park with just bikes and tell the car drivers to go and question the parking attendants why they can't park.
  13. Can i ask why you need the volume control? I had a problem with my iphone. I have the autocom system which works fantastic apart from the fact I couldn't answer a bloody call. I had to use my old nokia n73 that I used for TOMTOM through the autocom and forward any calls from the iphone to the nokia which had the autoanswer feature. I did however come up with the idea of creating a button mounted on the handlebars that would do that for me. I bought all the kit needed, cheap versions in case it didn't work, and had my mate Dan on here to solder it all. It works so it is possible to do for answering but no idea how you'd do the volume unless you could figure out the wiring from headphones that have that ability, but then I've not seen any headphones that can change the volume.
  14. Hi everyone. I've just been on to David Silver as I can't find a brake pedal anywhere for my bike and they don't have any BUT they are available from Honda at a whopping £114 + VAT. I don't have that sort of cash normally, particularly just before xmas, so does anyone have any idea what I can do?
  15. It bottoms out quite easily with my 17 stone on the back.
  16. you can pick up a new lever for same money.. Where from? I need lever and brake pedal but can't find anywhere.
  17. Colin, Colin, Colin, may I remind you that it is moi you are speaking to and not some spanner monkey. Could you please translate your post into a language I can understand. If you could keep it to 2 syllables or less I would be grateful.
  18. How about this? Oh and I don't mean instead of the rear shock. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-VFR750FT-VF ... 111wt_1165
  19. Hey all. Bike, 1989 Honda VFR750f Firstly, will the following fit my bike. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-Honda-VFR750 ... 500wt_1182 Please expect the secondly, thirdly and more in subsequent posts.
  20. It's the + you need to hardwire. I had already fitted some 12v cigarette sockets so ran the heated grip wire all the way to the back of the bike and wired it into the rear light where the 12v sockets had been connected.
  21. Thanks for your support lads but unfortunately the pass was refused and she stumbled upon the tunnel as it collapsed near the garage. I've started bribing one of the camp guards so it may be ok next week unless the allied forces break me free before hand.
  22. I'm going to give it a go but I have to try and get hold of a day release pass from hein fuhrer, I mean my wife.
  23. Was the person you were speaking to at HG one of their staff as it would seem obvious to me that they would say such things to possibly make more sales of the higher end and I presume more profitable models. You don't always get what you pay for. Also, fit is possibly more imoportant and of all the flip up helmets I've tried on the cheaper £150 viper or something helmet fits better than the more expensive ones so I'd go for that one, especially as it has one star higher than the shoei.
  24. I'm off to Dans on Saturday. Not really that much of a nice ride but at least I get tea when I get there.
