Congratulations on the Mod 1 success. When the mod 2? I have my second attempt at mod 1 tomoz morn. Got to be in Bristol for 7.30am I think the tests at 8.30 can’t quite remember. Looking forward to seeing how I can cock this one up -
Type of security

You could consider alarming your garage door if you want to go the whole way. I don’t understand why there isn’t a lock that makes your phone alarm if broken/tampered with. It can’t be that hard, the circuits broken the phone alarms. Most of the time you’re very close to your bike and could possibly beat the living daylights out of them.... I mean scare them off and call the police.... -

I’d like to see the mess I’d make using that method, wouldn’t like to pay for said mess tho! -

That’s true and I do take the longer route but by jove it’s a bit of a job in a helmet with the sun beating down on you! Imagine a sweaty red faced Kermit the frog, theres no dignity in it! -
Thanks for the info Ill check the wiring. ta Many, and many in the rear view mirror, its quite an unexplained phenomenon for her......

Cheers thats nice to hear. Its been particulary sore because everyone expects me to pass (which I find annoying) and Ive had to put up with the "You failed? Really your kidding?" followed by gleeful grin as they savour the failure- meanies! -
Manual handling Mod 1

Yeh well spose you've convinced me its a necessary evil. Its just falls into the category of 'Id rather not ta' I seem to sadly have an ingrained manual handling HSE guide in my tiny mind after having to do manual handling updates every single year for the last 20+ years. Avoid all uneccessary manual handling. On one-two wheels if its over 200kg its very high risk and should be looked at immediately as it could cause injury, its also an unstable load being moved in a poor body position. There told you it was sadly ingrained! The bike weighs over 4 times wot I do so Im not (said with an embarrassed face) too ashamed. Shame cant do it at the end of the test though to make full use of the adrenaline and wouldnt have to waste time recovering/buggering up before the rest of the test. Well thanks for the words of encouragement. Failing first time has kinda relieved some pressure and I know Ill pass it one day! -

That story is my nightmare! My kermit arms wouldnt stand a chance. My Ma told me (who is a 5' 2" lightweight and has ridden wotever bikes she fancied) said you learn pretty quick not to make parking mistakes when you have to ask for help from whoever takes pity on you! -

Manual handling Mod 1

Yeh pushing the bike but why do you have to push it in a semi circle off the bike. I push my bike backwards and forwards cos its easy and sometimes necessary but wot odds does it make if you sit on it to paddle it backwards? -
Failed mod 1 yesterday. It was a bit of surprise tbh cos Id repeatedly flawlessly managed it all on every practice and actually (stupidly thought) I'mma gonna win. Alas moron me surfaced at the crucial moment and screwed things up by not taking the completely essential for a weed like me time to recover from the manual handling and jumped on the bike whilst still weak and sweaty with arms like elastic bands that have no elastic left in them. Things is Im left wondering why it is necessary to be backwards in semi circle (regardless of method used) and why can't you paddle it, surely its safer? Wot u think?
