Eh Iv insured my bike for £1000 due to its age and mileage. But as scrap parts my starting motor is £960 tank £90 .seat£30 so on what they will get if they strip the bike down Not £20 at the local scrappys .

Scrap is not scrap anson scrap metal scrap is what they sell the parts for .. like my bike is worth £1000 yet the starting motor is £960 so they rest of the bike to sell . .

No there is not it is fully protected by part P . .any electrical work must be done by a fully qualified registered electrician. If you think changing a light bulb or plug is something you can Google to get around it .then wow..

Hi all . Just a question as Iv looked on line and cant quite find definitive answer .. So my daughter has her provisional licence with motorbike entitlement so last week she went for her theory test to learn to drive as she is wanting to do her car test . So my question is Is the theory test the same for cars and bikes so if she does the theory test does that cover bikes and cars .. As she failed by 1 question one bloody question but you have to have a line 1 question 2 questions where does it stop . So if she passes her theory (which she is doing for her car test ) as my wife an son and my daughter will all be going for there CBT together So does the theory test cover cars and bikes as on her failed paper they give you at the end of the test its says on the bottom of the page cars/motorcycles . Dont touch the electictics as you will get in trouble unless your part P registered and in the EICEIC ITY BBC AND SKY which cost a bomb to stick with . Get a sparky in and he will check and certificate the rest of the house for 10 years unless you get another sparky in .. You cant go round doing your own electric work any more You do and someone gets a shock you will be prosacu prossatut prosstaa headbutted .LOL . Motorhomes are fantastic in say the USA here in the UK no fecking chance.. unless you want to spend a lot time say in the highlands of Scotland .but then you get shite weather .. iv been on 2 motorhomes trips to the US once LA .. 2an New York/Niagara falls and wow .. fantastic . Well it's been a cupl days and still smooth . So I think I'm going to stick with this new way . One other thing I forgot to.add . When I was going up and down with the razor it didnt clog up like it used to when i was shaving one way . . Learn something new lol

The M4 near me has started in the last cupl years along Newport different speed limits and I used to drive that road 2 ton3 times a day for like 15 years and since these new speed restrictions are used iv never ever seen as much traffic jams in my life on that section All down to these stupid speed restrictions.. they say it's to help the environment BOLLOCKS the amount of emissions that must be pumping out every day at ever section that been slowed down must have halved the the fecking polar bears population .. every single traffic jam starts with these speed restrictions.. the ppl.who come up with this idea needs to the feckkng fed to the polar bears... .every part where is 70mph which every one is doing 80plus . Due to being stuck for the last hour .. is all clear and running ..

Ok my lads .. carb cleaned as much as I know about cleaning cards . New gas . Fixed the new pinions in . Lost the fecking circlip so put a wee washer on for now put it all back together on with new battery and kicked the starter and its ALIVE ITS ALIVE HA HA HA .. ok it starts and runs on the kickstart not the starter button sonic orederd a new solenoid as iv checked the wires and there ok so soon as the bit arrives I'll update you cheers all

ok ok back to the start when I was a kid I used to watch my dad shave and like many kids i guess followed what he did . So forward 30 years I just stuck with what my dad did get on face then shave downwards then quick wash small amount of gel shave upwards . So over the weekend my son who's 16 was off out to a party so bathroom hogged for 2 hours lol . So as he was almost done I went In and he was shaving now he is blonde so I thought theres not much point son but leave him be .. then I see how he is doing it . He is holding his razor (gellett mach 3 thing ) and hes going up and down his face but NOT taken the razor off his face to go back upwards just sliding it back up. As the way I do it is down off face back to the top down again same with when I do it on the upwards. So i said who showed you to do it that way he said his m8s . So ok so to day I thought I'll try his way and WOW I didnt have to do it upwards as I use the same type of razor and it's a very close shave ( sounds like a bloody advert now ) so how do you guys do it your way ..

That's my plan strip it right down . The last owner said the starter needed to be wired in .easy job so he was using the kick start instead he was a 16old living with his gran so I guess he just didnt know how to try and fix things . . Iv got some new bits coming once I get them I'm going to try the starting process At the moment I'm still cleaning years of crap off the bike . So far iv found mint paint work due to all the oil grease and shite stopping the water and the elements getting to the point work lol . Cheers guys

O an a candidate for nob of the week taken all the bolts nuts screws off the bike to strip it down taken the engine case off so I can fix the kick start . Put all the stuff in a small box . After washing all the panels down and wiping them dry I put all the rubbish in the bin . Yea you guessed it and the fecking wee box . So I need to buy all the small fittings .. .what a tit

Hi yes I put it on trickle charge and after about 20mins it was full charge . Iv taken all the electric tape off as some just didnt look right so iv been going thro the wires .. no clicking so iv bought a new one it be here in a few days . By then iv checked a few more bits .

Iv seen that p40 stuff I might go for that. Also the parts that the boys and screws go thro that are broke I'll be doing the alloy and rivet method. Cheers

Hi that was the 1st thing I did when it 1st started happen as I asked on here then . But it's still giving me.problmes . Starting to lose faith in the bike as I fell one day it's just going to stop and wont start again yet iv tried and checked everything. I bought a new fuel filter sat I'm going.to fit that on but waiting for the tank to empty .as I'm going to take off the fuel cock thing and check that .as there is a filter in side the tank which is quite expensive so the last owner put a fuel filter under the tank rather than inside . As the one he put on it £4 . So I'm going to check that .as it's all that iv not done . Does redX work on motorcycles ?? Also I was told by a motorbike mechanic years go that you dont put RedX in a jap bike .. I'd that true ???

I bought my son a Peugeot speed fight 2 50cc the seller said the battery was dead (was ) and the kickstart needs a new pinion. So due to not having it running I made him an offer and he said ok . He showed me that the engine was not seized and few broken clips holding on some the plastics . So i thought have a go . Stripped all the plastics off cleaned them up ready to repair . Bought a new battery to try and start the bike and it's dead. So if ordered a new kickstarter for it . So in the mean time any help on trying to start this things I need to check . Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I'll.try that stuff as iv been told to use fiberglass repair iv never used it before so. I'll have a go Some of the bits are lost some are still fixed to the bone.broken side . So it be a try and fix back together again repair .. Well we had a go at starting the bike and no luck .I need to buy a new kick start pinion thing . As it comes with electric start so I thought buy a new battery 1st .that way dont need the kick start .

Iv been getting that sort of thing with my bike for the last few months an been pulling my hair out trying to fix it Now you saying that it only starts when the bike is getting hot .as unused the other day and it was doing this a lot struggling to get petrol .

I was told if your wheels go over the solid white line then the cops can pull you .as only when the wheels cross the line .as if there was no other traffic in the lane then you would not be crossing the line so when I pass on a solid white line I stay in the lane as when I do that manover it's the long down hill just few mins from my house which is the main road in to town which rush hour clogs up theres not many vehicles that dont move over for me to pass while I'm still in my lane . (Unless is a bus at the bus stop then I go over the line )

BECAUSE THE PRICK would have slowed down along side the biker just the very same as he spead up as he was to pass him .
