  1. Hello! So I’ve just got my new YBR 125 a couple of days ago and it’s a bit different to my previous one. On the ignition there is an engine light (Amber/Brown coloured). I’m already having issues with it, as soon as I click into first gear, the engine light flashes 4 times quickly and then cuts out. I called a Yamaha technical person and he has said that it’s not code and it’s probably a side stand switch or something. ANYWAYS, I was wondering if any of you could tell me how you read the code? I have a list of what each code means but I’m not sure how to read the code from the flashes, just for the future! Thanks
  2. RIP, oh well just search up YBR 125 2009 and find a black one! Haha
  3. Oo that didn’t work, try this link http://tinypic.com/r/2d8rj8n/9

  5. My bike has currently got two chains on it at the moment and I shall be taking a trip to J&S to get a tracker and a disc lock! Thank you too
  6. That would be a fantastic idea
  7. So I recently posted in the last few weeks that my bike had been stolen, and I just wanted to thank everyone who commented and made me feel better (you know who you are!). I just picked up another YBR 125 today, and it’s newer! Unfortunately i was travelling 2 hours in -4 winds, not good!
  8. I’ve actually just picked up my new bike! It’s the same bike - YBR 125 - but it’s a newer one. Went to pick it up in -4 winds too
  9. Thank you, honestly people like you make me smile
  10. My problem is, I don't have enough money to do finance as I've already researched this quite a bit, and I really need a motorbike to get to college etc so I am very desperate and ATM only have about £300.
  11. I am pretty devastated and all of you are so lovely honestly! I have considered getting a student credit card with a max of £500 but I'm not too sure yet.
  12. Yeah but I'm 18, and just literally spent all of my savings on my bike
  13. Thank you, you're all making me feel such better !
  14. That's a fantastic idea to be fair, I had just ordered a Haynes manual for my bike so I can sorta go from that
  15. While technically true, saying "it could be worse" is just dismissive of the OP's issue. It's just a bike. But the OP like many of us attach emotions to them. It was in the news this year a teenager took his own life when debt collectors took his bike and he lost the ability to make money. Never underestimate the emotional value something can carry. @emmajaneg I've had 2 bikes nicked and it feels soul crushing when it happens. The first one I spent years saving up for and couldn't replace it as my insurance premiums rocketed so high. I lost a machine that enabled the biggest part of my social life, it was my only way to get to work and around in general, and I lived 200 miles from family. It is depressing but if you keep at it, it all works out in the end. And the bike may yet still show up if the police are involved. A 125 is normally stolen by a chav and ragged around before being dumped. Get out and look for it is my suggestion, and target the council estates and parks. They have a habit of showing up around there. Yeah it hurt a lot and I, pretty sure it was just a bunch of chavs to be honest. I'm already looking at finance to get another bike
  16. It was stolen from my boyfriends house just outside unfortunately
  17. Really? Childishness much, you can't compare the loss of a bike to the loss of a child but it was my first bike, Im going to be upset
  18. It's okay thank you, it wasn't in the best condition but I felt like I had the most precious thing ripped from me. I'm looking to apply for a credit card and treat myself to a new one
  19. So, this morning I realised that beloved YBR 125 had been stolen. Not really sure how to feel as I've only owned it for nearly 3 months, and my insurance is only 3rd party This was my first bike and it was everything's to me, shown by the endless crying that's been going on.
  20. Unfortunately I don't have any to offer however if you're still not able to find any, any J&S store would be perfect. They have sales on and I have just been able to buy a brand new Frank Thomas helmet and gloves with thermals for under £100! Service is fantastic too
  21. Thank you for the help! My boyfriend has bought me a Yamaha YZF R6 jacket from old stock which was £53. Has got shoulder and elbow pads but unfortunately not back support. Still pretty decent for the price though for Yamaha, made very well
  22. Because various sellers have old Yamaha stock. I have just purchased a Yamaha full padded jacket for £53, but it wasn’t brand new. That’s what I was looking for. I understand fully that the new Yamaha stock only included paddock jackets etc
  23. Thank you so much but I’m about a size 16-18 at tops in women’s sizing so I’m not sure, thank you for the thought though
  24. Hello, I am in need of a motorbike jacket now it’s edging closer to winter, and I am absolutely freezing now! I am looking at Yamaha jackets (would prefer Yamaha label) and I don’t have the money to buy a decent, padded jacket right now. So my question is, is a paddock type coat suitable for riding a bike in cold weather? Has anyone got one? I will post a link to the one I’m looking at: https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwijlcXp_qPeAhXFhtUKHeGHAUoYABAXGgJ3cw&ohost=www.google.co.uk&cid=CAESQOD2kzeo3sJIJ0QvJ3BWJgwsx23wK5G5_llkbE_k7HxoXVY779wvd8aFdSG3BIIcTkapFZQsfOGiE33QUeRUMZ8&sig=AOD64_37FlnU_2wMsjQfxEN5_B90z3VNuw&ctype=5&q=&ved=0ahUKEwih3b7p_qPeAhXJ-6QKHXSJAfwQwg8IaQ&adurl=
