Very occasionally my bike will go into a false neutral when changing gear, is this indicative of a problem? or is it just the result of a half arsed gear change?
-
I meant after cleaning the bike but i went ahead and clean+ lubed the chain and cant be arsed to clean it anymore
-
Random Q: am i better to lubricate the drive chain before or after cleaning?

Crisis over! I was mistaking the headlight relay for the flasher relay got it going now
-
I've just put led indicators on my bike, and the flashing rate wont slow down to a normal rate even with the motrax flash it relay. Its a honda specific relay so should definatly work with my bike The bikes original relay is a 3 pin, but the motrax relay seems to only have 2 pins??

Seems to screw straight into the front fairing, il get a pic of it in a day or so when i can get hold of a camera

Waterproof overjacket
Phil_D replied to Phil_D's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Yeh thats the type of thing i had in mind, although im not too sure how a cheap tescos thing would hold up at motorway speeds without tearing -
I think what stu means by 'play' is the distance the lever can be pulled in by before you feel any resistance. 2-5mm play is ok, any more need adjusting

I'm looking to buy a waterproof over jacket for when the weather isnt so great, i've seen a few jackets which look decent enough (alpinestars rain jacket and motrax jonny jacket) but i would prefer something that can be packed into a small pouch so i can keep it under the seat of my bike. Any one know of any?

Heres a pic of the bolt i mean (not my bike) http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n135/loopingdragon/cbr2.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n135/loopingdragon/cbr1.jpg It doesnt have a nut the other side which the screen bolt above it does, it is also a lot smaller in diameter than the bolt above which makes me think i cant just buy a universal bolt
-
I looked at the screen screws on the halfords website and they all seem to require a nut on the other side, i unscrewed the bolt on the otherside of th windscreen and it doesnt have a bolt, it just screw into the fairing, its only the upper bolt on each side that have nuts on the other side, they are also different in diameter.
-
I seem to be missing a bolt on my honda cbr600f4, its one of the ones that bolts the windscreen onto the fairing (i think theres about 6 of them in total). Where would i be able to pick one of these up from?

Had 6 hours on Mod2 training today, came pretty easy just forgot to click my indicator off a few times thats all. Got my test tomorow and thats my DAS finished (hopefully!). Did a load of test routes starting from the test centre and spoke with a few of the guys down there and apparently a girl locked up her front wheel on the swerve test today and took a spill so it was all a bit chaotic as they didnt even have a first aider on site. -

No just some bits and bobs i got told when doing my cbt. I was under the impression that safety quesiton/ quesitons about the bike were part of module 2? -
I've just been watching the DSA clips on youtube and it say you get asked quesitons before doing the test (such as where to check oil etc) this is the first i've heard about this! If you have done your module 1 test did you get asked questions? I thought that was all done in module 2??
