  1. I've always believed valentine's is a load of rubbish and you shouldn't require one day to show affection. This is my first time not being single on valentine's day (Go me!! ) but I've stuck to my guns on my belief.

That said the gf thought it would be nice since it's our first. Coincidently we had been together 6 months on the 12th so I thought it much nicer and special to celebrate that. We spent the whole day just relaxing together, watch films, giving massage, made a cheesecake and went out for dinner. It was brilliant :D

  2. Get a temp job with something like PGL, It will really help with your application..

Are you going in as an officer or are you going to work for a living...???

Officer  PGL looks good and like Go Ape there's one fairly local to me. The latter is still fav though

Thanks for the ideas guys! Keep them coming :D

  3. I've heard a lot about Go Ape from people and it sounds like a great place to go to. Just looking through the site and it looks like something I'd quite enjoy too. That's currently top of the list, just wondering if they provide training for some of the instructor positions like climbing... either way I'm sure there's something I could do there, I meet all the personal requirements and most of the desirables too.

  4. I have considered that, our uni runs some schemes where we can go to america for a summer. However I need to be available in the UK for potential interviews and medicals etc for the RAF so would prefer to be in the UK. I have considered schemes in the UK however the cost of living the becomes a factor.

  5. For quite a while now all I've wanted to do is join the RAF once I finish my degree. However I've recently found out that they wont be hiring for the role I want to do until the end of the year. My problem is that I finish my course in June and my house contract runs out at the same time. Therefore I'll technically be homeless with nothing to do from the end of June.,There are several places I can stay and I do have a part time job in a care home but I'd rather be doing something more with my time that will hopefully aid my RAF application.

Therefore I need something to do that is worth while until I can get in the RAF but I'm not sure what. Ideally I'd get a job in an airport or somewhere aviation related on a temporary contract although I've yet to find something suitable.

Does anyone know of placements or anything that might be suitable or have any other ideas of things I could do until then that would be worth while and preferably bring a bit of money in?

  6. Attended an RTC today and the woman driver said "its cos its friday the 13th" I said thats funny cos there was a collision yesterday and the day before and neither of them were Friday the 13th

Had a brilliant day myself :3some:  :yay: although not as far as :asslick:

  7. Ask when you take it in for a service

Take it in for a service??????? Why?

I'll change the plugs, oil and filter and everything else it says for a major service in the hand book next Friday I think and see how that goes.

If it doesn't solve it I guess I'll give in and buy a Haynes Manual for the bike, failing that I guess I really will give in and take it to a garage...

  8. It is fuel injected and I have played around with the idle speed settings, most of the time it work 100% fine but occasionally it does this, quite annoying.

Its coming up to needing a service so I think I might do that next weekend and check the sparks etc see if that makes a difference.

Really don't want to have to take it to the garage as trying to save some money up.

  9. (8) In this section "animal" means horse, cattle, ass, mule, sheep, pig, goat or dog.

What about cats, dear, pheasants and the like?

Though agree, it depends entirely on whether their vehicle had an effect upon the accident, if their vehicle had no involvement then cannot claim on their insurance.

  10. What complete twats, at least it wasn't all new kit though,

What did you think of Christmas market? Went on sunday and thought it was ok but nothing special. Looking fowards to the festival at York on sunday though

  11. I have a two piece set of textiles and a one piece leather suit, I'd rather they were both two pieces to be honest.

The two piece textiles are brilliant for the fact that I can easily sit in my textiles or take my jacket off and leave it somewhere, it's brilliant. However I hate textiles and only wear them when it's too cold or wet for the leathers (even whilst wearing thermal layers, I wait until it's that bad)

I love my one piece leather suit, but I would much prefer a two piece set and would of had some if I could have found some in my size at BMF the other month.
