  1. I bought my CBR off eBay as well. I got lucky, because (in hindsight), it could've been a disaster! First time I saw the bike in the flesh was when it was delivered to me.
  2. Stopped by Blade's in Abingdon yesterday just for a browse and had a good look at the Ninja 650. Looks like a very nice bike. Very comfortable, but still a sporty look, although at 68bhp it seems a bit underpowered. I was hoping to narrow it down, not get more choices!
  3. I always wear full gear, even if I'm just going "down the road".
  4. Thanks the elders' wisdom, I am now on the lookout for a Fazer, but they seem to be very popular, as there are not many about. Certainly not in my neck of the woods
  5. Thanks for the replies. I managed to do it by clicking the back button. As I said earlier, I can't see an actual "back button", but I just clicked in he top left corner of the sub menu and it worked.
  6. Thanks for the input. I'll look into the FZ6 as well.
  7. I know you must get tired of these type of questions, but I know nought about bikes, as I'm still a noob! I currently have a '99 CBR600F, which still runs very good, but I'm looking for something with a more upright seating position. At the moment I've narrowed it down between the GSX650 and the XJ6 Divvy. I am yet to try any of them, but I will as soon as I can. My question is more about the performance, as I've seen conflicting opinions on both bikes. However, the opinion that the Diversion is a bit dull seems to be the majority one. Does anyone have any thoughts? Or maybe a different option that I don't know of? Cheers
  8. I can't see a "back" button, but if I click where I guess it would be, it works. Strange...
  9. Playing around with the "Road Trips" function on the route planner. I clicked on Road Trips and just clicked on the first one that came up. No it won't go back to start, it just stays on that road trip, so I can't select anything else. I tried refreshing the page, logged out and back in, but nothing resets it. If I go to road trips, it just opens directly on the one I clicked on originally. As I said before, this is in the route planner on MyDrive. Any suggestions as to how to reset it? Cheers
  10. I've got the exact same one. Same colour scheme as well
  11. Thanks for the tip. Do you have their details? ">
  12. I think I might have to flog it on eBay or something. I just bought the Shoei 3 months ago and can't buy another one
  13. Err, ok, I think I had a bit of a brainfart. I received the Ghost X and while trying to figure out where to mount it I noticed that my helmet (Neotec 2) might not be best suited for a side mounted camera. The optimum spot to stick the mount on is exactly where the gap between the main helmet and the flip up bit is. If I mount it just behind the gap, the camera won't point exactly straight ahead, as it is off centre... I should really have thought about this before I bought it! D'ho
  14. Sounds good to me mate. Maybe drop me a pm if you go out again? Cheers.
  15. I was wondering if there's anyone here from the Reading/Newbury area who would like to meet up for the occasional ride. I got my licence on DAS in Nov 18, so not very experienced. I would like to get to know the area in terms of nice riding routes etc. I've been from Pangbourne to Swindon via the A417 and A420 and do most of my riding around the A329/A417, but I'd like to explore a bit more.
  16. No probs, it's small, relatively unobtrusive, cheapish, not upto go pro quality but it's not go pro price, I think best quality is 720 60fps, the above clip would prob looked better without rain on the lens. Indeed. If I wanted to do youtube vlogging, I'd probably go for the GoPro or something else. However, I always think it looks rather silly when you see one mounted on the side of a helmet... Is there a big difference in file sizes between 720 and 1080?
  17. Thanks for posting mate. I've ordered one and for what I want to use it for it'll do the job just fine.
  18. Nah - they could be watching the road or the car in front or their satnav etc - I've done it before. I sometimes turn my head at the other biker inviting a nod, then return it. All this stuff they don't teach you on your das huh I know. I always think, why is this POS not nodding back!? Then I think, yea he probably didn't notice. And then when the next one doesn't nod back, I go through exactly the same process!
  19. Does anyone else get really annoyed when your nod is not returned/acknowledged?
  20. Don't worry bout posting stuff, sooner or later it will be about biscuits or tea.
  21. Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or not? Has anyone seen this? https://store.camboxmeca.com/en/
  22. Thanks mate. I'm considering getting one so that woud be great.
  23. Found this thread via a search for helmet cams. Do you have any updates? How has it been working? Cheers
  24. Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately no luck as yet. For interest sake, what would be the implications if I was to change the colour scheme of the bike? In terms of insurance company, DVLA etc. Just wondering if I have to get the whole kit, but can't find it in my bike's current colour scheme.
