  1. great video, some amazing shots. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Maybe you have a tool in your tool kit that tightens it.
  3. I have a Diversion myself. You will find the tools you will need in your little tool kit that comes with the bike.
  4. I was considering taking the ERS, has anyone done this course? Did you find it useful?
  5. as has already been said, regardless of your security it can be defeated, you just need to make your bike less desirable to thieves. I have an oxford chain and oxford ground anchor, I also put disc locks on both discs. Can't go wrong with Oxford or motrax really.
  6. Nothing came of my last post but I will try again. I was thinking that we could maybe meet at the Melton Pavillion Café which is a well known biker meeting place on Sunday 7th July, have a drink and something to eat then ride on to Rutland Water. Would anyone be interested?
  7. On my daily commute to work there is a road that is heavily congested, I always filter down the middle usualy without any problem. However recently cars have begun to move over into the middle to prevent me from filtering.
  8. Took the bike out today around the country roads near me. I am currently having to run my engine in at the moment so I cant exceed 6k revs but even so I fully enjoyed the ride. Apart from getting caught in a storm and getting soaked! Great roads and beautiful views. The Yamaha XJ6 truly is a brilliant bike. I adore my bike
  9. Great news mate . Biker for life!
  10. don't give up, keep on trying and you will succeed!
  11. wow, I am so jealous, beautiful scenery.
  12. well done, keep us informed on how your mod 2 goes
  13. The YBR was my first bike, used it to pass my test then upgraded to a Yamaha Thundercat. great little bike
  14. I would not really recommend touring great distances on a 125. I had a YBR myself while I was waiting to pass my tests. I found it quite uncomfortable after a while and lacked power when I needed it most. But if you feel confident and comfortable then go for it.
  15. First of all the cosmetics, The bike looks very nice and turns people heads. I have gone for the all black xj6. Now the ride, it handles very well,in the dry and in the wet, the bike is also forgiving when it comes to gear changing. Acceleration on the bike is good and you can take bends with ease. I would give the bike a 4 star rating. The reason I did give the bike a 5 star rating is because the MPG is not great but you can improve it if you ride the bike more economically. I would highly recommend this bike, abs is brilliant and the bike is fitted with the Y.I.S.S.
  16. I get my new bike tomorrow and I would love to be able to take it out on a meet with some of you guys. Would anyone be interested? Any Midlands location I don't mind travelling.
  17. Congratulations on gaining your passport to freedom.
  18. Good luck you will be fine.
  19. I reccomend that you go for the DAS. You will be much safer on a bigger bike and they are not as scary as people seem to portray. You will find that you are a little nervous on a bigger bike at first but after time with an instructor and practice you will be fine, if you go for the restricted I think that you may regret it.
  20. Fantastic write up, I am so jelous!
  21. Great ride today and a great place to visit.

    Cleaning

Can anyone give me any tips and advice on how to keep the bike clean, the products that you use how often you clean. Any advice would be much appreciated
  23. Would be a good idea get a fair result, I ride all year round where as you may have people who just ride at weekends.
  24. I have voted for no, I have never had a car driver behave badly towards me as yet.
  25. Josh that is unlucky. Have you contacted the teste centre I don't know if they would let you do it without all the documents though?
