  1. Ps those VW lights look minute compared to the rest of the light
  2. Interesting and I hear you all. I’m going to upload a video once I’ve worked out how. these lights I’ve got as they are VERY bright with the intention of making you sure you CAN see them whatever the weather conditions. I think I have to upload to You Tube first and link on here, I’m off to try bbs
  3. This is my situation I was talking about rear lights
  4. Currently working on a bobber refit and have added some integrated brake / indicator rear lights. It was mentioned to by in a passing comment that some mot garages may not pass them as they are frowned upon? Any one got any more info on this. Btw these were sold with ECE compliance, I live in the UK Lights are Kellermann 3 in 1 1000df Tia
  5. Errr I’m here Another member got in touch with me and told me about the biscuits, so as quick as I could I ordered some to see what kind of service I got 10/10. Happy Customer Now onto Oreos..... never has a man said that O...... o Wrong forum Sorry
  6. I bought my 125 in March and took my CBT. I’m not a kid so have plenty of road experience. I don’t commute on a bike, I use it purely for pleasure, so when it’s dry and nice out. I’ve done 600 miles on it locally and four longer trips into city centres. Practiced with hill starts, emergency stops, silly mistakes, but thankfully hit nothing and not come off. But in that 600 miles I’ve wanted to progress for better journeys but I feel limited because I’m holding up traffic off from the lights and when on a dual carriageway I’m screaming the nuts off the bike so I don’t have cars up my arse, I worry I’ll wreck the engine or worse. So......erm....I guess this is how it goes, I bought another bike, a 650cc, I cannot ride it yet of course but I could not wait any longer, I’ve taken it out just on my private road which is 100 yds long, but I’ve felt the throb between my legs and I cannot wait to pass my test and go out and be up to 40 and still only be in 3rd gear, instead of working like mad through all 5 gears to get the 30...... Get a 500 -650 cc would be my input The only thing stopping me not getting the full licence currently is money, plain and simple, it’s a couple of rather expensive days, much more so if you fail and have to retake, it’s another £175 just to retake here, extortion but hey, nothing you can enjoy is cheap it seems today
  7. Interesting read indeed Climate change is a huge concern more so for future generations. The world has to change massively, how much is it going to cost, LOTS, is capitalism the way to continue, probably not but we’re not exactly set up for it to change are we.... We don’t live in a Star Trek future sadly......yet We got to start somewhere, difficult future ahead I think
  8. I think your right on that, facey pacey As for the bees I have a nice collection in the garden but they not trained
  9. It would be interesting to know what security they had, and what time of day the theft took place, Thefts are always between 2 and 5 am it seems I’ve asked the same question regards security but information seems to be lacking and on that part
  10. Two more thefts last night Weston Super Mare & Shepton Mallet, both 125s this time
  11. It is both, learner bikes and big 19 plate bikes sadly
  12. So it’s that horrid subject! How rife is it where you live? I only ask as it seems to have moved out of the city’s and into the country, here in Somerset it’s sadly every single night and they are untouchable. Two last night, one the night before, three the night before that. I’ve become paranoid as it’s on my Facebook feed daily and all within a 20 mile radius, it’s got so bad that the people nicking bike’s have opened an Instagram page and are posting photos of the nicked bikes ‘saying smile if you see yours cos were ripping it’ I’ve locked, then locked again, chain upon chain, garage doors alarmed and beefed up locks. Sad times
  13. And btw I ended up the the AJS Regal Raptor lol
  14. Erm I may have got carried away and I have this little number under a cover having odd little jobs done to it
  15. Hey all. I thought I’d do a little introduction of me and my bike. I’m not new to life being 46 but I’ve always loved transport of all kinds, being a HGV driver, Bus Driver, Crane Driver and of course Cars Ive had over 30 of them. Today I drive a 24t Coach for a huge national company and travel around 85k every year on them, so much so that when I get home for my time off the last thing I want to do is drive my car despite it being a nippy 2 seater, it sits on the drive going nowhere, it does not give me that buzz anymore. So, yes you guessed it, I thought how do I get this buzz back........mmmmm bikes maybe? So I tried, not really wanting to be a speed demon and more into enjoying the view I decide to go the cruiser route and bought myself an AJS Regal Raptor, yes I know one of those rubbish Chinese poor built bikes, but that said I also wanted something that was very simple to tinker with, being able to tinker was a big must on my list for buying a bike, I like to spend time in a garage twisting nuts I’ve become well aware of the different styles of bikes and the different buzz people like to get, for me at the moment cruisers seem to fit the part as they are so easy to deal with. I passed my CBT 10 weeks back and have since covered 500 miles on mine, I’ve had no issues with the bike what so ever, it does feel a bit delicate, lots of plastic where it could have been metal, however this does make it a light bike of around 120kg, so easy to handle at low speeds. I’ve had one corner which I took too quick as I thought I was missing a turning, stupid of me, but I got away with it and did not dump me or the bike, I was lucky, lesson learned ,it’s not a car and will throw me if I’m stupid, the lesson learnt was ‘next time if you think you miss a turning, continue on and turn around at a safe point, it’s a bike treat it with respect’ The only other issue I’ve had with it, is I’ve grounded the bracket on the exhaust twice and the second time it tried to dig in and throw me, again I was lucky and somehow corrected myself before coming off. This bike has silly low exhausts on either side and when going round a roundabout and keeping it tight in lane the right hand exhaust flange bracket makes road contact, which surprised me as I did not think I was leaning that much, looking at how these cruisers are designed it’s a bit of a flaw/limitation. I have since been back to said roundabout and went through the same move a few times to correct that issue, ie take it slower and not worry about the car pushing from behind, better to be slower and safer than quicker and dead! Now I know all of you know this stuff but for me it’s so great to be learning something new again and something that gives me that buzz that I’ve been missing, the bike certainly does that, it’s a weird feeling of a thrill crossed with anxiety I think, it’s like a love/hate relationship that you need to keep going back to ha! Anyway, I take my theory in 4 weeks time, so have an app on my phone that I’m using to learn and I expect to go direct access for my mod 1 in July. I’m looking forward to the ride and sharing it. Here’s a picture of my not so little 125 Cheers Simon
  16. Thanks for the replies everyone It’s a newish bike, bought it a year old silty 500 miles on the clock. Yup 125 so very quiet bike, never noted the noise with the helmet on just when I was in my local road. Took the rear pass out the other day and found the bike been supplied with no back plate to the pads as in rattle plate which o thought a bit odd, thought bike were done the same as cars ? Anyway applied some copper grease to the back of the pads, will let you all know the end result when I next get out
  17. Hi, So I’m riding a new bike that’s just clocked 1000 miles and now the rear wheel is making an on/off brake type noise every rotation of the wheel. This sound vanishes the minute I apply the rear brake, brakes absolutely fine but obviously the sound is coming from the Caliper. If if wiggle the calliper in my hand and then ride off, the noise stops for a few cycles of the wheel and the returns. Badly seated pads or what? Do I need to remove said calliper or am I looking at some kind of adjustment Thanks in advance
