It looks like its designed to be worn jsut over a t-shirt, although like you mention, I would question its abrasion protection. It brings to mind more motorcross style protection, although it does mention tarmac If the armour is plastic so will let you slide on it then I would try it, but if the padding is foam of any sort personally I wouldnt risk it without a leather or textile as well.

I might be up for this, will have to check what im doing etc but if you dont mind, keep me in the loop. be good to meet folks down this way

Just throwing it out there, you said you looked in mirror and jsut saw the grill. Could he have been trying to warn you he didnt think he could stop? if he's cocked up and come in too fast etc? Dont know owt about driving cars even let alone hgv's so may be completly off but he might not be a bad guy, just was mis-understood
That said, yeh can imagine it would be quite a shock, congrats for not panicing, sounds like you done everything right

Oh come now, I'm sure we can be civilised (after all we arn't northern ) its the ladies pick, and since nat is a girl and not a lady it goes to harrision
Might be up for power rangers, but also think I might ahve found a different costume I prefer, so will see once we have more definate plans
-
Pic
I'm pretty sure we look close to that anyway, so its not really fancy dress lol.
-
Is anyone running a lottery on how many 'Storm Troopers' will appear this year?
Hmm, do you reckon if i come as vader I could order them to buy me drinks
And too right on the weather front. I'm getting excited about this already and its still soo far away lol
-
Massive condolences to Kersh and Iwannagofast. Rip to both who lost their lives.
Not shaping up to be a good day for many people
-
Clutch fluid maybe, assuming you have a hyrdaulic clutch?
-
Haha thats joke, how bout me you, bullet, fozzie, jin etc basically the "young'ns" all go dressed as power rangers? haha
HMM, you have piped my interest. shotgun the blue one if we do do this lol.
Oh yeh, hope your up for a long ride, google maps says avoiding highways we are looking at jsut over a 4 hr trip should find plenty of good roads in that much time
-
No idea what to do for fancy dress Any ideas?
A teapot? A parrot? Stewie? worlds your oyster fella
Need to work out what im gonna do, completly forgot last year (and wouldnt have had room on the bike, what with the tent sticking up like a sail lol)
-
Haha, if you really bottle it then can do ruthie, but be warned, your'll never live it down
Do we need to book in advance for meals, or can we decide on the day sorta thing? Cos last year i think we had food one day and got stuff from a local tesco for the other day, jsut sorta made it up as we went along
-
I know that me gin and chris did, think i recall dan and the missus inside as well. was fair amount of people inside, maybe 50/50 split
-
Not suitable for road use, but suitable for pillions? where do they think pillions ride
-
roads with the cliff edge right at the edge of the tarmac!
thats a good reason to take it easy.
you set a good pace when you met up with us lot though, so that was alright. We'll jsut skim over what bikes we were all on though just have to get more practice at it
-
Hmm, we tend to be riding with a 125 or 2 in our group so ride at the pace of the slowest rider, although we will enjoy twisties at whatever we like, then jsut slow down again on the straights. We generally are just killing time though, so its fun jsut riding. If we need to get soemwhere then we all know where we're going so isnt such a problem
-
I'm jsut up the road from ace, so i'll come along if i'm free, bit far planning though so will have to see
-
"...it`s fun to be at the BMTF, BMTF,...."
HAHA I'd completly forgotten about that. I'm wondering what will be thought up to top last years performance
-
Don't worry, the average mental age is about 18 I think lol
Though yeah I'll be 21 this year, if Jin, Chris & Spafe turn up they're about 19? Sure one of them will be along to correct.
Along I come aaaannnd, i'm 21, the other two are 20. Mentally at a push we can prob get to 18 combined
Just wondering is anyone around the age of 20 or below and slightly immature going? Otherwise I'm gunna feel well outta placeWant to meet up and ride up there? We're in Harrow/Uxbridge area if your near us?

Seems a bit out of order, find another more accomadating school
Where I done my test (not das but they had the same approach), they put you on a bike for about 30 mins when you were booking and assessed what level you were at, then gave you the number of days they would need to get you to pass. Basically if you then failed they gave you more lessons for free, so cost a tad more, but meant they were commited to getting you through the test.
Research into different schools seems like a good idea at this point, good luck, dont let it put you off!

I find my back break is powerful enough to use on its own on my 125. My old 650 it was used to keep the rear wheel from skipping etc when cornering, rather than actual stopping. Not sure what it will be like on the GSX. Figured different bikes have different amounts of stopping power

How'd the theory go?
Just checked with couple of mates, they used passmasters or a place in wembly called elite motorcycles, but i'd guess thats not easier to get to for you. Sorry mate, good luck finding one
-
Ah yeh they are a tad out of the way (didnt consider that as I was on a 125 at the time).
Not sure of any others nearby, will have a ask around later today and see if any of my mates used ones nearer to you.
Good luck with your theory test
