In his last year at Man U Jose reported a burglary at the club. One of the reporters asked, "Did they get any cups". Jose replied, "No they didn't get into the kitchen".

Hi there.
There's a friendly group meet up at Fimber on the B1248. I'm not sure if it's an official group. They meet there at about 10am every Wednesday, weather permitting. and after refreshments they set off.
I've seen them split into two separate groups when there's a lot of them. The riders are from around York and North Humberside. Last week they went to the garden centre at Cross Butts just outside Whitby.
Regards.

Hi.
Thanks for the info. If the weather continues to improve I'm going to have a ride out Pickering way, there's a popular little cafe near the Flamingo Park junction.
It was shown as open when I checked.
Regards.

Hi.
I'm trying to find out if Fimber bike cafe is open for the season yet. It's on the B1248 just down from Seaways.

Hi.
This is a guess cos I'm a bit weak on mech issues. Could the the bike have gone into limp home mode to stop the engine from being overstressed.

Hi.
Just read this on the news. The Russians have been banned from the Eurovision Song Contest. What the hell good will that do for the poor people of the Ukraine. It's not a joke but the Russian war lords might think it is.

Can't see much changing unless that cycling Mikey comes looking for us
Hi.
I've watched some his video's. He seems to be a decent bloke with strong ideas about fair play on the roads. But as we say in Whitby, he sails a bit close to the wind.
It's his camera and reputation I think that's saved him from receiving a load of violence.

Hi.
It's only three days old and the media hype has taken off. There's gonna be violence.

Hi.
As regards rule H2. Ref Roads turning into. As has been previously mentioned there's going to be some rear end bumps. Tailgaters and other following vehicles intending to go straight on will be the main culprits, not paying attention while you are about to make your turn and then you having to give way to pedestrians.
As a cyclist and a motor cyclist I'll be keeping well to the left in a left turn. I fear the worst when intending a right and I have to remain stationary in the middle of the road.
In the the busy towns and cities a vehicle could be waiting a very long time for the junction to be clear of pedestrians.
Regards.

Me and my mate were in a pub having a couple of pints. Four blokes built like brick toilets came in and started to kick off. My mate said, Tell em we're police and they'll leave us alone. I barely got half way through Roxanne before they kicked the shit out of us.

Hi.
Watched the above 1990 film on TV last night. The acting and the plot wasn't much to write home about. To see the assortment of different bikes however was brilliant.

Hi.
My rented garage is in a cul de sac about two hundred yards from my house. I'm a bit paranoid and If I'm being followed by any strange vehicles I go round the block and lose them before turning into the road. Sometimes easily spotted they invariably are vans or pickups fitted with orange lights and highway maintenance type signs. Usually two or three up and wearing them hi viz tabards.
The garage is a prefab with a not to strong up and over door. I use a chain and I've got an additional padlock on the door but if they want to be in they will get in. I too had to pay more on my premium.
I feel more confident with the bike secure in the garage and not on the street.

Hi all.
Went down to butchers today for a couple of pork chops. Had me Honda hoodie on and ended up having a chat with an interesting old guy there. He was about to tell me about a Honda 125 step through he had from the American market.
However he then started to tell me about the Velocette's he owned. A 1950s Valiant and an LE. I was just stood there and trying to take all the info in.
I'm hoping to bump into him again. I never got to know if he stills rides them, and I want to know a bit more about the Honda.
Amazing old chap.

Hi all.
After a couple of weeks delay the above arrived today. Ten minute job to fit it. Some decent fittings and a decent looking small smoked screen.
Not that keen fitting a screen to a naked bike but I'm hoping it might help take the cold blast of air away from the chest. I can soon take it off for the summer.
I haven't ridden far yet with it on. Could have done maybe with it yesterday. Cold old ride to Fimber cafe and it was shut.
Regards.

Hi.
Had a good day and managed to fit some pig tails before the bad weather sets in. Not easy to do on me 2021 Honda CB125R.
Seats off, tank shield off and then undo the petrol tank. After elevating the front of the tank you can finally get access to the battery.
Bit of a nightmare relocating the tank shield back into the plastic pop off clips.
The charger connectors seem to have a decent weather proof cap on the end but I'll keep an eye on it and if need be I'll relocate it under the seat.

Hi.
Managed to fit an R and G tail tidy to my 2021 Honda CB125R today before the rain set in. I did it without pulling the plugs apart under the seat.
I took the reg plate off and then turned the whole lump of plastic with the indicators still on upside down and laid it on the tyre. There was plenty of length in the loom to do it.
Once I had taken a photo of the wiring it was next to easy to transfer to new across. It's transformed the look of the bike rear and side on. Got rid of that huge lump of plastic fender, as it's named.
I took extra precautions to protect the wire connections against the weather and the gunge that's going to be thrown up underneath. And I live by the sea.
Well pleased with it and the quality of the kit.
Regards.

Hi.
I'm seventy eight and started late, you might say. I've had four bikes in six years and I've done three two yearly CBTs. I've had some great fun on a 2019 Yamaha YZF 125 R and I've just got the 2021 Honda CB125R.
I don't intend going through the process of a test. I suspect me next bike will be a trike. That's probably the most convenient and practical route for me. That way will allow me to carry a pillion, go on a motorway and chuck the bloody L plates.
You have age on your side and I would respectfully suggest you go for it. If you have a riding school near to you why not have a go at direct access. You can start on a 600 bike and once you've cracked it your appetite will take over and the fun begins.
Go for it.
Regards.

It seems to be a bit pot luck! .. I bought a bike in July and the V5c came in a week .. My lad bought a car 6 weeks ago and hasn't received the V5C yet.

Got me new bike on the 4th of Sept. On the road price included road tax. Still waiting for the registration book to appear by post.
I realize that the some DVLA staff are working from home, in their slippers, unsupervised, but is there anyone else out there with a 1st of September bike and not having yet received their registration book.
They wont entertain an enquiry until eight weeks have elapsed from application.

Egton Bridge to Stape`

Hi all.
Brilliant ride out today, Whitby to Egton Bridge and onto the Stape road and over the moors through Cropton. Onto the main road at Wrelton, through Pickering onto Scarborough and back home.
Met Larius Lambus just above the Roman Road on the lookout for marauding hordes.
Regards.
