  1. Great car:) Best one I ever had was Subaru Impreza Loved it to bits but I had to sell it after I got divorced Just couldn't afford it
  2. I drive 2001 Ford Mondeo 2.0TDdi Ghia Bought for £1000 with 160000 miles on the clock lol. Failed MOT on rear brakes, one track rod end and one front wheel bearing. Parts were about £200, a few hour job and all done:) Did almost 8000 miles in the last few months including trip to Poland without any problem But from Monday I'm leaving it for my girlfriend
  3. Re-booked my CBT for Saturday I can't wait lol
  4. Well we all buy what we can afford and even cheap stuff is better than none Of course it is better to buy new and quality brand items as you can be sure they will protect you better than some old, cheap stuff. But in my opinion items are getting better with price rise only up to a certain point. I doubt £600 jacket would be any better than £300 good company jacket so I wouldn't waste my money on anything TOO expensive. I just for example can't understand price range of those Shoei helmets. How £600 helmet can be much better than £200 helmet?? Of course it may be a few grams lighter and made from some outer space material but come on... Its like difference between good MP3 player and Ipod, technically they are almost the same, even some players are less annoying than Ipods but APPLE sticker just adds 40% to the price... But thats only my personal opinion
  5. Due to our beautiful weather you may guess what happened with my booking Booked for next Sunday Well, at least I had some time yesterday and got myself a helmet
  6. Wouldn't that be dangerous to your wrists in the event of an off? They would be very exposed... Just my thought
  7. Well, as my driving license just arrived from DVLA I am able to book a CBT now. I've just booked it for this Sunday with this school: http://www.2wt.co.uk/2wt/Home.html The guy sounded very nice and helpful over the phone so it looks like I will be on the road very soon woohoo
  8. ...for £7 from ebay lol. Not new but in very good condition Also £17 for a leather gloves and just a helmet left but that obviously not from ebay... well, unless I try one local an get one like it cheaper on net Put a bit on a bike also Auction ends tomorrow at noon so I hope I'll be very close to riding soon Bike unfortunately is one of the chinese 125s but I don't care. Good enough for me to learn a couple of months until I do my full tests Soooo roll on biking lol
  9. Where do I begin... my worst day ever... Drove to Leeds this morning about 6.30 for my medical appointment and just when I arrived my car died. Battery I thought. Called my friend who came around 9.00am and jump-started me car. Ok, I thought, off to the halfords for a new battery. Fortunately they did free battery check and turned out my was fine... WTF?? So off to home I go. Managed to get to Wakefield (7-8miles) and my car died again. Was lucky I pulled right to Kwik-Fit garage. Unlucky Kwik-Fit is most useless garages in the world. So had to arrange some breakdown cover. But as I was already broken down the AA ripped me off £138 for a most basic cover that is £30 over the internet. Ok, I swallowed it. Patrol came over, tested my battery and turned out my alternator was f**ked. He said I can get home as it was still charging a bit so off I went again. After incredible 0.5 mile my car died again. Another phone to AA, same patrol showes up and decision... As my cover doesnt include recovery to home and lady over the phone quoted me £110 extra for this option I thought I was really f**ked now but hey, no choice. I had to get home somehow. Fortunately AA guy was a great bloke and fitted me with his spare battery and followed me all the way to my home for free. Thanks man So Ive bought an alternator off ebay for £40 and I will sort it when it arrive. BUT I really need a car to get to Leeds every morning by 7am until Saturday or I will lose £1800 so I had to rent a car for a week for £160 and pay £35 for a taxi to pick it up before they close. So that was my great day. My car is dead, lost almost £400 and wasted all day . F**K IT!!!
  10. I really know what you mean. After my divorce and financial sh!t ive ended up in everytime I think I can stand up straight again something comes from the past and I end up in sh!t again F**k it!! for me and F**k it!! for you too
  11. I use this Navigon. It is really good. I went to Poland and back a few months ago without any problems. It was even better than my previous trip with Tomtom. Only annoying thing about it when battery goes flat it then takes AGES to get sattelite signal. But other than that its just great and for £100 got full Europe maps, speed cameras, roadworks and traffic updates
  12. Thats a good point here. Now everytime I drop in I can just read latest posts:)
  13. Hi. Great blog, I really like it and it is very useful as I am going to become a rider as well:) One thing would make reading your blog much easier: if it was possible to switch posts order other way around as it is a bit hard to read it from bottom to top;) Other than that I really enjoyed it and will keep an eye for a new posts. Good work
