Aint that hard, I've done it and would do it again... For a price Tmobile cocked up my bill and took the last £100 out of my account so atm i dont have money to feed myself nevermind to buy things for the bike sadly.

F*CK SAKE!!! bought the wrong bloody fairing again!!! AHHH!! therefore the bloody bikes not having one!! going to just not have the side fairings on for now till i can bloody find one! I CANNOT ANYWHERE!!!! soooooo... as the engine is filthy and not realy presentable its coming out on sunday and at some point getting degreased and painted black! and other bits and pieces will be getting stripped an cleaned too!

Well no progress has happened in AGGGESSS!!! sadly This is due to me moving to uni and such and the workload is intense... anyway... I have finally sourced and bought a L/H fairing, so now the fairing is complete. Its now going to be painted but theres no timescale on that as im not sure realy when i can get anything else done and what with winter coming theres no big rush anyway. Much still to do, have decided not to bother going too much into it so just generally going to give it abit of a tidy up and get it on the road. Still the front brake capilers to rebuild and bleed all the brakes, then will take the front end off and paint the bottom of the forks as theyre flakey.... then basically give it a service and away we go hopefully insure it as its only £190 for the year and get a few days in before the snow hits, but we will see how we go first.... Sorry for the realy slow progress, i had intended at first to have this dont before i went to uni, but having a faff with a company who sent me the wrong fairing ect and my better half starting a jon ive not had time realy

Well haven't been upto anything at all. Which is a real shame. Been real busy with work and sitting uni out ect ect, just general life realy. Panels are with my friend for paint, havnt got the left side as they cocked up and infact didn't have my fairing! What pissed me off more was the fact they weren't even going to tell me, they waited till i got back from the lakes, found there wasn't a fairing here and rung them to find out what's going on! : anyway got a full refund... just can't find anouther fairing!!!! I will just have to run it without for the time being. Might finaly finish off the brakes tonight.......

Best to stay away from the super sports bikes at your age, you'll not get a reasonable quote for one until your about 21 or built up a few years no claims im afraid. The sv650 is lovely, and jamiek here is about your age and has one, 04 plate too i think. Dont think his insurance was too bad either, so perhaps your best looking at something like that. Plus it'll restrict better than a bloody r1! Are you trying to kill yourself lol!

Sadly not. Just got back from a doggy weeks camping in the lakes lol! But when i arrived back i found the package with the new rad mounts in just need to see if my new fairing is here

Hello, update for you all: Brakes are still in bits an will be until i get back from hold next friday But rung the guys up yesterday about them sending me the wrong fairing and they said ring again today so i have and good news, they will be collecting the old one and bringing on that fits my bike hapy days!!! At no extra cost to me too Very happy with them! And happy that it will all b painted soon

Well a little update. Not been upto much as me and sam bag been busy with work and i was at a rally this weekend. Managed to get the pistons out of the front calipers, going to clean them up and get pics tonight. Sadly the fairing i bought is for the L model not my H model so will have to send it back, bought it off egay so dont know how hard its going to be sending it back and getting a refund : the biggest kick in the teeth is im sendig all the fairing to a friend of mine tommorow to be sprayed (he's done it in the past for a living) so think ill get everything sprayed and when i get the left fairing just send it down to him to spray. Ill just have to ride it without fairing for now.... well when its ready anyway! Dont know how long its going to take to source the left side fairing as there are none on egay or anywhere else i can see.... found 2 H models being broken on the internet but as its a bank holiday no one is answering so will have to wait until tommorow

Black fairing, with metallic red frame, swingarm, hangers and stuff Powercoating is a no no, £150 plus VAT for frame, swingarm and wheels. Not too bad but i guess i could DIY.

Right i shall be ringing a few powdercoaters tommorow and get some quotes, anything over £120 and im not bothering. Will be done in the garage. Now what to do about the fairing?

Lol megawatt you can see it the pics, its the browny coloured stuff in the middle of the piston. The rear is the same, we did try to get it out but it seems its meant to be there. Fozzie- i like the idea of powder coating and not bothered about cost but matching the red will be very very hard. Hmmm... maybe i could send the lot? Frame, swingarm, wheels and hangers....... orrrrrrr we could DIY the lot ourselves?

Yeh anything not standard looking is good i like being asked about my bikes, got that alot with my aprillia! Hmm wheels. They're gloss black atm and hadn't thought about painting then as they're in brill condition.... although if bike is going matt then shiney wheels wont work with it??? Megawatt i only just now realised how you meant to get them out lol! The piston is solid as it has this material in it to stop vibration we think so can't get anything "in" the piston.
