Hey, the exhaust on the zxr400 is abit "holey".... now i know i should realy be buying a new exhaust but do you think that gungum on the holes and the exhaust heat wrap stuff you cant get will do for now while i save up for some better downpipes? thanks

I rode a dtr for a long time! Brill bikes on the road imo! Only if you get decent tyres though. You can get a type called "cats paws", its the type of tread. (Half on road have off road). They're alot better on the road than propper offroad tyres they're tall bikes so id try on for size if you can to make sure it'll fit. Older ones are 2 stroke (the one in your pic is for example) they are 2 stroke so require 2 stroke oil. I dont know if it wad just the bike i rode (my bfs old bike) but it had s powervalve and was derestricted to 33bhp. Which is illegal on a cbt btw so make sure you take a good look before you buy. Especially ad these types of bike seem to attract the young chav kind of person who will rag it and clog it on to you when it dieing!

Hey, Battery of the xjr couldn't be saved so im going to but a new one. Does anyone know what battery goes in the xjr? Or can any motor ycle 12v battery be used? Thanks

Vacuum pump did its magic. Bikes runs sweet as a nut minus a blowing exhaust : which i didn't know about but ohwelll.... battery is on charge as we speak!

No smell of fuel. And just been out to turn it off prime... my bad.

Im planning on going for ride tommorow so quick fix hopefully in the morning. Will add some form of carb cleaner in when i put fresh fuel in

Probs 3 months max.... surely wouldn't go off that quick. I think its more the fact that fuels dried up

Left it on prime for now till my bf brings a vaccuum pump round to try that. I will also try tapping the bottom of the carbs. Cheers

I need some help guys and girls. Got the xjr out to jump start, using a car to jump start it off (i understand you shouldn't have the car ignition on or car running). Anyway bike sounds like it wants to start but wont. Its been stood a few months so im thinking the fuel has dried up in carbs, is there an easy way to get fuel into the carbs without having to strip everything? Also any other suggestions as to why its not starting. I thought this would be easy... silly me!

It may be too late but i didn't know bridges where included.... but... can the transporter bridge in middlesbrough be considered? I believe it to be a famous bridge Ps nothing to do with the fact its local to me
