  1. @Stu could find out by checking phpMyAdmin!

If it's a member that hasn't been seen for a while then it's cause for concern.

And if it's someone taking the piss then ban the twat!

Bit extreme XTtreme. I don't think the W.H.O is using the data to strategize. I would be interested to know who the other is though just because I'm nosey. I think I may have had it back in January before it got all commercialised and went mainstream. Most of the systems and still have the remnants of a cough

Not really.......it gets people unnecessarily worried about friends they may have on here!

Particularly if they haven't been on for a while.

Ok.... So how do you prove they didn't genuinely think they had it? I know you're the expert on Coronavirus but if you can do this I will be impressed.

  2. It's for dressing leadwork on roofs etc

I used to enjoy flashing on roofs  :thumb:

That one cam from my mum, who was 74 and a as far as I was aware never a roofer, neither was my farther...

Thank you for solving the mystery but leaves me wondering how the hell

Used to be the plumbers job but I understand it's generally done by a "specialist" now

  4. So no Rubber/wooden/soft face hitting stick ....Shame on you ....

Sorry I forgot to list and the plastic one in with the tent...

And the copper / plastic headed one.

I don't think I have a rubber one, although when I have tidied my tools up and checked it might become a necessity..

Ps I really don't know what the one on the left is for... Maybe working leather or cloth or saddles, for horses...

    Any guesses...

  5. Thats the garage set ... Could not be arsed getting the Car set ,bike set , track day set or the spare set oh or impact set and the straight through set out .... The 3/4 nch set doesn't go down to 10mm IMG_20191230_121332_01_01.jpg

All looking a bit unused. Is this willy just for show or can it be used in anger? 😉

Was actually brand new out of box Christmas present . ( can see packing just in bottom of shot )

My old socket set i have had the majority since my early teens and they took me through my YTS in garages and later through working for three different local garages on a who needed help as well as my own repairs . Fancied having some order in the trays rather than the mishmash of mixed sets .

They don't get used as much as i used to but that's due to a: relatively new bike still under warranty &B. not a lot of time for me to do stuff and garage has become a bit cluttered ....Which plans are in place at present .

So no not just willy waving ... Which reminds me i did find my king dick . picture to follow

Lovely set up mate I was just teasing

  6. My School had an ER6 and a Harley 1200xl. I started on the Harley but swapped to the Kwaka because the self cancelling indicators on the Harley were more of a hindrance that a help. Ironically I then almost failed my mod two for not cancelling an indicator. Examiner said his thumb was hovering over the intercom button but I noticed it a just before I passed a junction.

I could be accused of being biased but she does everything including mile munching and making some sportsbikes look a bit sluggish.

    LOL.

    Cheers

I really want to get a ride on one to see if I'd get on with it

I found it to be a really comfortable easy bike to ride and great for a short fat lad. I'm quite confident it's pretty quick too but I wasnt brave enough to find out.

  8. The Kawasaki will be much better protection wise. Im not the best person to ask because I only ride for fun rather than commuting so wind protection isn't something I really worry about.

A CBR 500 will give you the looks and be a bit more beginner friendly. Never ridden one so can't vouch for fun factor but will be reliable.

If you want to try something that will change your mind about caring what it looks like you'd could try a VRF800X. Not a looker but a great "do everything" bike guaranteed to make you smile.

This is all making me want to buy another bike 🤦🏼‍♂️

I won't be commuting for work, Will just be for fun after work and on weekends, i will need to travel on Dual-carriageways occasionally but not often. A naked may be absolutely fine for this, i just have no experience to go off of. I definitely like the sport bike look the most though. Go and get one ;)

Naked bikes are fine as long as they have a bit of weight to them . I've done two 1600 mile tours of Scotland on my little ER5 with no issues at all .

Agreed,.it will be nothing like riding your 125

  9. Love the look of the Kawasaki and the triple.Would the triple give enough wind protection on dual carriageway? The Kawasaki is the exact style j have in my head though. Thank you.

  10. Thanks for the recommendation. I ended up at West Coast in Glasgow. Was the best price at the time which I know can often be a mistake as I found out when I bought my Africa Twin from Fowler's (I now know known locally as foul ups) of Bristol.

Was a totally different experience. Couldn't have been made to feel more valued as a customer. I just wish I wasn't 400 miles away from them as it would be nice to go there for servicing etc.

You will laugh your socks off if and when you learn my surname LOL.

    No relation by the way!!!!!

    Cheers

    Ian

    I'm gutted it's not Frog

  11. Everyone is different so you will need to testride as many as you can but a pretty good start would be a street triple

If you want something that looks like a sportbike but is much more comfortable and a tiny bit less scary then I absolutely loved the z1000sx. The 2017 onwards model is nicer imo but the older ones are still great bikes

  13. There always seems to be one arse at every dealership and he's usually in charge.

When I passed my test I fell in love with a Harley. It had been beautifully customised by HD and used for 3 months as an ornament in their offices (this may have been dealer BS but it sounded feasible ). The guy on the shop floor couldn't have been more helpful, answered all my questions and gave me a test ride on a demonstrator. I asked how long I had and he said come back when you're ready to buy it, or at 5oclock. 10 mins was enough. Went back and he sent me over to the "business manager" to do the deal. I always ask for a discount and on a 15k bike figured there would be some wiggle room or at very least some free goodies. When I said is there anything you can do with the price he sniped "well I can put it up for you if you really want." I got up and walked out. That bike sat in there for another 6 months gradually being reduced in price. It was up for 11999 when it finally disappeared. I'd have paid full price if he had just said "I'd love to but it owes me too much, here have a free umbrella/cap/first service."

Well done you for sticking to your guns!

I must admit as the price dropped I bet you were tempted on a number of occasions lol.

    Cheers Ian

I can't really accept that credit although I like to think I would have even if I didn't stop at Yamaha on the way home and put a deposit down on their replica Harley Breakout.

I've since been through a couple of bikes and landed back on a Harley but it wasn't from that dealer!
