  1. My front tyre needs replacing soon but I'm not happy with the make. The back still has a few thousand miles left on it. So, what are your thoughts about mixing tyres?

  2. i've had the sj4000 for a month now and i'm very impressed with it.

looks like the hero 3 and specs are almost as good.

lots of bits and pieces come with it inc the waterproof case.

i ordered a few extra batteries as they only last about 90 minutes. i have it on 10min record so it will overwrite the old videos if i don't want to keep it. i bought mine from Tmart. there is a new one which is slightly more expensive but is Wi-Fi, i believe it sends video directly to your smart phone or tablet if you want it to.

  3. OK, well, I've been trying out the new camera, the sj4000. i'm still trying to find the best settings/position etc but it's looking good at the moment. i tried it on the front of the bike but there was to much vibration so i'm trying it on the side of my helmet.

    hope these links work.

  4. so sorry to hear the missus is not going to go any further with her riding. but you will love riding 2 up. my wife has problems with arthritis and other problems which means she can't physically ride her own bike, but we love riding 2 up, we have intercoms and we (she) talk and talk and talk ( :blah: ).

not sure what type of bikes you like but the BMW R1200RT is fab, not to heavy, lots of luggage space, great engine and i'm told the new model is even better.

ride safe and above all both of you have fun.

  5. i have a head which doesn't fit most helmets, seems i'm an odd shape, lol.

i have tried on dozens of helmets and can only wear 3 with comfort.

one is the shoie neotec but at £400+ i'd be s**t scared to wear it in case i dropped it. the other ones are caberg downtown s but as an open face i can only use it during the summer, the last one is the LS2, a cheap £70 lid but with a 4 star rating. i have just bought my second one, the new 370 easy, a flip up lid, and it is so comfortable, average weight, built in sun visor and good ventilation. pinlock ready too. if i have the money i'd deffo buy the neotec, but for now i feel happy with this one (i'm hoping i'll never get the chance to try it but confident it will do the job)

  6. Hi Keith, how's the recovery from the op going?

slow mate. i keep thinking today's the day i'll try the bike then i start getting ready and off the elbow goes, pain and aching.

i know it's better than it was but still got pains in the joint, see surgeon on Monday so i'll see what is what.

fingers crossed it will keep improving. i'm bored, want to get back to work (OMG I've finally lost the plot) :raspberry:

  7. bought last year for my son, but he hasn't got round to doing his cbt yet, so i run it about from time to time. but it seems to take ages to settle into the idle. was wondering if anyone in or around the Sunderland are could have a look at the carb for me. happily offer a few pints of nectar for any help.

  8. i read about the recall.

i'm sure it said they would be doing the replacement at the service rather than a full recall.

but no recall or suggestion of any notice at my local BMW dealer that they are going to do anything yet.

the fault turned out to be a worn fuel pump control unit.

replaced under warranty and had new Tyre fitted at same time.

seems to be running ok now.
