  1. they are snap head bolts the idea of them is t o tighten them until the head shears off to prevent tampering you can either drill into them and use an easy out or use a fine chisel to tap them round to undo them both can be a pain to do but both will work or if you are not going to reuse that ign switch you could cut the side of it off to espose the side of the bolt then tap it with chisel once you have made it turn then it will come out slowly
  2. could come in handy in the event of running out of fuel
  3. tell you what josh if you can sit on that for all the rides and challenges then i wouldnt mind betting the forum would have a whip round to pay for it just to see you do it
  4. the post wasnt a near miss then it was a total miss......missing from the forum
  5. if anyone is interested for this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/lexmoto-vixen-huonian-125-custom-2006-spares-or-repair-project-/322036133912?hash=item4afad97018:g:32oAAOSwZQxW4pJG
  6. when you look at the v5 under the photo you have placed on it there is a box that states registered keeper.......................i agree the bit you are on about states 0 previous keepers but you had put it into your name then it would of said 1 previous keeper and name in the main box under the photo would appear at the bottom where it currently says 0 and you name would take the place of the current one making it 1 previous keeper
  7. yes no previous recorded keepers but when you look at the top of the front page whos name is on it that is the first registered owner and it means its one owner from new not 0 owners
  8. having just read the ebay advert how can it be 0 owners or do you mean 1 owner from new it cant be 0 owners as it has been registered since 1999 and used by a riding school so legally it has had at least 1 owner?
  9. why not use the money to pass your test then get the pleasure of riding something instead of getting someone else to ride anything over 125 for you
  10. it is fine but to much creamy oil emulsifies in the filter and can cause it to block if not careful it is best to give the bike a good run at least once a week if it is only used on short journeys so that you allow the oil to get up to a good working temperature
  11. source a new brake pedal heating and bending the old one back will make it brittle or snap and if it snaps while out on the road it could have serious consequences and as the others have said the pics are not showing but the air box has a breather on it the engine crankcases has a breather on it the carb has an overflow pipe on it the battery will or should have an open vent pipe on it the pic working will help more
  12. on the sr the fork top cap is what secures them into the yokes thats why there is no pinch bolt.can you not use the ybr yokes as well and if needs be press the stems out and use the sr stem ?
  13. dont forget you might have import charges to pay on it once it arrives in the uk and it will not be delivered until you pay them
  14. that was just one of several listings i found on evilbay for the year you want its just a case of looking
  15. thats unlucky sorry to hear that liam the bad news is with the light and fairing damage the insurance company might write the bike off but the main thing is you are ok

  18. thats where you need to be able to have a look at the air filter condition,if they serviced it then it should be new otherwise they just *checked it over* in other words yes its full of oil yes the tyres are black and round job done its ready to go
  19. Usually let it tick over and warm up 10/15 min's. Thank you for that bit of information, i will pull it out Monday/tuesday. Hopefully the wheel will be with us by then, last set of plugs were bit naffed was running rich. I hadn't tuch it since because it was running like a gem. its no good pulling them after its been sat idling it needs to have hada run so its getting fuel fed into the engine from the main jets not the slow running ones hence giving it a run down the road for the mot or something similar and then check plug colour
  20. stuff the car glad you got out safe and well but it could of been a different story if the car was on fire and you were having problems with the seatbelt
  21. it can also be the weather conditions affect it with the dampness in the air can make some bikes run different at times but like phil says its the joys of a 125
  22. so i just saw stu they are more expensive as well get less pay more
  23. all the motobatts have 4 terminals which is the good bit about them and they tend to have higher CCA than a lot of other batteries as well even one for my harley is only £70
  24. get one of these and wire it onto the battery so you can plug it in when not in use ive got the same problem of no power in my shed but im getting one of these as it will keep it topped up http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/ ... ........oh and they retail at £39.99 but if you have got a trade card they are £29.99
  25. now its had a decent run (providing you have been sitting letting it tick over for ages again) pull a spark plug out and check the colour of it to see how its running it might need a bit of adjusting but you also have to rev them fairly well to get them going if i remember correctly
